With regards to the schedule they set. Friendly and non intimidating interview happened to me last night. Thank you Ma’am Tamara.

Very bad service . I tried registering with them and every time they say one or other document is pending even though I sent it multiple times. They don’t update their system and keep asking about same documents again and again . Now they have suspended me from the account saying that application has taken long time and can not access the portal now.

I’m writing the below comment after receiving a response from Thornbury.

The person who was assigned to me called me three or four times, asking me about the same questions, though I said I was not competent with those skills. Thornbury should have informed me that I couldn’t proceed further and instead wasted my time as well. The last person who I spoke to clearly mentioned that if I’m not competent with particular skills, I can’t apply for the specific job role. I really appreciate you saying that openly. Also, I had already informed the team that my preferred time to answer the calls would be after 4 p.m. on weekdays due to my working hours. Irrespective of saying this multiple times, Thornbury calls during my work hours and expects me to answer the calls. Also, I did not have any information about who to contact when the assigned person was on leave.

I think if they don’t want you to join, they will give you a deadline and then give you the run around. They will ask that you email a document and few weeks down the line they will say you needed to send it via a system you have no control over which they have to set up. They will just constantly play tricks until the deadline and they will just cut you off. Very unprofessional. But organisations play these discriminatory tricks and games all the time to sideline people they don’t like for whatever reason so its nothing new.

l have been working with Thornbury nursing and l prefer to work for them as their standards are exceptional. Caring and compassion is at the heart of everything they do. There are always great at resolving any query and support for staff and thats why l feel great and proud working for Thornbury and will continue working for them. Highly recommended.

The process to join is very lengthy. You have to do alot of chasing up there no emails back and forth. I'm sure there easier ways to do it. The problem i had, when asking for updates is nothing was consistent. People were telling me different information and telling me to do stuff that I had already completed. It was so frustrating saying the same thing over and over again. Some of the people on the phones were willing to help to move it forward which I appreciated and even carried on my application whilst waiting for the final reference. Just not a good experience when I was relying on completing this whilst on sick to get back on my feet which delayed alot of things for myself. The reason why I firstly wanted to join is off the back off hearing about the good experiences my friends were having. Just a little disappointed

29/03/2023 at around 10:15 I spoke to Theresa who was exceptionally nice and helpful. I know that in most cases we complain that a few of the TNS consultants are not helpful and sound abrupt but Theresa and few others don’t see us as just workers but as the TNS family.
15 minutes after our initial call Sarah the senior placement consultant contacted me to say they were happy to book me on a couple of shifts at ABC, overriding the shift request requirements (the usual BB what not). Keep up the hard work

They should be looking after me but I feel like I should be looking after them there very rude and ignorant would never recommend I feel sorry for whoever comes across them there not very inconsiderate I’m a very light sleeper and they blast music all night early hours of the morning, they leave the placement in a absolute mess. without my consent they go in my room taking my belongings they can be very aggressive and not understanding.

Very pleasant phone interaction with Evan on the booking team...very polite and approachable when dealing with shift enquiries. I felt valued as a staff after my communication especially after demonstrating patience....so thumbs up and keep up the good work.

I’m only giving 4 stars because of Carol Ellis the placement coordinator. Carol is absolutely amazing and I give her 5 stars for her willingness to help and go above and beyond, she has amazing customer service skills and the other coordinators could really learn from her. On the other hand, Thornbury have a lot of revamping to do. One of my main concerns is coordinators are only contacting nurses they have good relationships with and giving them first choice of shifts, then what is left if any, are being put onto quick nurse. Very unfair.

Brilliant phone interaction with Mikida hence listened well to my shift choices and had patience with my enquiries on the shifts .Very polite and accommodating hence she is very Professional .

Great agency to work for, everyone I've had contact with has been so helpful. I've been in the industry 15 years and wish I would have worked with them sooner.

I booked my first shift today. I am glad at first that I have the option to choose which ward I am going to. I booked a shift in NHS Hospital Digestive Disease Unit since my background is in Gastro Medical Ward. However, when I arrived in Blackburn Train Station from York Station, I received a voicemail message saying that they changed my ward to a Respiratory Ward. I called the Duty Desk about the voicemail message I received, the person who answered the call confirmed that my ward assignment has been changed to C3 - Respiratory Ward. I explained to her that I do not wish to work to a respiratory Ward since my background is in gastro ward. I even told her that I can work other wards such as elderly but not in Respiratory Ward, in addition, I told her that if this is not possible, I would like to cancel the shift. She told me that she can cancel the shift because they already promised the client that a staff is going to the respiratory ward. Therefore, I told her just to cancel the shift. While I'm in the train going back to York, I checked the app and it shows that both wards (Digestive Disease Unit and Respiratory) in the Trust still need staff. I do not understand why they let me feel that I am not needed in Gastro ward where in fact they are still looking for a staff to cover the shift. Therefore, with this horrible experience that I have, I do not feel that I want to continue to be a Thornbury nurse.

A professional company with good regulations to support staffing. The management only needs to acquire more contracts to support the RMN shifts.

I took the day off.I received the call alright and immediately the lady decided she not going to continue with the interview because I don’t have an exclusive referral
, never knew it was a club and she doesn’t know why the interview was set up in the first place.
Wasted my time and effort.

Evan was very helpful and was patient while I checked my diary for available dates I can work.

Really good agency to work for, I was unable to book my shift through the app so gave the bookings team a call and spoke to Evan. Who was super friendly and helpful and got it all booked in for me quickly! :)

Evan was very helpful today, excellent customer service and met all of my needs. Extremely satisfied with my call with him

Working with the team from Cardiff Bristol especially, during covid and beyond culminated in over 5000 shifts in 3 years in so many varied areas of work.
Kerry and the team have always been awesome, and since returning back to general nursing where Carol has developed relationships within the NHS trusts that are great and a pleasure to work with.
Always there with support from everyone, I look FWD to it carrying on.
