Great letting agent, highly rate them. Vicky is amazing and her customer service is next level. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she always goes above and beyond.

Don’t bother with these, complain about everything and want to take your money over absolutely nothing. Stay away from this so called company

BEWARE DODGY FEES!

First, I'd like to say that every time I spoke to the staff doing either the inspections or the viewings, or dealing with repairs in the property, it was all friendly, polite, swift and professional. There are some genuinely great people working there.

We were always 'encouraged' to renew early to get a discount on the renewal fee. Didn't see any harm in it when we were happy with the place, but it did apply pressure and made me feel uncomfortable. Kinda like those adverts saying 'Flash sale! Don't miss out'.

Everything was fine until we decided not to renew the tenancy. As soon as we said we would roll on a periodic tenancy, it all went downhill. Simply put, The Letting People tried to charge us several hundred pounds worth of fees, all of which were not applicable to our tenancy.
The first time, they didn't seem aware that the June 2019 law regarding fees did apply to us, and we had a dispute about it. Even after presenting evidence from the Citizen Advice, TLP didn't want to back down and we had to write a formal complaint to get the fee removed (incidentally, it took us having to contact PRS to even get the complaint process as it wasn't displayed anywhere).
Another odd thing, was that despite telling them, in writing, we didn't want to renew, they insisted we paid a renewal fee. We kept telling them we didn't actually renew, and they stopped responding after a while.
We were getting close to checking out, and that would be the end of it.

Oh boy were we wrong about that.
After checking out, we asked about the deposit return process. We were advised in writing that TLP would not handle this and we would have to make the request through the Deposit Protection. No issues there.
Then, 15 days after our request (the legal delay for deposit claim being 14d), we received a dilapidation claim from TLP. Claims from the landlord aside, LTP were also trying to charge us in fees for the renewal, failing to pay for the renewal and for taking care of the dilapidation. We were not only upset, but straight out confused to see this, as we had demonstrated and clearly said before that we never did renew, and there was therefore no renewal fee applicable. The other fee was a complete surprised, as we had been advised several time that TLP would not be providing any service after checkout. And now they were trying to make us pay for something we didn't ask for?
It took us nearly 12 months to get through the dispute and get our deposit back. TLP made no effort to reach an agreement, and we had to speak directly with the landlord as the process was dragging on. All the while, the agent never attempted to negotiate on their part of the claim, and a second letter of complaint led nowhere. We also asked multiple times to be returned the amount of the deposit that was not in dispute, but TLP would completely ignore us on this point. No refusal, just straight out not replying to our messages about that.
With no other option, we turned to the DPS and requested to use their dispute resolution service. But that request was denied by the agent and/or landlord (the DPS account was in TLP's name, but we do not know who refused to use the service, so benefit of the doubt applies here).
This led to our account, and the process, being suspended for 6 months, during which the agent/landlord was to initiate court action to resolve the dispute. Time dragged on, and so did our anxiety. Was today the day we were going to received a court order? But it never came. So after 6 months, we contacted the DPS again. The agent/landlord was given an ultimate chance to use their resolution service, or us tenants would be given everything back. Naturally, they agreed this time.
So, after the adjuration process (another couple months of stress), we finally got a fair amount of our deposit back. The decision was made by the adjudicator not to award TLP on any of their claim, making it official that none of those fees could be legally charged to us.

Really upset that it took so much effort and time to expose their scam attempt.

Extremely high prices and very poor customer service. They are set up to charge very unreasonable charges. they will charge for any and everything. Any other letting agent is better than them

They are keen to get you in and take your money, but reluctant to give it back at the end.

Stayed in a property managed by them for 3 years, not a single issue raised during the numerous inspections, and the place was immaculate when leaving - probably better than when we arrived - but when it comes to leave they scrape the barrel to find any reason to levy charges against the deposit for things that you could easily resolve if they told you during the final inspection.

Shame really, they were good for most of the time, but when it really matters, they let themselves down with poor service.

Given the option, I would not go with them again. Sadly I cannot recommend them as a tenant.
