Equipment is dated and Half of equipment is out of use and creaking. Unhelpful stuck up rude staff and the gym is always warm My whole family has cancelled our memberships from The gym Kilmarnock and are now going to different gym. The prices are so high as well compared to other the gym group gyms. Avoid.

Joined the Gym a few months ago and was enjoying it so thought I’d make use of my corporate discount and signed up for a years membership - I followed the instructions to ensure my membership would be merged but to my surprise 3 weeks later I was charged for both. I immediately emailed (on the 1st of May) and no one got back to me until the 10th after chasing and chasing and it is now the 18th and I have only been given a partial refund. Customer service is an absolute joke! Not the best gym either but the closest to where I live, machines have seen better days.

This is a friendly gym. All staff are always on hand to help and give advice. Gym is clean and tidy with a great selection of equipment. Fab selection of classes on offer for all abilities. Been a member for 3 years.

Help me understand something, the club closed to as the say Re-fresh…

On opening there are machine out of order, the ceiling above the window at the treadmills has been burst for a year now, the windowsill upstairs is water damaged nd has been for months.

The floor outside the disabled shower is sinking.

The entrance is a mess and currently under construction.

Maybe try doing some repairs to the place

Found the gym very busy and difficult to get on to equipment which was good equipment. Found the staff in general very cliquey and only interested in their own particular clients/friends. The gym is out of town and for me requires two buses to get there. An alternative is in Glasgow - it is far quieter better and easier to get at for me. The staff there are far more friendly.

Great gym, fab staff

Good variety of equipment, well maintained and regularly cleaned. 24 hour access, so far I've had no issues apart from lazy gym users leaving weights and water bottles, paper towels behind them. Their fault not yours.

Have been using the Gym Group for a few years now and they have met my expectations. No frills and bog standard equipment available 24 hours. I have no issues other than the classes can be difficult to book on to. They generally fill up quick but it turns out a lot of people don’t turn up. May have a reserve list for the classes that you can join via the App?? Also, give the showers a bleach once a week please, there’s mould and timescale all over the place, its getting disgusting.

It's a great gym.but it has a gosip vib, if someone including staff haers something about you they will all talk about you and stear at you. They don't Evan need to no you or speak to you to come to there own conclusion. It's like walking into a playground.

Good value for money however poor correspondence when contacted club by email about complaint

Machines always broken no maintenance schedule
Had 3 machines having a sick day in Kilmarnock, must have been really sick
They were broke for 6 mths

I have been a member for a number of years, going back as far as when it was Fitness first. Back then it would definitely have been a score of Five, reason being the staff were so friendly and it had a real personal touch due to the way the Gym was set out. The minute you walked through the doors you were greeted by staff and you got to know the staff really well. I also used to be a cleaner and always built up great relationships with members easily, especially when we had the sauna and steam room. Anyway that was in the past and I appreciate things need to move on. I Don't feel as if staff take enough time to get to know members and other staff move away. I feel that the gym is lacking in getting machines repaired which can affect some training routines, especially if someone is training for a show. I would like to see some different machines coming in that would really benefit members training. I am aware we have a new manager but I haven't met her yet. I think it would be nice if she could go round the Gym and introduce herself, bringing that personal touch back. Please don't see this as complaining or criticism as I love my Gym and I get on great with everyone, including the staff, especially Martin who has been there the longest among the staff and he never misses saying hello to me. I like the 24Hour option as it suits my work and family life. I Don't like the music that gets played over the system because it seems to be repeated often, maybe there could be a mixture of genres, maybe a choice board could be an option. Finally, maybe the manager could organise a one to one with members. I spoke to a previous manager about the introduction of a Gym Chaplain as they are a real positive presence in the Gym and can be a real help to some people who just need somebody to talk to
about their feelings, especially because of the uncertainty we face in these times, also to be there for the staff and make themselves available to help out in anyway they can. The previous manager was all for this but COVID hit and then he left and other manager chatted about it with me but said he would need to run this by head management but then he gas left. Overall it is a great Gym with great people.

The Gym Group in Kilmarnock provides high quality classes. Led by highly-qualified staff who interact well with gym members.

Professional, friendly and spotlessly clean!

No complaints about the gym,and i understand that some people use their mobiles to keep tabs on what they do,but on a couple of occasions folk have been sitting on apparatus while texting,,,if you want to text please vacate the apparatus,,,,
