Gary Battison is an amazing trainer.
He leaves no stone unturned and has a very friendly helpful manner too.
I would recommend him to anyone wanting to train to become a driving instructor.

ATTENTION ALL PDI'S!!! If you are thinking of learning to become a driving instructor, do yourself a favour and do not go down the national school route. If you're in the Essex region, get yourself down to The Driving Instructor Training Academy and speak with Jim or Gary.
I'm with one of the national schools who failed at every opportunity to provide a decent service and consistently fell short of their extremely low standards bar when it came to training. I'm not going to say who they are (Bill Plant), but don't be tempted by their offers of cheap deals and PDI franchises. Hidden within the small print is an extremely binding contract, which once you pass, you will find it almost impossible to get out of. I'm assuming it's the same for all of the different schools.
For me, it wasn't about the fact they were cheaper than your local school. I went with them because members of my family passed with them. However, having now spoke to them again, it turns out they too felt that the training was poor and had to fork out twice as much for additional training with people who knew what they were on about.
A couple of lessons with Jim Miller who showed me my shortfalls, remedied them and filled me full of confidence for my third attempt at part 3. Passed!!
A massive massive thanks to all at DITA who couldn't do enough for me!

Gary is very informative, patient and celebrates when you do well. Also very easy to get along with which makes the whole training experience even better. I can’t thank him enough for all his help.

Absolutely fantastic training. I wouldn’t have qualified as a driving instructor if it wasn’t for system driving school. Director, Kevin has been a massive support in getting me sorted with my career after lack of support from another company. Ordit trainer Gary, made the whole qualifying process easier to understand and gave me confidence to qualify. I would recommend system driving school to anybody who is looking to become an instructor. These guys will get you sorted! I am happy to be part of the team.

The whole setup by System Driving school is 2nd to none!

From the office to the instructors they worked with me to iron out some lazy habits so I was ready for my ADI part 2 test and to be honest I enjoyed taking the test as I was well propered and in the right state of mind. Well done System now onto the next step

I have recently passed my ADI Part 2 test with the training and support given by Gary Battison at DITA. Gary keeps the training professional and fun which makes learning easier.
