I really loved this experience. Varsha and Chhaya were amazing hosts. It was great to be able to watch how the food is cooked and hopefully picked up some tips to try at home. The meal we had was absolutely delicious - I wish this could be my local!
I would definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely time as a family celebrating special events with Varsha and Chhaya in their homely kitchen. We learnt about how traditional indian food is made and recipes are handed down through the generations. They both made it look so easy, talking us through as they made us some delicious courses.
We were greeted with an array of homemade popadoms and delicious chutneys. We then had an extravagant feast of dumplings, onion bhaji and lamb meatball starter. Top notch! This was followed by lentil daal, chicken curry, rice and rotis. Professional service throughout with a relaxed atmosphere at the same time. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much!

This was a special event for my mother-in-law which was a present from the family and we all went with her. She was treated as a VIP and we were welcomed with such warmth, friendliness and drinks! we immediately felt at home. We were shown how to make the most delicious fish starter and samosas which were gorgeous. Our main course selection was a beautiful variety of vegan dishes prepared with quality ingredients, stories of home and a lot of love. There were chapatis and chutneys and so much food we couldn’t eat it all. It was a real treat to be learning how to cook great Indian food and at the same time feel pampered. Thank you so much.

We had an absolutely fantastic evening. Varsha and Chhaya made us feel completely at home. The food was all freshly cooked in front of us and was truly amazing. It was so interesting to hear all about where this style of cooking comes from. It was our son’s 21st experience as he loves cooking and he and his friends had a wonderful time. Varsha and Chhaya made such a huge effort to make everything perfect.
We would highly recommend this experience and will definitely be going again.
A great night out that feels like a cosy night in.

A fantastic time had by all. Chhaya and Varsha ably looked after seven of us, giving us an interesting and enjoyable insight into Indian cooking and tradition. Nothing was too much effort and the resulting food was fantastic. Seven different people with differing tastes and every one enjoyed everything.

Visited as part of a trip to London (from Scotland). Travel from Central London was straightforward even though we weren't familiar with the area.

One of our number had allergies (gluten and egg) and the ladies coped with this effortlessly. Interestingly these are not staples of Indian cooking and so we were pretty much all able to eat the same food which is quite unusual when eating out.

We will certainly go back in future and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys food and experiencing different cultures and traditions.

I have never done anything quite like this. The experience was educational and wholesome. It was the perfect way to spend our Saturday afternoon. My boyfriend and I left very full and very happy!! Varsha and Chhaya are the most phenomenal cooks, the food was absolutely delicious with everything completely home made! They shared their story and culture with us and I would definitely recommend! We will be looking to go back for more amazing food and great company.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a truly special lunch immersed in the flavours of authentic Indian home-cooked food. Chhaya and Varsha prepared everything from scratch, including the condiments. We had engaging conversations about spices, their uses, and Indian food culture. The experience was highly recommended, offering a delightful blend of flavours and an opportunity to appreciate the art of Indian cooking. We bought some of their home made condiments that we enjoyed, also some of their home blended fresh spices.

Had a wonderful afternoon with Chhaya and Varsha!! Incredible food, great conversation and amazing hosts.

Simple idea to watch food being cooked BUT to have the opportunity to eat it afterwards was a great experience!
Two lovely charismatic sisters who give a running commentary and answered all our questions.
The afternoon was memorable and we loved it from start to finish. The food was delicious. It is true Indian food that you won’t find in a restaurant.
The downside? Time went too quickly and I want to do it again! I can’t praise the Cardamom Pods highly enough

Amazing authentic experience. We had delicious food of all sorts with my girlfriend and her family. Better than any Indian restaurant, everything is made from scratch at home. We had chicken and lamb options but they cater to vegetarians as well. Alcohol was provided as well. Make sure you come hungry!

We loved our cooking class! The food was totally to die for and the hosts were so chatty and delightful, giving helpful tips and hints about Indian cooking and their culture along the way. I am recommending it to all my friends and family!

Varsha and Chhaya prepared and cooked an authentic Indian meal in front of us, and presented the courses to us as they were cooked. It was not only absolutely delicious, but amazingly skilled, as they produced lots of dishes over several courses, and made it look easy - which it can’t have been. Plenty of anecdotes accompanied the meal, along with Prosecco or soft drinks, plus then opportunity to buy the chutneys and spices to take home. Impressive stuff, a great experience, and a wonderful gift idea for someone who appreciates good food and cookery. We combined it with staying at Varsha’s immaculate Airbnb, which worked well too.

Part of my birthday present, my daughter and I had an afternoon at Cardamom Pods. And what fun it was. Neither of us knew quite what expect, but what we got was a couple of hours of good solid Indian cooking, interspersed with some great banter.
We have always loved Indian food and given Gemma and I are the cooks in our respective families, this was a great opportunity. And we loved it. Cannot recommend it highly enough for those who would like to learn a little more about true Indian cuisine.
Our respective spouses were so impressed by the food we bought home, that they want to join in the next one. And there will be a next one.

Having originally planned to enjoy the Cardamom Pods experience pre-covid, we finally made it and it was well worth the wait. Chhaya and Varsha are the perfect hosts. They made us feel extremely welcome and the conversation flowed throughout. The highlight, of course, was the amazing food. Prepared and cooked in front of our eyes, it was a treat for the senses - the sounds, the smells and the tastes were incredible. We left happy, full and inspired to try and replicate the wonderful cooking at home. Thank you Chhaya and Varsha for a fantastic few hours - we’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing time with Chhaya and Varsha. They welcomed us into their home and basically gave us a private cooking demonstration and many different and delicious Indian dishes, telling us their traditional methods and recipes. All the food was amazing, but the warm environment and laughs and conversation was what really made the experience special. I’m already looking for excuses to return and try some of their other menus!

what an amazing and unique experience, a true sense of Indian food and culture is on show. This is something I have never done before and I cant wait to come back, well worth it. The food is authentic and you can see the passion for cooking. It is made even more special when you hear the stories behind each dish and how it has been passed down generations.

Highly highly recommend this amazing dining experience, fantastic food and great atmosphere this place is a must go
