The Butcher of Brogdale Arvostelua 

Putrid smelling beef fillets. Will never shop with them again as this is the second time I've bought beef fillet from them that smelled really bad when removing from packaging. I thought the first time was a one off and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but the second time, exactly the same, stank to high heaven. Fell for sales talk to buy two as well with the second purchase. £100 down the drain. Just taken the second one out of my freezer, exactly the same, it is off and gone in the bin.

Bit of a disaster. One of the deals was incorrect and I was over charged. I was told correct item would be delivered the following morning so stayed at home especially but no delivery. I rang and was promised it would be there by 2 so stayed in again and eventually arrived at 3. Wasted a lot of valuable time simply because no one to pick up the phone and keep me posted on what was going on. Not happy

First delivery didn’t arrive on agreed date, no tracking no communication- no phone number to help, waited three days for response to my second email.
They asked me to wait for two weeks time which I did, again no tracking and no actual delivery. They did manage to send me a survey for the non existent delivery!

Now after waiting again and sending two emails they suggested may send after Easter!
Sorry too late, they don’t seem set up as a delivery company so I would avoid

Overall the products and prices are good and the delivery chaps always polite.
Unfortunately we often judge a company on how they work when something isn’t right and these guys are terrible. They do not answer emails, online chats or phones in the meanwhile I have some very ‘off’ pork to deal with .

Finally got a response from their Canterbury shop who doesn’t deal with online orders at all but sorted it out for me. Great work from him but shame about the online team .
As an update to this I was promised a refund for the product …. And guess what? Yep they have not refunded at all so I now need to chase up again.
So to be clear … I have used BoB for many years but they clearly care very little for their customers so this will be the last time .

Update: they finally contacted to apologise for lack of communication and to reassure that a refund would be made …. That was two weeks ago and surprise surprise no refund .

Bought some sirloin steak, ribeye and chicken packs. First time purchasing from brogdales. Chicken and sirloin ok but the ribeye had a peculiar and highly unpleasant taste. Both my wife and I couldn't eat them because of this taste. Had a few ribeyes (good and bad) in my time but never tasted like this. Think first time I left one after one piece. Sadly will not use brogdales again.
