The Gothic Shop Arvostelua 

Was really excited to buy a dress and two pairs of tights from The Gothic Shop, but the dress is 3 times too small and the tights are too short.

Turns out the dress is made in china (Punk Rave brand) which isn't stated anywhere on the product page. To be fair there are sizing measurements but the size numbers are wildly different to UK sizing, and after shopping around for the perfect dress I can't keep going through all the measurements so I tend to go by the actual size stated; assuming it was in UK sizing as it is from a UK site. I would prefer it if they had done away with the size numbers all together or stated clearly that it was not UK sizes. I was very dissapointed as sizing is half of the reason I chose NOT to go for other items on other (cheaper) sites which were made in China.

The tights are nice (from Pamela Mann brand) but as stated on the reverse of the packaging, it's only recommended for people under size 20 and up to 5'7. I'm 5'10 so they come up short. Again, this isn't stated anywhere on the product page, it only mentions the size numbers and measurements for bust, waist and hips which are mostly irrelevant. I also apparently can't even return them as they've been opened so I could try them on.

Lastly, it appears that I cannot write a review of the items as I did not create an account when placing my order. This is a shame as I am sure more people would want to know about these sizing issues prior to purchasing.

I have started the returns process for the dress so hopefully see my refund for that soon.

Update: upon packing up the tights after trying them on (as I cannot wear them), I also noticed what appears to be grease stains on the cardboard insert. Looks like the lid from an Indian takeaway.

I'd shop there again if customs duty wasn't so expensive. I live in Germany :(
I got a free sticker with the order and even bonbons (I'm glad that made no problems at the border).
The clothes are amazing, I wanted two specific pieces of clothing that no other store had in stock.
I also got patches that seem well-made, I'll probably put my witch on the herbal embroidery backpack I'm getting soon from another brand, and I want to give the dragon to a friend.
The sticker designs are just as beautiful.
I can only speak positively over the brand's own designs so far.
