Hotel Review – 7‑Night Stay

Rating: 10/10 but experience feels better than

I recently stayed at this 3‑star hotel for seven nights, and despite seeing many negative reviews online before arriving, my experience has been pleasantly surprising. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well‑maintained. My room was spotless on arrival, the bed was comfortable, and housekeeping kept everything tidy throughout my stay.

The biggest highlight has been the staff. They are genuinely brilliant — friendly, polite, and always willing to go out of their way to help with anything. Whether it’s a small request or general assistance, they do everything in their power to make guests feel welcome and supported.

For a 3‑star hotel, it delivers exactly what you need: a clean room, a comfortable bed, and a team of staff who truly care. My stay has been far better than expected, and I’m glad I trusted my own experience rather than the negative reviews online.

Below average experience with above average costs. Whilst not awful, it certainly did not live up to the advertised claim ,simple ethos lies at the heart of everything we do – to offer the warmest of welcomes, give the utmost personal attention and exemplary service to each and every one of our guests.’

When checking out, no interest in how our stay was (question was not even asked).

Cosy room means very small double bed and no air con. Not great in current heatwave (and needing to close bathroom door so heated radiator would not add to room temperature), which meant windows open and woken up very early 05:30/ 06:30 for bin collection, with the addition of the nearby pedestrian crossing beeping.

Breakfast: not a great selection (no real continental option, so my wife bought additional items for the following day).

Cost: informed at check in that £50 fee charged to my credit card in case I used any additional services- not experienced this before and would like to think we are viewed as being honest and will our bill at check out. Also had to pay additional £10’ish per day for parking at the hotel. All gives a negative / grasping impression.

In summary, went for a 3-night break with high expectations and opportunity to rest (first and possibly only holiday this year). Left feeling wrecked due to poor quality sleep, indifferent breakfast, and bickering with the missus as both of us tired.
