I have paid for Sync for over 2 years now and the service does not work reliably.

The desktop client is incredibly slow as they have packaged a single threaded windows executable as a MacOS app. Cloud files has been in beta for years, the vault storage randomly moves my files into deletion.

They removed all mention of end-to-end encryption from the site and did this without any notice or offer of refund.

The reason they incentivize annual billing is because they do not have good customer retention.

Sync worked nicely until it simply stopped syncing files. Email support is slow and has been unable to solve the problem.

Do not use this service. They are scammers. I had an account for several years, uploading over 500 GB of personal data. When I came to not renewing and using another service, I was unable to use the automated service to download the data. I then tried it manually over several months using so-called ‘advice’ from the Support team. It all came to nothing because I wasn’t allowed to download the data. They obviously do this so they can keep you in the ecosystem locked in, forcing Subscribers to renew which I did for two years

The worst kind of scammers.

Over a month ago now I bought some software from Eltima. It didn't work and it never has, every time I try using it I get error messages. The day after purchasing I contacted them asking for a refund because the software didn't work, they have a 14 day "honor based" guarantee after all. The first thing they did was tell me they had solved my problem with my licence key by resetting it. They've done this a lot over the past month and a half - where they don't actually read what you write.

I decided to just leave a negative review warning people against every purchasing anything from Eltima after their last response. I've sent them error reports twice, and even provided a video showing the error happening. Their response to this was to just send yet another video showing the same thing, and blaming my anti-malware solution for the problem. They claim it's firewall and VPN might interfere. Of course the program doesn't have either of those as I've explained to them but they won't listen. In fact I think they've asked me four (!) times if I'm using a VPN at this point.

Aside from that the single piece of troubleshooting advice they've been able to provide over 6 weeks or so of time is to try logging out and in again. Twice, even as I'm telling them their program doesn't work, they've actually emailed me saying: "We have checked the reported case from our side and may assure you, that all the media can be downloaded without any issues." Gasslighting by customer support?

I guess I've given up at this point. They will not help fix the problem, only try to provide excuses why their program not working cannot be their fault. I think they're just lying when they claim to have a refund policy, their never giving you your money back. They also won't help you if there's a problem.

Do not ever buy anything from this company - if you have a problem they will not help you. They will not refund you. Look literally anywhere else.

I downloaded the airy program does not work they refused to provide a refund even after admitting the software did not work, the entire platform is a scam please be aware of this company and don't spend your money!

Purchased the pro version, the player wouldn't stream when it's clearly supposed to stream via airplay and DLNA devices, asked for a refund, and got denied because they only make refunds when the product is buggy.

I had my son purchase some software from this company and I asked for a refund, they just refused even if I was within my 14-day refund time, I suggest you try other companies, as this company, just don't think customer first

The software is easy to install and does exactly what it is supposed to: provide COM ports. No compatibility problems whatsover under Win 7 or Win 10 or in various application programs (SDR radio etc.)

As a first-time Customer of Eltima, we wered inspired to purchase their 'Eltima Player' Software due to their impressive 14-Day Honor-Based Money-Back Guarantee.

Quoting from their Website: "Honor-based means we will be glad to return your investment providing that: we are sure the product is malfunctioning (i.e. doesn’t function according to the features declared at the product’s homepage or other official product documents) on the client’s computer/mobile device; we receive assistance in finding out the details of the problem on the side of the customer; we fail to address the deficiency within a reasonable amount of time.

The same day of purchase we notified their Support team that the software was not functioning as represented. They requested a number of items (e.g. screenshots, etc.) which we promptly provided. They responded the next day with more things for us to do on our end to potentially fix the issue, which did not work – suggesting that this issue would be fixed in their next Release. We advised them that since their softward was malfunctioning, we wished to proceed with a full refund under their Honor Based Refund Policy. They refused suggesting that their software was fine, but that "The downloading function does not work because of the problem, on the YouTube side." completely casting aside the fact that is their job to update their software to resolve YouTube download issues". Bottom line: Don't be swayed by their Guarantee, as it is simply worthless.

I've been searching for a software to monitor serial ports and to troubleshoot them.

I found many tools for that but eltima's one has it all:

You can monitor everything that passes through serial ports even if they are already opened by another application or process.
And that's really useful if you don't know anything about a new device.
You can retrieve ports setting (BaudRate, Databits, parity,...) and also have logs of what transits between devices in different formats
That can save you valuable time and efforts.

Also you can check if connectors are correctly wired (DTR-DSR), (RTS-CTS), DCD. Sometimes serial malfunctioning comes from connectors not correctly wired or a detached pin

This software is really versatile and robust. I highly recommend it.

Commander One Pro - the free version, Commander One is useless - is a well designed programme that simply works. I like it, as it makes it possible for me to upload files from my Mac to various storage clouds without any problems. However, I had to wait for twn days to get the Activation Code for Commander One Pro. Communicating with the developer, Eltima, is haphasard to say the least. Anyway, I finally have the Pro version working and this is OK. Yet please be ready to be disappointed in Eltima's customer service.

The paid version of their download manager is missing many features which you would take for granted in a modern application. Company refuses to process refund even though I have illustrated shortcomings.

Paid for their software "Airy" and received no activation code, no license key. When I requested them I had 2 support tickets in asking why I had not been supplied with these as I had a useless piece of software I could not use. They have ignored me to date. I then opened a payal dispute with Cleverbridge who were the people who took my money and issued me with an invoice for the services I still dont have, and they tried to brush me off saying they do not supply refunds, Eltima does. Why did you take my money and issue me with an invoice then ??
Shockingly bad non existent customer service. Now I have no choice but to wait for the paypal dispute to run its course and get my money back through them. Disgusting.

I wanted to connect a Digital Multi-meter fitted with an RS232C socket to a Raspberry Pi computer via a USB to Serial adapter (Prolific chip set) as part of a project to test the capacity of the batteries I use in my glider. This testing is an annual requirement. My problem was that I did not have documentation on the characteristics of the serial port on the multi-meter either in terms of the serial port setup or the protocol. I do have an old PC application ‘Dmmview’ that can read from the meter.
I installed the evaluation copy of Eltima’s Serial Port Monitor on Windows 10 very easily and was able to trace the activity on the serial port the first time I attempted to do so.
The trace gave me the basic information I needed to start to write the Raspberry Pi application in Python using the Python Serial module ‘pyserial’ 3.4. I now knew the port’s baudrate, parity, stopbits and bytesize (all non-standard). I also knew the data I had to send to elicit a response and the data that is returned by the meter.
However, it did not work!
I went back to the trace and found that the protocol also set DTR and disabled RTS. I added these calls to the program and lo and behold – I was able to read the required values from the meter. The Raspberry Pi application (that also involved interfacing to some relays) is now up and running
I could not have achieved this without using Eltima’s Serial Port Monitor.
