60-Day notice period which is quite unheard of with a subscription at least for me. Especially when it is just a software running on my own Hardware.

While SwipedOn offers a mediocre visitor management service that functions well enough on a basic level, their highly restrictive terms of service, forced data retention policies, and underwhelming support make them a provider to avoid at all costs.

​1. The Annual Auto-Renewal Trap (The 60-Day Gotcha)
​SwipedOn's biggest pitfall is hidden deep within their Terms and Conditions. If you decide to cancel or downgrade your annual subscription, you must do so at least 60 days before your contract renewal date.

​If you miss this window—even by a single day—they will automatically renew your subscription and lock you into paying for an entire extra year. This is a predatory tactic designed to hold departing businesses hostage and squeeze massive annual fees out of customers who no longer want the service, rather than retaining them through quality and goodwill.

​2. Forced Card Retention
​Upon signing up, SwipedOn leaves you with absolutely no choice but to let them save your credit card details on file. There is zero flexibility to pay via alternative invoice methods on standard plans or remove your payment details once registered. Knowing your financial data is permanently stored on their system while you are trying to navigate a high-stakes, 60-day cancellation deadline is highly frustrating.

​3. "Smarmy" and Unapologetic Support
​When you reach out to their customer support team to discuss these restrictive renewal terms, don't expect empathy or a helpful solution. The customer service experience is consistently smarmy, dismissive, and entirely unapologetic about their hostile contract terms. Rather than working with you to find a reasonable middle ground, they hide behind their rigid rulebook with an attitude of "you signed it, not our problem."

There is absolutely no reason to settle for a company that treats its customers like hostage cash-cows. Avoid SwipedOn at all costs.

Doesn’t work consistently which renders it entirely useless for our purposes. Have refused all requests for a refund. Avoid unless you like throwing money away.

Been a good, although expensive service over the past 6 years, but no longer need it so tried to cancel only to find out that the terms of service changed last year during our contract period. They now require 60 days written notice to cancel (was previously nothing, like most other service providers who respect their clients). We now have to pay for another year and get nothing in return. Total rip off!!!! Avoid at all cost.

Great product and great service. Helped us out when we changed our business too - fair and reasonable on all fronts.

Avoid. Asked to cancel renewal. Automatically renewed following year. Extremely expensive. Asked for refund and refused even though I haven’t been using it for a whole year and asked before to cancel renewal. Using Sign in App now, much cheaper and so much more features.

I manage a school for vulnerable students and I’m happy with simplicity and reliability of the swipedon interface. The students enjoy clocking themselves in and out each day. I love the welcoming images and visitor tracking facilities. The WiFi label printer, software and iPad all work seamlessly together, straight out the box. I would appreciate being able to change the labels on the home screen, and would love to have a more graphical friendly attendance tracking facility to make my staff reporting tasks more accessible, and easier on the eye. Great product and service, thank you team!

SwipedOn is GREAT! We are in a shared co-working space and using the SwipedOn system saves us the need for a receptionist, massive help! Getting both email and text notifications when a visitor arrives is ideal. Love that it is able to be customized. The SwipedOn team provides quality service and informative videos.
