STV Player Arvostelua 

1 hour and 35 minutes to watch a 41 minute programme, do I need to say more? Remember when STV first started and it's owner Lord Thomson said that winning the bid for the broadcasting rites was a ''license to print money'' pity the present owners didn't spend any on this pile of rubbish!

Really dreadful, impossible to watch a series , constantly failing

Shocking. Paid for ad free and there were two in the first 12 minutes. Cancelled immediately.

Absolute crap, get rid, wouldn’t give it house room, ad after bloody ad, who’s interested in ads for god sake, NO ONE, it’s an embarrassment to Scottish television.

Absolutely shocking. So slow, constantly buffers, and makes you rewatch adverts once it's kicked you out of the show you're unsuccessfully trying to watch because the player is so terrible.

Sadly a one star review. It doesn't matter what device I use, constantly buffering and having to reload. Not a new problem or a difficult fix

I only watched 50% of a program as it was 2 hours long, when I went back to it next day to RESUME where I stopped it, it made me start from the beginning and I couldn't fast forward through the four sets of adverts I seen the night before.

App just closes itself down when I try to play a programme.

Rubbish! Constantly buffers & freezes making it almost unwatchable. This has been happening for years. Sort it out STV!

Terrible service, gave it 1 star as I can't give it zero which it deserves. Continuously freezes & can't even exit from it, I have to unplug TV completely for 10 mins. Looks like the same problem for many viewers but STV seem to be doing nothing to improve it, a disgrace. I'll be avoiding it from now on even if I do miss programmes, it's not worth the hassle & frustration.

Awful, I've never seen so many adverts, I think they last longer than the programme! It won't make me eat a Mcdonald's no matter how many times they show it! It also lags, really irritating.

As per previous comments, we are unable to watch current soaps (Corrie, Emmerdale etc on the player - just a blank screen with a circle in the middle. We eventually got round this by starting watch it on the STV App ON OUR PHONE, then casting it onto the TV! Works but why we can't just watch it directly from the app on the TV screen?

Insane amount of adverts that can't be avoided.
Unintuitive menu and unreliable streaming.
Above all, for something that claims to be the home of sport (got to laugh at that) there is pretty much zero scottish sport. Although,
STV is the place to go if you want to see the lionesses live.

Why do we need to show English women football ,and cancel other programmes.It is Scottish TV., not English TV , please reply .

Can you give 0 stars ? Because that’s what I’d give if I could. Terrible alway freezing then returns back to the beginning after the adverts if it works at all !
The absolute worst !

Using the STV App on my Sky Stream puck today. I don’t use the STV Player very often because I know it to be incredible slow, clunky and full of bugs. Like All4 if it had just had its head kicked in.

Not anymore. It’s the fastest app on any streaming device I have ever seen. Pretty much instant. Well done. How strange!

It really is shameful that STV player publicises an app that does not function. Full stop. Why do advertisers pay them during the Euros when I and thousands of other “viewers” are unable to watch a match?!! It must be the worst streaming service out there. It’s nothing to do with bandwidth. BBC iPlayer, My4 and 5 work perfectly. Why is this not being addressed by STV management and their developers? A question for them to answer but they don’t appear to give a monkeys as it’s been like that for ages. Time to delete the app and watch Wimbledon on BBC iPlayer.

It has to be a con right, I mean nothing can be this bad surely, I was at a pals house trying to watch the football and it simply would not allow us, very poor indeed, and I see there is a "PAID" option..why it does not work

Abysmal. The worst streaming platform anywhere on the Internet. Riddled with constant ads. How can STV management allow this to go on? Do they have a Web and IT department? Appalling.
