This is a firm that is to be avoided. There is little or no feedback from the person handling the case unless you ring them and do the work for them.
For the price you have to pay them you’d be far better off finding an independent conveyancer instead of this firm that the estate agents get a back hander from.

We had an excellent service through Enact. Latoya was amazing and very down to earth, sorting our issues as soon as they arose. The speed of replies and way she handled the case was second to none. We would without question recommend Enact.

We have experienced extremely long delays and very poor communication throughout this process. We have been waiting since 6 October to complete on our house, with little to no meaningful progress. We were told that the case had been escalated to a senior case worker, but nothing changed and no improvements were made. Updates were minimal and often required chasing, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

After a bit of a slow start Joshua took over our case and handled it very well. We were kept informed of progress and all issues handled in a timely manner. We would recommend using Josh for conveyancing.

Amber my case handler was a consummate professional who remained patient and diligent throughout the process. We were dealing with a first time buyer who was clearly inexperienced and when it got frustrating, Amber remained calm and explained all the facts in a very clear manner.

I used Stonebowlaw to sell my property twice, in 2023 and 2025 respectively. Both of my experience with this company were pleasant indeed. First one did not reach the sale due to the reason from the buyer, Stonebowlaw did not charge me for the work they had already done and they even refunded me £39 of prepay. That was the reason why I chose them again in 2025, which was a successful sale. In the whole progress, the member of staff Courtney always responded my emails very promptly and always gave good and clear updates/advice, etc. And what's more, their final invoice matched the original quotation perfectly (actually even a few pounds lower) with no any hidden or added costs. This is particularly great if you see nowadays MANY legal companies would make overcharges of some kinds.

We used this company in our recent sale. It should have been the simplest of exchanges but didn’t prove to be but Amber our conveyancer hung in there with us and supported us through what became a very tricky time in our lives and kept calm and patient and supportive. Thank you Amber.

Some commonalities with other reviews, but overall a straightforward experience with the firm. The platform isn't the best since only one person can access it. We got the sale completed so that's the main thing!

I would highly recommend stonebow law, they dealt with our sale and purchase of our house, was very helpful, friendly and always available by phone, we had Courtney and she was professional and efficient, thank you stonebow for all your hard work.

Recommended by Pygott and Crone so followed the recommendation. Not great service but they completed the sale for us. The online platform was a little clunky to use. What was frustrating was 2 of us were selling jointly yet only 1 could access the platform. We gad to ask for everything to be emailed so we could both be kept informed. This only added a further level of inefficiency as not all emails were sent as promised. Stonebow muddled us up so we are still getting emails addressed to the wrong person (including the request to review!) The messaging option wasn't as prompt as we'd have liked but at the end of the day, the house was sold so job done.

Recommended by Pygott and Crone. Two apartments sold to first time buyers in March. Still no where near completion. Already lost one buyer, found another but concerned both sales will fall through due to lack of urgency from this firm of solicitors. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. Absolutely dreadful soliciting firm. Recommended by Pygott & Crone Lincoln for their "speedy" service, this couldn't be further from the truth.

The conveyancing for the sale of my property took over 25 weeks (empty property / no chain to a first time buyer). Information and updates had to be requested. Repeatedly asked to send documents already in their possession. Impossible to reach via telephone.
