Stay Zeni Arvostelua 

Stay away. Room felt like prison. Ignorant customer service. Very poor hygiene levels. I paid for 1 month upfront and left within 15 mins with no refund aswell

I stayed at a 5 bedroom apartment with private kitchen and living room. We enjoyed our stay there. Excellent location to shopping area. Staff are helpful and friendly. Convenient to collect delivery packages.

Whole floor was unbearably hot and humid and the room had a stench as if food had gone off and was not cleaned properly. Did not stay at all and Zeni refused to give a full refund even though I asked them to cancel the booking.

HORRIBLE STAY AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE CHEAP COST!!

The price is cheap but the room was just not cleaned properly. There was hair everywhere in the room, including the bathroom and the bed. Personally, this is not an issue for me. I just picked up the hair and placed it in the trash, but just thought I'd mention it.
The real issue began when I got a message from the NHS asking to self-isolate because I've apparently been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. I got this isolation notification/message AFTER I checked in to the Air BnB.
I was staying in my room the entire time and the only time I stepped outside was the collect my PCR self testing kit and to inform the receptionist of me isolating. She immediately told me she would have to let the host (Stay-Zeni) know of this. Fair Enough.
A few minutes later, I got a call from the Sheffield Manager of Stay-Zeni asking me to leave right now because I am not allowed to isolate at the property. I am an international student here in the UK and have no family here and no place to stay. My new student accommodation contract would only start once my air BnB stay ended.
I explained the entire situation of me having no place to go to, how I only got the isolation message once I checked in to the BnB, how it is my legal duty to stay at the place where I got pinged by the NHS, etc. to the manager, his superiors and even to some of the directors of Stay-Zeni but they were all stubborn on kicking me out that very instant. I explained to them how I would have to live on the streets basically because hotels would be really expensive for a last minute booking and their replies were "That's not our problem, you have to leave right now". They did not seem to care or consider the fact that I would be moving around the city, using public transport, looking for a place to stay possibly infecting other people with COVID-19 in the process. Let's not forget it's my legal duty as well to stay in the accommodation. Moreover, the flat I was staying in was completely empty. The hosts were only concerned about making money, rather than the general health of people.
I argued with several managers and directors but none of them seemed to care and just wanted me kicked out.

It just gets worse from here. One of the managers (not naming anyone) agreed to refund me the full amount for the nights I've not stayed. I agreed to leave on this condition because I was tired of arguing with them.
I left the BnB and after some time I found myself a hotel. It was expensive, but I had no choice. After a while, I get a call from Stay-Zeni saying that they won't offer me a full refund but less than 50%. This happened after one of them promised me a full refund. Again, I tried arguing but they were just making false promises at this point.
I told them I'd be consulting with air BnB to get myself a full refund instead of their reduced refund. At this point, Stay-Zeni offered me a slightly higher refund stating that going through air BnB doesn't guarantee a full refund but if you accept this refund amount right now, they will transfer the amount to my account in a days time.
Just to clarify, the full refund would be around 90 GBP, but Stay-Zeni were offering me 39 GBP now instead of the 26 GBP they were offering me initially. At this point, I asked them to give me a few minutes to consult with air BnB to see if I can get myself a full refund through them. This is when one of them said "no, you have to accept it right now or the offers not available. I can't deal with air BnBs slow processing times, so you have to accept it now". They were pressurising me to accept their offer (which was nowhere near the full refund amount).
I accepted the offer because I had no choice and send a complaint to air BnB explaining the entire situation. They were understanding and offered me a full refund.

I booked an apartment in Oxford for my son through booking.com over a week ago, after which Zeni sent me an email booking confirmation which included the wording " please let me know if you have any questions". Having several questions, I replied to this email, but despite a follow-up email and a phone call to their head office (the number for which was the only one readily available from their website, and which is apparently for a different company), I still have not had a reply.

Note that this a review of Zeni's customer service - which is deplorable - and not of their accommodation.
