Why would I need this and pay to do so when all you have to do is save half early when you move in and you can save half every following and pay your rent in full at the beginning. It's no different and you don't pay a subscription lmao

Split pay is a scam be aware they take all your personal information such as your bank account information your lease agreement tha has all your personal info on it then to tell you that your payment will be late and that you have to take that up with your landlord and then decline you at the end. They have the worst customer service people ever they don’t even speak English and give you the run around

Tl;dr DO NOT ACCEPT Split Pay

A new tenant request that we accept payment via Rent.App to help with timely payments. After kicking the tires we decided to take it on a test run.

March 2026, the first month, payment was late by 9 days. There was an issue with their payment system and they sent an email to all tenants saying they would cover all late fees. Since the payment was well past the grace period, I asked if I should sent the late fee invoice to them or the tenant. They said to send it to them so I thought the issue would be handled.

They then tried to say they would only pay 22% of the late fee. Now April we’re at the end of the grace period any payment still has not been received.

They’re in a commoditized space, their entire business model is to make timely payments and make money off the float. Their greed and unwillingness to be accountable for their errors will just be a burden to landlords.

If I could give zero start I would. We tried them and the rent did not get to our landlord till the 10th!! We got a $300 dollar late fee on top of split pay’s fees, and an angry landlord. Every time I try contacting split pay it is like starting over trying to get help and answers. Still trying to get them to pay us for the late fee but I’m not holding my breath.

Do NOT use them.

I was told by app team this would allow us to split payment to landlord and build or credit., I have had the worst experience with Split pay they took full rent $2.300 payment on 4 of march my landlord still has not been paid , they keep blaming ACH policies and saying 3-5 business days and the stated bank outage. After speaking to team for several days being advised payment would be submitted to landlord on march 11. now payment i stating returned no valid reason so my payment will be returned 5 to 6 business days but still contacted the bank and they stated funds were posted on march 4 to split pay and processed and no pending return. Split pay team customer service is giving me run around with several excuses' asked me to send them screenshot of posted payment and after sending still no resolve 'do not do it

If I could leave a zero I would I just paid all the money I had for them to deny me after I spent all my bill money to make sure it was paid. The customer service is evil they hang up on you and treat you as if you are beneath them. I was hung up on twice after paying them 1858

Horrible once again a company they supposed to help People and of the course the less fortune don’t get invited, of course credit was reviewed it’s a shame how companies out here is still doing this it’s crazy but A, won’t be the first company I got shut down or fined do this and won’t be the last.

Split pay helps bills become more manageable. Make your due date and prevent the late fees.
