Don’t even think about it! I Paid them to repair a gutter they installed which still leaks. Smiths want me to pay them again to fix the leak they didn’t fix! They are very rude and said they don’t care about my review so here goes. I will have to get someone else to fix it properly. Go elsewhere if you want decent people to do your job. I want nothing more to do with them. If you hire them I wish you Good luck but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Brilliant, Main man Gary sorted date for the installation. Installation engineer turned up at 7:30am ready to start. He installed our front door with no making good from me, cleaned up any mess made. Real genuinely friendly guy who knew his trade. My wife was happy which is really hard to achieve, so thank you.

I felt that I had to write this review following the terrible and awful experience that I had with Smith Glass Ltd last year. This is the most unprofessional company that I have ever dealt with which started with a pushy salesperson who put me under pressure to sign the contract right up to the end where the work was left incomplete and none of my emails were responded to.

In a nutshell, I have had to engage with another contractor to complete the work as the electrical work was left half done, the plastering only partially done and what was done was not to a great standard, the ceiling was left undone etc. Before I signed the contract, the salesperson agreed to whatever work I requested as part of the service which they later denied and I was expected to hire other professionals to complete the work which obviously increased the cost on top of an already expensive quote. I had to constantly chase for updates until when the company stopped responding altogether. Some of the tradesmen who came on site were not aware what to do and I had to explain it to them.

I would not recommend this company and would advise anyone engaging with them to read the fine print carefully and make sure you get everything agreed in writing to avoid all the hassle that I had to go through.

We have used Smiths over the past 10 years for new windows, front door and soffits and fascias. They recently fitted a new back door and some french doors. Really pleased with the work carried out by Scott. We love our new doors ! From the Sales Rep to the surveyor and Scott the fitter we have nothing but praise for this company. Thank you.

The work required was to replace panes which had failed after many years. The work was done quickly and efficiently and a follow up contact was timely

The workmen were ready for all eventualities, they worked quickly and neatly and kindly made some electrical improvements along the way. I have had my new windows etc. for a few months, now, and my house is warmer and smarter.

We had an issue with water coming through our bifold doors following a heavy rainstorm. Contacted Service Dept who asked us to complete form on the website. Had difficulty uploading video footage so called again and a helpful member of staff arranged for us to send direct by email.

Later that morning received a call back from Gary who booked us in for the earliest visit available apologising that it wasn’t the next day.

Laurence arrived and once we showed him what had happened he had diagnosed the problem straight away. What a nice guy! Showed us what was wrong and how it was going to be remedied. We had Laurence call at the end of the installation sorting out those odd snagging problems. He is always courteous and involves us in what the problem is and how he can remedy it. He is always clean and tidy polite and approachable and whilst I hope that he doesn’t have to visit us again I would be very pleased that Smiths sent their best troubleshooter.
