SRC Rent Car Arvostelua 

I highly advise not to use this company, which is highly incompetent and dishonest. We were supposed to rent a car in Catania airport to go to Milazzo. First of all, there was nobody at the counter and we waited for 10 minutes. Then, they could not charge a deposit due to some IT issue on their side. Taking a deposit is obvisoulsy a prerequisite in their procedure. My bank confirmed it approved the transaction. But, according to them, there was a generalized Visa problem….. Which dis not seem to affect car renters around us.
We spent one hour there trying to fix the issue. And, we dediced to finally take a bus. We were supposed to get the refund of the charge for the car rental which we booked on line. Of course, we did not get anything…

We rented a Opel Mocca for a week in Sicily and we booked the car with full coverage/insurrance. The car was great, as good as new (10.000 Milage) but when we returned the car SRC still managed to invoice additional expenses. Companies like this have the intention to pull money from your pocket and are not build around Customer Experience. This was my last experience with SRC

Très, très mauvaise expérience où nous avons été accusés à tord puis après plusieurs jours de bataille avons été remboursés.
Prise en main très bien, personnel professionnel, mais malhonnête.
Au retour, par contre bizarrement le personnel n’était pas disponible et me dit de laisser la clef dans la boîte de retour, donc pas d’état des lieux de sortie.
Quelques heures plus tard à ma grand surprise nous recevons une facture de 300 euros pour des rayures que nous n’avons pas fait.
Mon erreur était de ne pas avoir pris de photos au départ comme l’agent en avait pris, leur faisant confiance.
Ils m’ont accusé d’avoir fait 2 mini griffures, mais sur une photo prise 1 heure après le début de la location on voit clairement quelles étaient présentes.
Pendant plusieurs jours j’ai contesté, eu affaire au service client qui est digne d’un pays du tier monde, malhonnête.
L’entreprise a toujours refusé de fournir les photos prises par l’agent au départ - car ils savaient que cela provoquait que nous n’étions pas responsables.
Après des jours, et les ayant menacé de procès et de publier mon histoire sur les réseaux ils ont finalement avoué que les rayures étaient déjà présentes. Et m’ont remboursé.
Très très mauvaise expérience d’être accusé à tord.
Nous vous recommandons une autre entreprise et de prendre des photos au départ.

We booked a SEAT Arona, but upon arrival we were upgraded to a CUPRA Formentor free of charge, what a nice surprise! The staff offered us cleaning service and full gas upfront at a price cheaper than the gas station. The car had almost no kilometers on it and was in pristine condition.

Drop-off went just as smoothly. The lady asked if we wanted to accompany the inspection, and we did. She performed a thorough check and confirmed everything was fine, no issues found.

Honestly, I’m surprised by the poor reviews on here. My advice: get the insurance coverage and be courteous to the staff. That’s all it takes for a wonderful rental experience.

We were really happy with our experience with SRC at Pisa Airport. The car was ready with no waiting time on our arrival, and similarly when we dropped off on our return.
No issues with the car, it wasn't the newest (60km on the clock) but for the price we paid was great value.

Esperienza molto negativa. Bene la prenotazione, ma dopo aver pagato, al mio arrivo a Palermo nonostante avevo prenotato e pagato diversi giorni prima del mio arrivo all’aeroporto ho dovuto attendere oltre un’ora per prendere l’auto. Gli operatori lenti e poco cortesi. Alla riconsegna dell’auto mi hanno addebitato ben 35 euro tra penale e 8 euro di benzina che, a detta loro, mancava…naturalmente avevo fatto il pieno in un distributore a qualche km dall aereoporto!!!!!
Prima e ultima esperienza con questi signori!

Dunia, una ragazza allo sportello dell'aeroporto di Linate, mi ha letteralmente "salvato", grazie alla sua intelligenza, comprensione ed infinita pazienza, permettendomi di prendere l'auto, nonostante ci fossero problemi con 3 carte di credito e debito. Senza di lei, che ci ha permesso di noleggiare l'auto, 3 colleghi e me, saremo rimasti a piedi e non avremmo potuto presentarci al lavoro il giorno seguente, con conseguenze economiche tragiche... Dunia, grazie ancora, infinitamente.

I don't recommend it. There was no damage to the car for a week. After returning it, none of the employees commented on its condition. There was no reason to. The car was returned in perfect condition. However, two days later, they wrote that after a thorough inspection, they found damage and were demanding payment. Of course, this was unfounded, as there was no damage. If you don't want to get upset, stay away from SRC.

Nel 2024 ho noleggiato una macchina adattata con acceleratore al volante, cambio automatico e freno a spinta sotto il volante, adattata per persone con disabilità, ho pagato quasi € 140 al giorno ho fatto il tragitto dall'aeroporto di Catania fino al mio paese 30 km e tre volte usata in paese. Agli utenti che necessitano l'auto attrezzata con modifiche, come me, non noleggiatela e vi dico il perché, quelle tre volte che l'ho guidata mi è capitato di fermarmi in una piccola salita per dare precedenza e l'acceleratore non accelerava, ho dovuto spegnere il motore e riaccenderlo perché si avviasse, questo anche quando sono ripartito e ho consegnato la macchina all'aeroporto, un tormento con le macchine che suonavano dietro perché si era formata un lunga fila. Alla Sicily Rent Car dico se volete dare questo servizio a persone con disabilità, fate che non abbiano il problema che ho avuto io. Che L'adattamento sia fatto come è giusto che sia fatto. Non pensate solo al vostro guadagno.

Rented a T-Roc from SRC, hoping to get a more premium vehicle. Unfortunately there was a lot of instances of damage and 70k on the car when we collected it, which was disappointing, took photos of the damage which took time but in our haste didn’t take photos of the whole car. Got pulled for damage, really don’t think that it was anything we did that caused it, the position you would know or hear it. But we were charged £260 after reducing out excess. Doubled the car rental pretty much.

We rented a car in Pisa through SRC Cars and had a terrible experience from start to finish. First, they gave us a very old, worn-down Fiat 500 – nothing like what we expected. It had no proper accessories, and the overall condition was poor.

At pickup, they pushed us aggressively to pay extra for “better insurance,” using scare tactics and unclear explanations. We felt pressured and ended up paying the additional amount just to be safe, though it felt completely unethical.

We carefully photographed the car before driving off and treated it with extreme care – it was parked in a garage the entire time. Upon return, they told us to go inside the reception while they inspected the vehicle. Moments later, they came in and claimed there was a small dent on the side – something we absolutely did not cause.

We strongly suspect they caused the damage themselves while we were inside. The whole situation felt like a setup – dishonest and manipulative.

This company is not trustworthy, and what they’re doing is simply disgusting. I’m seriously considering taking further action and reporting this behavior because no one deserves to be treated this way.
I do not recommend renting a car here at all.
They charged us €245 for a 1 cm, miniature dent, which – I still firmly believe – they caused themselves while we were inside the office.
It’s truly unfortunate that companies like this ruin people’s holidays just to make extra money through dishonest means.

The car was ok, no troubles with getting it but if you dont book the stupid expenisv insurence from them they will rip your wallet for 100 euro for a car cleaning and make up some minour scratch what they say is made by you

I had a confirmed reservation with SRC Rent Car at Linate Airport, but was refused the rental at the counter because my documents were from different countries. My passport was from one country, my driver’s license from another, and my debit card from a third. In today’s world, this isn’t unusual. People live internationally and often have valid documents from different places. If that’s an issue for your rental process, it should be clearly stated on the website—before people pay and show up.

Hiwever, the woman at the desk was kind and did her best to help, even though the policy was out of her hands.

Hopefully, SRC updates its booking info or rethinks this rule. It’s not practical for international travelers.
UPD 24/06: I was told in a email by SRC that I won't receive a refund if my review won't be deleted :)

Nachträgliche Belastungen der Kreditkarte mit fadenscheinigen Schadensmeldungen! Dann doch lieber keine lokale Autovermietung.

Ho noleggiato per la seconda volta un veicolo presso l´aeroporto di Trapani Birgi e sono rimasto nuovamente soddisfatto del servizio di noleggio. Ho trovato un dipendente, il Sig. Vittorio estremamente gentile e professionale. Il prezzo del noleggio é stato molto competitivo nonostante non sia stata inclusa una polizza che prevedesse la riduzione della franchigia per danni o furto/incendio. I difetti dell´auto noleggiata erano chiaramente indicati e i pochi mancanti sono stati da me documentati con delle immagini in fase di ritiro dell´auto come suggerito dal Sig. Vittorio. La restituzione dell´auto, rifornita e lavata come concordato, é avvenuta in maniera rapida. Non sono stati riscontrati ulteriori difetti, La fattura finale non presentava alcuna variazione del prezzo concordato. In conclusione posso solo raccomandare il servizio di noleggio.

Operatori telefonici inesistenti
Dopo aver aspettato 8 minuti in chiamata quando era arrivato il mio turno un messaggio registrato mi ha informato che il servizio era rotto o qualche xszk&@ del genere ed è caduta la linea. Durante il noleggio(una settimana) ho provato più volte a chiamare ma nessuna risposta!!!!
Forse non rispondono durante i festivi?!?! Eppure le macchine sono in giro e come tale le chiamate potrebbero importanti.

Il noleggio auto presso SRC Rent Car all'aeroporto di Trapani è andato benissimo, sia al ritiro sia alla riconsegna e il personale è stato molto gentile. La cosa che però ho apprezzato più di ogni altra è stata che, dopo essermi dimenticato un mazzo di chiavi nell'auto noleggiata, il personale é stato davvero molto gentile e disponibile; mi hanno aiutato nella spedizione e sono stati sempre facilmente reperibili sia via email che telefonicamente. Sono molto grato e consiglio questo servizio di autonoleggio!

Bonjour, location voiture à SRC Comiso Aéroport LE 26/04/2025, accueil très froid, la personne me remet les clés en m'indiquant que le parking et derrière sans nous accompagner donc sans contrôle de l'état du véhicule, voiture OPEL Corsa rouge diesel 106000km, carrosserie sale et intérieur très moyen, je fait une dizaine de photos, il y a des coups et griffes légers sur la totalité du véhicule. Retour le 03/05 aucune indication pour trouver le parking il faut suivre SBC (Sicily Buy Car) le concurrent qui s'occupent de ses clients. Bureau fermé à 8h08 le Samedi : pas de contrôle du véhicule, il faut appeler un numéro gribouillé sur une affichette pour mettre les clés dans une boite aux lettres non sécurisée. Aucue information sur le retour du véhicule malgré 2 relances sauf 19 jours plus tard ou on me ponctionne 342e pour des griffes à peine visibles sur le capot seule pièce qui n'avait pas d'impact. Je reprends pour comprendre mes photos du 26/04 et constate qu'il y avait effectivement déjà des petites griffes légères. Je conteste avec mes photos, réponse : ce n'était pas marqué donc c'est vous peu importe les photos ! De plus on m'adresse un devis daté du 08/11/2024 pour un véhicule avec 88132km. Nouvelle réclamation et on me renvoie le même devis sans changement de date mais avec kilométrage corrigé. Une vraie arnaque quand je vois le nombre de clients ayant eu la même malheureuse expérience.

We picked up our car at the Catania airport. Davide and Giulia were efficient and knowledgeable. We got full insurance coverage and had no issues. The car was in excellent condition.
