Great service for shipping US only items to Canada
Not sure what all of the negative reviews are about. My shipment arrived at their facility, I filled out the duty forms and added my credit card on file. I didn’t need to make any kind of deposit or anything until it arrived in Canada.
I had the package shipped to my doorstep and they offer 4 different courrier options. A few days later it arrived in perfect condition. They handled the duty and everything and as far as I can’t tell there wasn’t some ludicrous duty handling charge like UPS and fedex often try to charge.
You could maybe dock them a star for a pretty old web UI but I didn’t have any trouble navigating it.

8 days and I'm still waiting for my parcel to be shipped to me. Originally it was a software update that caused my transaction to load, and load...the next day it was still loading, customer service has different explanations every time they communicate. I guess they have a limit, after 6 emails and 1 phone call - yes I called over a dozen times only got through once - no more communication.
2 days of silence. Time to file a complaint with the government so they get flagged as a Consumer beware business or perhaps the government can issue an administrative action. They have my parcel, and I have paid the shipping in full, yet they refuse to respond. I'm sure they are dealing with a lot of unhappy customers.
If their software allowed the customer to fix their own errors, Shippsy's customer (lack of) service would have a lot less work to do. Shippsy is the exception where technology makes their employees work harder rather than smarter.
Nothing but problems
Nothing but problems. Web page is a poor design, item arrives the only option is to add credit to your account. The amount of the deposit is a guess, meaning if you deposit a large amount you will have to keep using their service to use it up. I deposited the same amount as the time and was $0.08 short, another email said I had a action outstanding for the parcel, the action was to complete the payment of $0.08, I thought it was a software problem. I finally got through to a CSR and she said payments under a dollar are rejected. She said she would fix it and call me right back to call, no change in status. 8 days and nothing has changed, if you call a dozen times you may get through, even in the early evening. I used them twice and both times problems, their CSRs don't understand how the software works. Not enough workers is one problem but everyone you talk to has a different interpretation of the issue. I can see why they don't consolidate parcels, their staff wouldn't be able to handle such a complexity ;-) Never again.

Takes many weeks and many emails to finally get a package. This is literally all the company is supposed to do!
Will never use them again.
Shippsy made it easy to get U.S packages
Shippsy made it easy to get U.S. packages in Canada without high shipping costs.
My experience with customer service is second to none.

Paid hundreds of dollar in duties then proceeded to lose my package. Horrific customer service and communication. Would never recommend them to anyone.
Good Experience Overall, But Room for Improvement
I was initially hesitant to try Shippsy after reading some mixed reviews. But when my favorite Etsy shop in Florida had a rare 40% off sale (which never happens), I couldn’t pass it up. The problem was that direct shipping to Alberta was quoted at $151—way too high. That’s when I decided to give Shippsy a shot.
The only reason I’m rating four stars instead of five is because their portal’s product claim options felt really limited. Since I was shipping glitter, none of the categories fit, so I had to choose “Other.” Unfortunately, that triggered the highest duty/VAT estimate—almost $100. Luckily, once it cleared customs and reached Shippsy in Calgary, the final cost dropped to around $30, which was much more reasonable.
Since I stocked up on glitter (thanks to the big sale) for crafting with my kids, the savings still made it worthwhile. Beyond that, everything else went smoothly. Once my package hit Calgary, I paid for the final leg of shipping, and it arrived at my doorstep in Lethbridge within just a day or two.
Charge Backs and Stolen Goods
Our company sold coating inspection equipment to this business and shipped it to their address at 6420 Inducon Dr W, Suite E, Sanborn, NY 14132 for over $12,000. The following month, they filed chargebacks on all the transactions. Since then, no one from the company has been reachable despite repeated attempts.
This behavior is not only unprofessional but is the kind of matter that typically ends up in legal dispute if left unresolved. Any company considering doing business with them should proceed with extreme caution. I strongly encourage them to resolve this before it escalates further.
Read Shippsy's List of prohibited items carefully
Be very careful about using this company. They have a long list of products they will not handle. I ordered prescription eyeglasses in the US from a company that does not ship to Canada. Shippsy refused to clear them through customs because of an internal policy, even though the are not restricted by CBSA. I had to write them off and pay a fee to Shippsy to "dispose" of them. I bought a new pair from a company that ships to Canada. I won't make that mistake again.
Bad Business practice
I ordered a package that got sent it with 2 tracking numbers they forgot to put a sample in the package and charged me the full shippsy fee plus the VAT and tariffs for a sample in a totally separate package. I tried to reason with the company and nothing was done. I think this was bad business and I will never be using them again.

I’ve been using Shippsy for small purchases in the USA for several years now. Except for a couple of packages that took longer to find. They have been consistent and a much cheaper alternative. I have no negatives to say.
super great
weird that these guys don't have a better rating on here. i had a great experience with them.
Had some books, but the company i bought them from wouldn't ship to canada. so i used shippsy. Their markup was super low, and their website works great. Customer service replies very fast.
Honestly, i'll be using this company again for sure. You probably should too, if you're trying to get something shipped from the states.
Absolute scammers. Overpriced. Terrible customer service
Absolute scammers
Made a purchase from one retailer that sent as multiple shipments. They refused to put them together and forced me to pay exorbitant processing fees on each one worth more than the original item.
Their customer service is beyond slow.
Their email is run by copy-paste robots. There is one manager and he is a copy paste robot as well who can’t do the most basic of tasks
Everyone here is incompetent.
From the very first girl who while nice put me on hold but the line immediately went dead. Literally no one here has any level of customer service ability
They are the definition of a corporation that doesn’t care about their customers
I asked if they could make an exception and combine my shipments. I’d even pay extra. A service all their competitors offer yet they refuse so you have to pay far more individually
They will gouge you any excuse they can
Go elsewhere with you business
I certainly plan to.
Some companies go above and beyond. Shippsy goes below and beyond, failing Spectacularly on every level
The song they make you listen to on wait could be used to punish prisoners in Guantanamo.
Customer service 0/10
Business hours 1/10
Services to customers 0/10
Pricing 1/10
Horrible musics -100/10
Go elsewhere this company sucks!
Concerning reviews at very least
Concerning reviews at very least. Phone number is always busy no response. Not impressed. If I don’t get my package I will take action at there facility.
Don’t use if you need a timely delivery
They take ages to deliver and have no proper customer service if you need to fast track the delivery
Final price way higher than quoted price
Quoted me $32 for home delivery, then went on to tell me that their online price estimator is not working correctly and that I should have contacted them before hand. Final price for delivery: $80.
Lost or stolen content with no accountability
I’ve used Shippsy for many years. Most experiences were fine. This one is negative star.
When enjoying the discounted service, be mindful that if Shippsy lost your package, they could just say the transaction is completed on their system and washes all responsibility away. There is no independent tracking, no insurance, no accountability. No one would know for sure, but it’s hard to rule out they purposefully stole the package contents and resale them. There is no accountability and the business process encourages malicious intents.
The discounts are not worth the loss of content.
Very Reliable Service
Very reliable service. I live in Toronto and my order was some clothing coming from the US. The whole process was very professional. I got updates on my order throughout and there were no delays,
Highly recommend.
They say there are no hidden fees but…
They say there are no hidden fees but there most certainly ARE!!! They not only charge you a flat fee for importations but they also charge you a 3% fee on any duty and tax that you owe. They will only disclose this if you ask. They lump it all in together under "duty" and "tax" on your invoice. If you crunch the numbers on your invoice you will see that you're paying more than your duty rate and more than your tax rate and this is why. They are soooooo dodgy!!!
Awful service for small businesses
Most reviews you’ll read are from shoppers who make one-time of every-so-often purchases. I’ve been ordering volume with Shippsy for months now, and I have to say, it’s been a frustrating experience.
At first Shippsy is great - for small packages that is - or until they realize you’re ordering larger volumes.
Their customer support team takes no accountability for warehousing issues. They’ve lost 2 of my recent orders that have arrived TOGETHER with a third and continuously find excuses to ignore my calls or take absurd time to respond to my emails.
Keep in mind, as it’s been explained to me - the warehousing team sorts every package individually regardless of whether it arrives alongside other packages. I’ve never heard of such a time-wasting process. You’re fully relying on the goodwill of their warehouse facility team to process every order individually. Pray that your order makes its way across the border as I’ve had countless problems with “trust issues” and “incomplete information” claims.
The truth is that Shippsy is only good for small volume domestic customers. If you’re a serious small business, consider going through other routes. This one will cause tons of headaches and issues along the road.
