Saniflo Specialists Arvostelua 

I had an extremely poor experience with Plumbico / “Saniflo Specialists”. I booked them because they advertised a fixed price of £181 to unblock my Saniflo toilet, get it working again, and replace seals. Based on this, I assumed they specialised in this work.

When the plumber arrived, he took a quick look and then told me they don’t even service the Saniflo model I have. He carried out no work at all — no unblocking, no repair, nothing — because they were unable to do the job.

Despite providing absolutely no service, they still demanded the full £181. I said this was unreasonable, as they did not and could not perform the service I booked. Since then they have chased me aggressively, even though they refused the job and didn’t touch the toilet.

Their terms and conditions say a “callout fee” applies whether or not work is done, but I was never told I was booking a callout. I was clearly booking their advertised fixed-price repair, not a “pay-for-nothing” callout fee.

This has been handled very poorly:
– Misleading pricing
– No work done
– No responsibility taken
– Full fee demanded for zero service
– Escalation instead of resolution

I would strongly recommend avoiding them based on my experience.

Ethan serviced my Saniflo unit this morning. He arrived on time and carried out the work quickly and efficiently. He was very friendly and gave me useful advice. My experience with both Ethan and Olivia has been extremely satisfactory and I would fully recommend this Company.

Jordan arrived promptly and ready for the challenge of replacing my old saniflo plus. It was awkwardly and very snuggly located in a wall cavity..far from easy! Jordan was patient, calm, polite, professional and took time to assess the best way to approach the job. The new unit was deeper than the old which meant he couldn’t put the replacement in the wall. Jordan went the extra mile to create access as neatly as possible and to re-attach the stud wall etc that needed to be removed to take out the old unit. He really has the best attitude for a job like this. He took the necessary time and was patience and understanding of my hovering and various questions and requests! Top job..100% recommend this company. Thank you.

Really quick to send an engineer out to sort the issue. Easy to sort with Olivia. Craig the engineer arrived within specified time scale. Really polite and efficient, very helpful. Pumps and macerators are a specific area of plumbing and often difficult to find. Engineer was highly competent in this specialist area. He fixed pump quickly. He also sold me service package!

I am so happy with the work that was carried out today. I was very stressed over it all with it been in my salon. But I was put at ease and was sorted and a new one was fitted straight away no hassle.

And even cleaned and tidy up after himself.

Craig, the Saniflo engineer, was friendly and very informative. He explained exactly what was causing the problem. He worked diligently for two hours to get the toilet working properly again. Would definitely recommend this company.

Saniflo Specialists based in Leicester are NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED!! They dont actually appear to be specialists. This company is part of a bigger company called Plumbico. Communication is poor. Automated messages, not personal. At the first visit the engineer was hours late rather than slightly late reported in the automated message. It was quite difficult to find out who owned the company, there is no transparency. I initially contacted them as I thought I had drain flies which were coming up into the shower basin. As the shower, basin and loo drain into a Sanipack I thought it advisable to contact a Saniflo company. Admin appears to deal with all calls and there is no direct access to an engineer. It appears admin vet the jobs not engineers. At the first visit I was charged more than quoted with no explanation despite me asking why. Also they did not treat the drain flies but it appeared they just did a normal service. The engineer said the non return valve needed replacing so that was an extra charge. As it was only changed 18 months ago I’m not sure it was actually necessary. Straight after the first visit the macerator was making a noise for 5 days then intermittently.
Despite me informing them they did not open the sanipack to check at the 2nd visit. The second visit was to check the drain flies that were still present. At this second visit the engineer said he didn't know much about drain flies. I asked the company why they sent an engineer who did not know what to do about drain flies. I got no response.
A third visit was required at extra cost to treat the drain flies. Only then did engineer say he didn’t think they were drain flies. I asked the company why this was not done at the first visit rather than me having to pay more money. I did not get a response. After this 3rd visit the macerator started making a noise again. Within days it stopped working, the toilet bowl filled up and was not draining. By this time I had lost confidence in the company.
I paid for a proper specialist company to come and check. This company very quickly found that a rubber foot from the motor had not been put back properly (at the first visit) and this rubber foot was blocking the non return valve. If the foot had gone up into the pipe work it would have been a big job replacing the pipes. Also this blockage caused a flood into the garage area. So Saniflo specialists have actually caused problems rather than solving and also cost me unnecessary expense. The new specialist company also said they did not think it was drain flies.
It has cost me a lot of money to find out they are not drain flies.
The managing director of the Saniflo Specialists (Plumbico) is absolving the company of any responsibility regarding the rubber foot and instead is blaming the other company. The only thing he offered me was a 50% reduction on the macerator cover. As I had already cancelled it after the first visit that was no offer. Why on earth would I use the company again. He was just trying to get more money out of me.
Plumbico does not appear concerned about goodwill or their reputation but only about making as much money as possible for a poor standard service.
Plumbicos response to my review was to be expected. They still don't take any responsibility for obviously poor work. The response is from an administrator who obviously does not understand the engineering side of my complaint. Olivia I DID inform you about the macerator noise the very next day after the first visit. As I cant open the macerator myself I was unable to tell you it was a loose part. The engineer should have have opened the macerator to check at the 2nd visit which was 7 days after the first visit, after the history of 5 days of noise, despite there was no noise that day, then he would have found what the problem was. After 3 weekly visits from your company with extra costs are you really surprised that I eventually got in a properly experienced company to check what the problem was?

Craig arrived on time. Fully explained the problem and how the saniflo device worked, fixed it, explained how I could maintain the pump to avoid the problem in future. Cleaned up carefully and was very helpful and informative throughout. Highly recommended.

Called the team late evening, and was issued with an appointment promptly the following day. Engineer Craig attended, he was professional & polite, and fixed my saniflow toilet issue. Thank you.

Great service. Turned up on time and did a great job. Highly recommend this company. Very nice to deal with too.

We were charged £395 for a Saniflo expert to replace a Saniflo (took under 1h) but the job wasn't completed according to the instructions. We were left with the connecting pipe kinked against the macerator and when we ask head office for a rectification they said it was a separate job. So, we ended up calling another plumber to fix this otherwise the macerator motor would have burnt.
I have added a second star because the response time was really good and the engineer came promptly to the site.
