Safestore - Borehamwood Arvostelua 

I am writing this to warn others about the billing practices at Safestore. My experience has been defined by administrative inflexibility and an aggressive approach to debt recovery that is entirely disproportionate to the situation.

When booking, I was very clear that I required storage for exactly one month. I was informed by the representative that their system could not facilitate this directly. Instead, I was instructed to sign up for a specific one week + one month billing structure with the explicit understanding that this would cover my requested duration and then conclude.

Despite following the instructions provided by the staff at the time of booking, Safestore attempted to charge me for an additional month after I had already vacated the unit.

I disputed this charge immediately, pointing out that it contradicted the terms discussed during the booking process. I left the unit prior to the end of my term. Safestore showed zero flexibility or willingness to investigate the context of my booking.

Rather than resolving this customer service issue internally, Safestore has seen fit to refer this disputed fee to a debt collection agency. This is an incredibly heavy-handed response to a loyal customer who followed their own staff's guidance.

The administrative headache and the threat to one's credit standing are simply not worth the "offers" Safestore uses to attract customers. There are many alternative storage providers in the area with more transparent billing systems and better customer support. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere to avoid the stress of being pursued for fees you do not owe.

Jade has been an absolute star and exceptional at her job, her knowledge is vast and she absolutely goes above and beyond to ensure the customers requests are met. I'm a long standing customer and definitely feel my belongings are secured and at affordable rate. I wouldn't consider moving elsewhere at this current time as I wouldn't want to replace the service received from Jade. She's definitely an asset.

Incredible customer service from Konstantinos Sevastakis, from the initial interaction to now, he has shown nothing but a caring and professional attitude towards my questions.
More people like him are needed at Safestore!

I received excellent customer service from members of staff at the Borehamwood branch. Hammad went above and beyond to accommodate my request. We needed to unload a 24tonne lorry and put into storage an 800kg pallet full of windows. Hammad researched storage options and managed to give me a reasonable price. On the day of delivery extremely skilled forklift driver Kon carefully took down our windows and doors and safely put them into storage. They are a great team and I am very grateful for all their help.

It been an amazing experience dealing with Danny. Super fast, super helpful, super guidance. Couldnt be better !

Good storage facility price ok and decent service too

Ridiculous customer service in handling complaint. Signed up for service and direct debit on 22nd Feb. First direct debit payment was failed and I was informed on 1st Apr (not Apr Fool though), I was then given a payment link which I paid instantly. However, I was charged for dishonest payment penalty £15. Checked with Metrobank whose customer services was so great comparatively, the lady spent over half hour and confirmed with the IT department that Safestore submit the direct debit application and was then setup on 25th Feb but it requested for a cancellation on 4th Mar subsequently for unknown reason. Reported this back to safestore but denied that they have cancelled the direct debit unless I can prove them guilty. Sorry I'm not a police or investigator. This is not about the £15 but the way it tried to hide someone mishandling or IT bugs by passing the fault onto its customer. I was accused for dishonest payment which I have done everything possible as a customer for authorizing direct debit and have the money ready for it. I need to make sure that this is heard by the senior management, eg. Ian Tattersall (operation director).. to look into this black hole.

**Update - Staff from store did call to discuss but it doesn't help at all and basically just to repeat what had been said before. However, the manager did advised that there was some similar problems happened before with Metrobank direct debit. What Safestore should have been done was to alert the possible issue in setting up direct debit on time with Metrobank and I would have provided other bank account to pay. I am a customer with credit score over 900, and I simply Cannot accept an dishonest payment accusation when I have done everything possible for the payment arrangement as a customer. Shame on you safestore.

Absolutely amazing customer service. Friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to make our life easier when using them for all our businesses storage needs. Highly recommend!
