I have had a lot of experience with agencies and agents over the years and occasionally I am contacted by an agent who takes a real interest in my capabilities, and I don't feel like I am just another number. I get regular calls, just to see how things are going, and have now taken a contract through Roc Search. Admittedly, it's down to individual agents to make the effort, but it is also down to the agency to allow and encourage the agents to make this effort.
I find that if an agent knows and understands my abilities, then I am more likely to be offered suitable positions.

Dylan from Roc Search really went the extra mile to make sure everything that I needed was accounted for in the job role. He kept me up to date as much as possible and was there if I had any questions. All in all brilliant.

I have been getting spam emails from this company for the last five years, asking if I have any IT vacancies. The email always starts with something like "following on from our conversation last week". I have never spoken to them or replied to any of the hundreds of emails they have sent. I don't even work in HR or IT! Came here to see if other people are having the same issue with this company, looks like they are!

After I _explicitly_ told them not to retain contact details after they had checked my references one of my references messaged telling me they were getting cold calls.

These people are making me look unprofessional. They'll do the same to you. Wish I'd read these reviews first.

As many people have already mentioned, they contact you regarding a job vacancy but all they want is the contact information of your past employers so they can call them in order to increase their sales. They lie, waste your time and use you just for their profit. This should be illegal.

The recruiter stayed in touch with me throughout the process to keep me updated and answer my questions, and generally provided professional and emotional support. I even had some things I wanted to clear up after I got the job, and I was responded to right away.

The team helped me secure my first job in the UK in less than 2weeks. Thank you so much Chad.

Great recruitment agency. Were on the ball, eager and fast to both act and respond to any queries. Really solid communication. Can only recommend!

I was a contractor in a 9-month assignment through them. Their SOW timesheet system is absurd but to cut a long story short the assignment ended at end-March, full term, with them by their own agreement owing me 5 days pay. Two months later still not forthcoming, despite numerous calls/emails (most calls unreturned and emails not answered). Since end-March I was contacting the consultant I'd always dealt with, who assured me by fobbing me off time and again 'it's in hand' - presumably not the cash because it never reached my hands, and without having the courtesy to inform me they were leaving the organisation (I found this only from a standard reply when they'd left). On contacting the named person who was picking up their work, I was fobbed off with the same 'it's in hand', only this time as a priority.....a zero priority because nothing has happened, weeks later, and now calls and emails are unanswered.

I asked if there was any dispute with either Roc Search or the end client as to whether the money was payable and they say no. However I can only assume their tactic is I will just get fed up of asking and clear off. I don't believe they have ever had any intention of paying me.

Well, Roc Search, if you read this I'm not clearing off, on general principle I'm pursuing this through legal channels. I've engaged a debt collection agency based in Birmingham and by the way they'll want their fees too, which are £600. I'll leave you to sort it out with them.

Sorry to add to the negative reviews, but here goes. I was called by 'Luke' regarding this great job in my area. Sounded brilliant to start with, until I had some simple questions about the job listing. They couldn't give me any information about the business at all, and demanded I give a new CV (Apparently CV Library as a source is corrupted) along with 2 technical references. These are likely so they can chase my ex companies to fill the role I left. Don't give them any data, just run away.
Oh, and if Rocsearch are reading this? 7 attempted calls in 4 hours is a trashy way to act. Do better, be better.

I was contacted by telephone by a recruitment consultant from Roc Search on Wednesday 19th April regarding an interview arranged for Tuesday 25th April for IT contact role for a client. I was delighted this client wanted to interview me. I asked for this to be confirmed in an email and also asked for a job spec.

The interview on Teams lasted just 18 minutes with the job role different to the job spec received. I understand from the interview, the role was due to start on Thursday 4th May.

I called Roc Search immediately after the interview and told them I was interested in the role and asked them to contact me with any feedback - even if I was unsuccessful. The recruitment consultant handing the role was not available so I spoke to his colleague to be told "of course we will contact you". A week on and just 2 days before the intended start date.....nothing from them. Not even a courtesy email informing me I had been unsuccessful and the reasons why.

I sent an email to the recruitment consultant concerned only to receive a reply informing me he is now on annual leave until 9th May.

It's virtually impossible to find employment in Britain in 2023 and this experience does not make me feel better.

My experience with all employment agencies has not been good during the last 3 months of job seeking.
