I once enjoyed your platform, especially your technical structure, but with the down time that happed sometime ago, I became skeptical in continuing with you, for fact that you are able to go through the what I call the 'test of time' though I lost some of my clients, and was also able to manage the situation. we can still do business together if you can assure me that such down time will not happen again

Rilla Hosting must be asked questioned for interrogation by Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. The business and its representative are unserious, arrogant and not professional. We can file a complaint on their official website

I’ve had a consistently poor experience with Rilla Hosting. I first tested their services three years ago, hosting several websites with them. My sites frequently went down, and the worst part was the rude and arrogant attitude of the sole proprietor.

Fast forward to this week, I decided to give them another chance by managing an account for a client that had three domains. I made a payment to renew one of the domains, but the renewal didn’t reflect. When I reached out via live chat, I was asked for an invoice number, which I couldn’t immediately find. I explained that they should be able to access the invoice from their backend, as more reputable providers like Namecheap typically do. Instead of offering help, the support representative was extremely rude.

I had hoped their service had improved over the years, but it’s actually gotten worse. After leaving a negative review on Google based on my experience, I received a message from Rilla Hosting threatening service discontinuation—just four days after renewing the domain. I was told I had 48 hours, then it was reduced to 24, and within just 8 hours, access to all the domains I paid for was cut off. Also, my ₦15,900 is still with them and yet to get refund.

There’s no active support line or verifiable office address. My lawyer attempted to serve them a legal letter, only to discover there was no valid address—just a vague mention of “Ibeju Lekki” on their site. He described it as a "mushroom business," and I now agree. The live chat is painfully slow, and I strongly suspect it’s just one person managing everything, switching admin names to appear as different support agents.

I have proof and screenshots to back up my claims. Government agencies are beginning to receive complaints about them. Please, avoid this company at all costs.

Subject: Final Notice – Unjust Interference with Paid Domains

Dear Rillahost,

We are writing in response to a serious complaint involving the unjust restriction of access to three (3) fully paid domains belonging to our client, simply because he expressed dissatisfaction with your services in a public review.

This level of retaliatory action is entirely unacceptable. The customer has not violated any terms, breached any agreements, or defaulted on payments. Yet, you have chosen to suspend or interfere with access to domains that he legally owns and paid for—an action that may constitute a breach of contract and a violation of consumer protection laws in Nigeria.

Let it be clearly stated:

The customer will not transfer any of the three domains until their natural expiration.

You are hereby given a final deadline of 2 hours to fully restore access to all affected domains and ensure there is no further disruption.

This action must be reversed immediately. Your company’s reputation across platforms like Nairaland, Trustpilot, and beyond is already suffering. Continuing this behavior only reinforces the pattern of misconduct being reported.

Should you fail to comply within the stated timeframe, we are prepared to escalate this matter legally and through appropriate regulatory channels.

Hosting service goes down evermonth and not reliable

Initially they started well but currently, it's a nightmare using them. I have lost a lot of clients due to Rilla's poor hosting infrastructure and it has cost me so much!

I have had to migrate over 10 websites to other hosting companies!

after creating our site for 6 months, barely 1 month after lunching, we started having downtime, currently the site is unusable, distorted and our subscription payment is gone... its brought our spirit down! just avoid this guys.

the most non-responding, problem compounding hosting site with no respect for businesses using their platform..
for 6days straight, the domain is down and website hosted on their platform is down but no means to reach out to them. Phone lines are switched off, no response to mail. how can they be this useless.
i read all comments and i am not happy about this. those saying they are good... keep it up.
if you know you dont want to do business again, please close shop cos you are not doing well at all... very disappointing.

My website has been down for more than 5 days without giving us noticed and the customer support number are not going. They have successfully ruin people business. We will meet in court soon. It's barely 2 weeks the Server went down and here is another downtime. You guys shut down our fintech with over 3000 user

Their server has been down for five days now. Do you even know how much they made me lose in five days and are still counting? This is a hosting platform I will not advise even my enemies to trust. I can't even reach any of their customer care representatives or even get a response on their live chat. At least we should be able to migrate our files, even if they are now out of business. For most of us, this is our source of livelihood. You can rest assured that I am going to sue this company and get back all the money I have lost so far and am still counting. Thanks

i dont know whats up lately

This company takes people's business for granted. How can they let downtime that lasting more than 24hrs without prior notice to clients. and all customer service line and reach all went down. no one to give account what is happening over 3days now

What a bad web hosting, no response to users during the down time.
