Get legal advice before you deal with this company!

D Stanley WILL be force full in order to get his payment even forces a 2 hour deadline after this he will take your car! EVEN IF THE CAR DOESN'T BELONG TO THE PERSON OWING THE DEBT! If anything is on the property to be attended he will just take it!

DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR TO THIS COMPANY OR MAN!

USE CITIZEN ADVICE AS A BARRIER.

Bullies, that is the only way to describe Reventus, it's their payment plan or nothing.
I understand debt recovery companies are doing a job, but please show some respect and a little compassion, I have been in constant contact with them from when I was made aware of the issue, but they will not give you any room to manoeuvre.
Staff are very rude and complete bullies from top to bottom.
Not sure what bodies to complain to like Ombudsman so if anyone can advise please do.

Was not aware my council debt had been passed to this company. Mr Stanley just arrived at my door. I have had absolutely no correspondence from them at all. I have had no chance to set up a payment plan. I have been paying £500 every four weeks (250.00 every two weeks) from my pension. The deadline that he gave me is totally unworkable and I will not make the deadline. When I telephone or email I am just told to speak to him. I have only his telephone number and all he keeps texting is keep to the agreement. Nothing in wtiting, no payment plan in writing. I am actually feeling bloody suicidal now. No one cares. I am asking pensioner, disabled and I have a blue badge but he is still saying he will take my car if I dont pay the balance by the end of March. Absolutely no welfare check has been done, no duty of care. Nothing.

Absolute bully bastard knocked on my door today,D Stanley, threatened to take my sons motability car and tried telling me he can legally do that. I owed council tax which i paid 2 weeks ago but hes tryna get 310 off me TONIGHT. For having to come round for a debt that was cleared 2 weeks ago! Tried everything he can to intimidate me into paying him right now! The car is not even in my name. Obviously this vile piece of scum was bullied at school now he thinks its ok to come round and bully single women😡😡😡disgusting company!

I would give them zero stars if there was that option. They are very unhelpful and a very intimidating. I am now scared that my children's things will be taken because they are unwilling to help me. Come across as a company full of bully's who was clearly bullied at school. No what you need when you are struggling with money

Just spoke to one of the managers her name was Jessica....absolute vile customer service and she calls herself a manager. Speak to people with abit of respect you pleb!!! Few people I've spoken to have been helpful. Jessica sort yourself out on how you speak to people or get another job!!!

offered to set up a payment plan starting in 8 days time. Would not set a payment plan up without a huge payment today.

No sympathy at all when times are hard

Did not give me a lot of time to arrange payment (as in only two days) and letter I received made threats of enforcement agents coming to my door

I owe council tax,i have done everything asked of me by these clowns,but they still want full payment, they won't set up a payment plan,a friend offered to pay my debt there and then in full,they also refused this,the lady I spoken to on 17th of October was an absolute patronising cow,most of the staff are rude and uncaring.

Abysmal service.

Not done due diligence to ensure they inform customers about their debt. Just hiding behind the minimum legal requirement.

Because of an issue with royal mail that has not delivered a letter I enquired additional cost. Reventus employees have no empathy and just blatantly pursue only money.

Also, they do not issue receipts for the payments made.

Very disingenuous business practices.

I advocate for someone, and speak to Reventus on their behalf, and until now they have been OK but today’s conversation has left me in tears. The man (I am told he was the manager) I spoke to was aggressive/ threatening & constantly spoke over the top of me…I had to hang up in the end. I’ve done everything they have asked and kept lines of communication open & I was treated like a complete piece of s**t.

How is this company still going after 92 percent of 1 star reviews that i completely agree with no empathy and talk to you with attitude and threatening behavior, suicide rates are on the up especially in males and its because of companies like this, no remorse , im livid with this company. Never known a debt recovery conpany be this bad !!!!

Really bad experience don't agree to plans plus did not want to know Mr Kelly was a vile an unbelievably unprofessional person. Disgusting the way they treat people and just try squeeze more money out of you have part time job and wanted over 100 a month off me was not willing to discuss a plan I cant believe council actually work with these people put a complaint in to company and will be reporting the company properly AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I had an outstanding council tax debt, that I needed to pay. The council had been writing to me at a previous address. My fault I hadn't updated it. So I wasn't aware. Basically this company wanted immediate payment , which my first thought was no I can't do that. I requested to set up a payment plan which they refused. The debt collector Kieron, despite collecting money from me, remained polite, and courteous throughout. I managed to get it paid, as if I didn't pay there would be an escalation in costs. But he gave me a couple of hours grace to sort things out. I get he was doing his job, and am happy to now have the debt cleared. If Kieron hadn't of remained polite, calm and professional I would have lost my temper. Kieron its a difficult job you do, but due to your demeanor you got it done. Thanks for dealing with me in a respectful man, it's much appreciated 👍

Avoid Reventus – Incompetent and Unfair Debt Collection

I have had an extremely frustrating and stressful experience with Reventus, and I would strongly advise anyone dealing with them to be cautious.

They have been wrongfully pursuing me for a council tax debt that does not belong to me, even after I provided clear evidence proving that I was not liable for the charges. My tenancy ended before the period they are trying to charge me for, and I have submitted emails from my landlord, bank statements, and other proof – yet they continue harassing me with enforcement threats.

This company does not properly investigate disputes and instead blindly chases debts without verifying if the person is actually responsible. Their incompetence and refusal to do their job properly have caused me unnecessary stress and wasted time.

If you receive a letter from Reventus for a debt you do not owe, challenge them immediately and report their actions to the Local Government Ombudsman if necessary. I hope councils reconsider using them, as they seem more focused on aggressive collection tactics rather than handling disputes fairly.

Completely unacceptable service.

I got a mail regarding my unpaid taxes from previous tenancy which was clearly a fault of Brighton and Hove Council as the same thing had happened to my other friend. I was a bit shocked upon receiving the letter as I am a monthly tax payer. I called the given number and the lady OMG she was so rude, upon understanding the situation I said, "oh" and she mockingly copied me and accused me like I am an actual thief? I could throw that amount of cash on her face had I known it was an outstanding balance the was she spoke to me was atrocious, wonder what kind of thugs they hire for customer care. You inform us the call is being recorded maybe actually listen to how your staff actually speaks and train them on human decency!

Evil people. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to do the right thing, or work with them. Trained to bully, intimidate and manipulate. They act as if you owe them personally, I recorded the whole thing and will be sending to my local council. Explained I was vulnerable they asked for proof in order to change the way they spoke to me. People actually end their lives from money struggles and debts, so for them to treat somebody they don’t know with such abuse shows what scummy little playground bullies they are. I was hung up on, threatened, and lied to. After I came to an agreement and sent my money, it was revealed the whole time they were lying to me and were still going after the whole thing is full.

Advice I have received - do not interact with them past showing your intent. Let them know you intend to pay. Do not reveal any personal information. Let them know you are recording the call and record it. Do not trust a word that comes out of their mouths. Do not let them tell you to “stop talking” because they are speaking. Don’t let them make you react emotionally, it’s what they’re trained to do. Do not answer the door to them. They are not legally allowed to threaten you, so if they start telling you stories remind them of this.

They have broken multiple laws in their conversation with me. Avoid at all costs.

Today I had a crook arrive to my door, without 7 days notice. They are rude, and unprofessional. I'm beyond shocked they're representing the government. They think they're god with their unreasonable demands. AVOID at all costs.

Absolutely disgusting company to deal with . Hang up the phone when trying to dicuss a payment plan wouldnt accept a lower payment plan , tried the live chat again cut off abruptly. Tried again to speak to them via phone again told no we won't be accepting any payment plan it's gone back to the client. Explained multiple times I am vulnerable my health conditions and needing time and understanding. Absolutely heartless rude and unprofessional

I've no idea how this company get my phone number and what is the purpose that they try to get my money. I don't even live in UK. I have UK phone number because my boyfriend live in this country. They send me a message with an order to contact them otherwise it will cost me 235£. Pffff....
