My friend collapsed on the ferry, with in a fraction of second first aid group came and started giving a possible procedure to minimize the risk… They were extremely professional and everything on time. They handle that critical situation in a very professional way.. I recommend this ferry

Staff at the terminal were very polite and efficient however on loading we were told that the ferry we had booked was full and that we would have to wait for the next ferry. We received a free drink voucher. The loading man said to raise a complaint online if we wanted. On making a complaint, using the online complaint process, once again very efficient, and quick reply, that the ferry was overbooked, customer services pointed out that we had failed to get to the terminal at least 15 minutes before departure as required (which was due to the car breaking down the night before and that the RAC took over 6 hours to arrange for a 3rd party to do the repair as they did no have any RAC vehicles on the Isle of Wight at that time), and although they were not willing to refund any of the costs they offered a 25% reduction on a future crossing if booked within 6 months. I think a very fair offer by Red Funnel and would definitely continue to use them over Wightlink ferries who we found to be more expensive.

After 11 years and multiple trips per year, 1 bad member of the car deck crew means I'll be using White Link in future. The man, who I've made the profile picture, was unhelpful, rude and REALLY let's your company down.

Me and my partner were gonna go to the Isle of Wight this next bank holiday however, we decided to go to Paris instead because not only the flight is more cheaper but accommodation there too. Unlike this ferry company thinking they can try and rip people off and accommodation at Isle of Wight a bit pricey too. Nice try

Good crossing. Good information given over tannoy and sailings we’re on time.
Lost some glasses on board and good service for lost property though sadly didn’t retrieve them

I feel that Red Funnel is the biggest "rip off" company I have ever encountered. There can be no justification for the extortionate charges to travel or the prices of food etc.
As an example, I can purchase 3 x magnum ice creams from my suupermaket for £2.50. Red Funnel want £3.30 for ONE! shows what profit they are making.
I recently travelled on Calmac as a foot pasenger for £17 day return for a 3.5 hours (enjoyable) journey. compare this to the £25+ on Red Funnel for a 2 hours (boring) journey, travelling like sardines in a tin.
On top of this, if one were to ammend a booking to a higher cost crossing, then RF charge extra for it, yet should it be a lower cost crossing, then there is no way a person can expect a refund from them.
All they appear interested in is making as much profit as they can out of the general public who have little choice but to pay it.

Rude staff.
I went on a trip with an elderly group, and as soon as the announcement was made asking everyone to make their way to the vehicles, we left immediately. There were queues for the lifts, which caused a slight delay, but despite this we were repeatedly rushed and shouted at to leave.
I understand that staff need to clear the area quickly to make way for the next trip, and I appreciate they have a job to do. However, there was no need for the rude and aggressive attitude. We were also waiting for someone who uses a walking stick but our veichle had been forced to move further along so they had to walk further. A little more patience and understanding, especially towards an elderly group, would have gone a long way.

This is for the Red Jet. Used to be a great service, once an hour in winter, and every 30 minutes in the summer. Now it is one every 70 minutes. Clearly driven more by profit than service.

Massive shout out to the guys at Red Funnel Southampton. I catch the ferry daily for work as we live on the Island and commute to Southampton. I arrived for my return ferry today to find I had a flat tyre. I was asked to pull over into a bay and
Leighton changed my tyre for me and got me onto my return ferry with three minutes to spare. I am so grateful especially as a woman who travels alone. Thank you so much.

We arrived early and we're put on the earlier ferry , staff really friendly, really easy process.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. It’s a good and reliable service.

All went according to plan, boarded with no hassle, on time and disembarked having arrived on time. Had tea and some food as planned. Shame about the vaping in the forward saloon.

We turned up a bit early on the morning of our trip but the lady who checked our booking said we could go earlier if wanted she was very nice and helpful, the crossing was very good as well so was and enjoyable trip not stressful at all

Just a great trip over to isle of Wight then return to Southampton. Always use Red Funnel
