The store had exactly what I was looking for at a great price. The salesperson was very pleasant, knowledgeable and respectful.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a recent furniture purchase and delivery experience that has been both frustrating and unacceptable.

My wife and I purchased furniture from your clearance center in Milford, CT, with a scheduled delivery date of March 26, 2026. At the time of purchase, we were not informed of any additional delivery fees beyond what was already included in our transaction.

On the scheduled delivery date, a third-party delivery team arrived but only delivered half of our order. The delivery personnel stated they would return with the remaining couch, but later contacted us to say it would be delivered the following day. During this interaction, we were unexpectedly told that we must pay an additional $250 delivery fee—something that was never disclosed at the time of purchase.

This lack of transparency is extremely concerning. If such a fee was required, it should have been clearly communicated before completing the sale. Being asked to pay an additional $250 after the fact is unacceptable.

I contacted the Milford clearance center and spoke with sales associate J.P. and store manager Cameron to address this issue. Unfortunately, neither was able to provide a clear explanation or offer any resolution.

At this point, I am requesting the following:

Immediate clarification regarding the alleged $250 delivery fee
Written confirmation that we will not be responsible for any undisclosed charges
Prompt delivery of the remaining furniture at no additional cost

If this matter is not resolved quickly, I am prepared to escalate this complaint through the Better Business Bureau and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. By the way! My receipt does not indicate a delivery charge. I have a problem with the customer service but the furniture is EXCELLENT.

I would give negative stars if I could. We bought a couch at the Milford, CT store and told it was in stock and would be delivered in a few days. They never contacted us. We contacted them to set up a delivery and they never came or called us. We contacted them and they said the delivery was cancelled as the couch was out of stock. We called the store and customer service line a dozen times, left a dozen messages and never heard back. We eventually got hold of the sales lady and pretty much blew me off when I when I said we wanted to cancel the order and get our money back. My wife eventually got through to her and she said we’d have our money in a couple of days…two weeks later…no money. Their system said it was done…BS. Still waiting on our money. Go to Ashley furniture or Bob’s Discount. Avoid these people at all cost.

Had great help from Jay and Jill totally great experience will come back and recommend others , as matter of fact this is my go too place for furniture always go back to the same salesman Jay and i have already recommended friends and coworkers
