Disappoint experience at Albrighton Hall- Shrewsbury

A spa break booked for myself and a friend.
Suw to scheduling issues we didn't receive one of our treatments and though refunded it was the main reason for the trip. On arrival our room wasn't ready but that was ok ..but we got roomie room it wasn't set for two beds are booked weeks before. Has to wait awhile they had staff sort it.
Off to the pool...poolside the chairs are directly under heating vents which keep you warm but make the pool absolutely freezing to get into. Also the hot tub was broken and apparently had been for many weeks.
Back to the room relax. TV is outdated and nothing but cable channels.
We decided our package meal allowance at the bar...having not used all the allowance for the food we were stil for the juice with we had to drink. Seemed a bit petty.
The morning for breakfast was a buffet filled with a variety of cereals, yogurt fruit and full English. Being vegetarian I could have egg toast as there were no hot alternatives for sausage and bacon.
Spa treatment time. Lovely spa treatment but when going back tomorrow room at 1130 we were locked out. We go to reception and told it is valid until 12 but it was only 1130. It is revalidated and we go up to shower and pack as we had till 1pm late check out. The cleaning staff let themselves in while I was drying my hair.
After checkout I'm told I'll get my £50 hold back in a few days!
We pack the car and come back for our afternoon tea which was included in the packages but asked several times about it. Which took the joy of the tea away.
In all, a disappointing visit. I didn't feel taken care of my staff, my concerns swept under the rug and the memories on the room needed updating. Underwhelming and not the experience we made quite a lot for.

Radisson Blu Bergamo and the Radisson…

Radisson Blu Bergamo and the Radisson Hotels booking app on iPhone:
Having booked a room stay at this hotel which is non refundable booking via the "Radisson Hotels app" on iPhone where we also provided our credit card details to make the booking and we received from credit card provider confirmation of this payment being held for the hotel.
We are then put into an frustrating and annoying situation by the hotel in Radisson Blu in Bergamo, Italy, this was started by a front desk employee at the hotel who has been sending emails to customers forcing them to redo the same payment process again via a 3rd party provider, why on earth would you need to do this when you have already done this via the official Radisson's Hotel app and this is not correct or safe way of having to send your credit card information over the Internet again via email which is an unsafe process sending data in this way can be intercepted.
We contacted the Radisson central reservations by phone who refused to contact the hotel to deal with this matter directly after they told us that we do not need to do this and our booking is safe and reserved on there systems already, when then in return we told them this information at the Radisson Bergamo hotel who also stated in there email stating if we do not do the payment the for booking it will be cancelled in 48Hrs.
The Radisson central reservations put us through to the front desk of the hotel only to be told by the employee on the front desk that we would have we must respond to the email and refusing to accept the information provided by the central reservations for Radisson Hotels.
Finally after causing all this frustration we told the hotel that they may cancel the reservation if they are not satisfied with the answer provided for correct information provided by the Central Reservations.
Do not send your banking or credit card details to this hotel if they send you an email asking you to do this it is not a secure process emails can be see by unknown third parties and data can be stolen by third party receivers of your credit card information.
Here our my message to Radisson - you are may cancel our reservation, since it states on the contractual agreement of the booking that we cannot cancel it because we will be charged for the booking and also by central reservations, but we will not be providing you with our personal credit card data in this manner. Radisson Blu Bergamo hotel booking reference end digits *****9210. Its goes to show that the attitude of the front desk and its systems is not customer friendly.

Dirt, tired, broken furniture, lazy staff and cockroaches

Right now we are at the Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh. We paid 2200 dollars for 10 nights in a villa. Every door here is broken, cupboards are broken, lights don't work. The pool has been cleaned 0 times in 9 days - it is full of rotting leaves. All the carpets are covered in dust. Soft furniture and cushions are stained. Under our bed is someone's potatoes and layers of dirt and dust. I have been talking about these problems since the first day of our stay. Managers make surprised faces, apologize and promise to fix everything. But for 10 days we only changed the bed and brought water. The dirt where there was, there and remained. The food is a separate conversation - everything we ordered was simply impossible to eat. And breakfasts are the worst I have seen in hotels. I can send two dozen photos and videos on the subject. Is it a Radisson? Is that a five-star? It's a disgrace.

Nytårsaften i Ballroom var skuffende.
De 4 retter var for små, og elendige.
Sur spansk rødvin, men selve bøffen var i orden.
Lyd teknikker ville ikke høre på at folk synes der var alt for meget bas på, så man ikke kunne tale sammen.
Jeg måtte heller ikke have min 'rollator' med ind til bordet.
Der er ingen handicap parkering, og ParkZone og Easypark virker ikke sammen...
Måske lige i overkanten at tage 1700 kroner for vær. 727.

Prices increased by over 50%

I've stayed in quite a few Radisson hotels and have always been happy with the service.
Last year I had trouble booking up on the website, but eventually got sorted and had a great weekend in the Radisson blu in leeds.
I received an email today offering 30% off bookings and intended booking the same hotel again.
When I put the same dates in for this year I found that even with the discount the cost is over 50% more expensive than last year.
I appreciate overheads have increased and expected some increase but not to this level.
Unfortunately it looks like we'll be booking another hotel.
We usually come to Leeds for a weekend once or twice a year and have stayed at the Radisson Blu multiple times, but this price increase is just too much
**Just had another look at the dates in August. Booking.com price is £320 and Radisson members price is £316.57. Some sale this is, less than £4 saving.

Fraud

A fraudulent booking was made for this hotel on my Expedia account using by bank card and then cancelled. This meant that nearly £300 was taken from my account, I have contacted the hotel who said that they have a no refund policy. This booking was made for December 2025, I have not made it and they are refusing a refund. Avoid

Their rewards program is horrible

They have Radisson rewards which customer service is one of the worst in the world. They don’t care about their customers and defend the company line without any compromise.
They didn’t give a damn about my case and refused to help so this is what I promised I would do.
1. They don’t have a dedicated person to a customer case. Thus I get a different person whenever I reply and the person doesn’t know the history.
2. They change rules without telling the customer. I was supposed to get VIP at the end of the year and they reset the calculator in October due some new policy. I didn’t get my VIP and they don’t care.
3. The nights ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY RECORDED. I had to fight and show the booking even though it was clearly in my app booking history.
4. Did I mention they don’t even bother to remember or address my name properly?
If you stay with them, don’t bother about their rewards program. It’s very hard to get points - almost a scam. Just stay and enjoy the hotel.

Made a telephone call to Customer Service’s Radisson Hotel to ask whether I’d paid for My accommodation or if was I expecting to pay when I arrived. It was nearly 1 to 2 months ago that I booked it to be told it’s a different department. I asked for somebody to ring me back a week later nobody rung me back . I told him I was going to write the review about them didn’t phase them at all. Stay away from Radisson Hotels if you want any customer care or Customer Service I put it down to Egypt or is it the South Africa call center? 🤷‍♂️

Radisson Rostock

Wieder ein gelungener Aufenthalt im Radisson Rostock. Sehr freundliche und kompetente Empfangsdamen, saubere, gepflegte Zimmer, ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffett mit frisch zubereiteten Speisen und netten Servicekräften, welche keine Frühstückswünsche offen ließen. Durch die zentrale Lage in der Innenstadt und dem Blick auf den Stadthafen, war es ein tolles „Basislager“ für einen Kurzurlaub in die Hansestadt.
Vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

1⭐️ is OVERLY Generous

As a consumer I try to make the most informed decisions possible, based on my research of what was on offer I made an INFORMED decision to stay at the Radisson Park Hotel & Spa based on the information provided by the Radisson app and based on The Radisson name.

In general I am shocked and saddened. This was supposed to mark a huge milestone in my life with my partner (our engagement weekend) and The Radisson have ruined the weekend and overall experience. One that we will never be able to get back without attempting to even rectify the issue.

Hotel being advertised as a Spa Hotel but it was not until after I booked that I found that:

There was no working swimming pool (no access to the pool during our stay)

The sauna was not working at time of going to the spa. Tried to find staff to correct problem but no staff at the spa desk.

Fire alarm was intermittently alarming through our stay in both the hotel rooms and in spa - not making for a very relaxing experience.

No mini fridge / bar in room as stated on the site. I am a Type 1 Diabetic so this was a very serious consideration for me as I need quick access to my medication which required refrigeration.

No robes & slippers provided as stated they would be - I told my partner these would be included so not to pack. (Little detail but all adds up given the other problems).

Waited 45 minutes after dinner to be served dessert - had to go to the bar to get our own drinks during the meal. Restaurant only had 3 other tables - not busy at all just inattentive staff.

Bar staff charged different prices for the same order multiple time.

I was advised bar would be open until 6am so we chose to stay at the hotel and not make other arrangements to celebrate our engagement elsewhere - bar staff stopped serving drinks well before 6am.

The general building was like a building site (see attached video). This was our walk to the spa - I felt embarrassed sharing the experience with my partner as I had booked this place.

Room had wallpaper ripped, damp ceilings - not well maintained.

These points are only some of the problems faced over the course of the stay, I have not even detailed everything.

Great receptionist in poor hotel

Very poor hotel Southend - didn’t have our booked room available. Gave an excuse to cancel stay - which we would have done anyway. Smelly, scruffy, tired decor. Shining light was the young man on reception (pm 20/11/24). Helpful, apologetic, well mannered & sought solutions to the problem. He deserves to work at a better hotel.

Fraudster hotel group

Do not go there! We visited in August and were double-charged. To this day, we haven’t received a refund or any response to our emails. As VIP members, we’ve never experienced customer service this poor. A lot of feedbacks are the same. This is a fraudulent scheme with a rigged machine designed to take your money. It’s impossible to communicate directly with either Radisson Vienna or Radisson Group support. The only option is to submit forms that they just forward to Vienna, with no follow-up. Despite being VIP clients, no one is listening or helping us. Even the call centre for vip members is a fraud, we can never ever make a phone call there. This group is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever encountered.

Overcharged at the Raddison Blu Sheffield.

Stayed at Raddison Blu Sheffield.

Hotel is was nice and modern, room is good with a lovely shower. Location is decent in the heart of Sheffield.

My issue is that I was overcharged and Radisson doesn't care.

Booked online through the radisson website for £94.50 after VAT. Got to the hotel and was charged £107.60. Was never informed why we were being charged additional or that the price had changed, but we had a booking at £94.50 and had even communicated with the hotel prior to staying.
Tried to chase up with the hotel who refuse to respond to my emails post stay, phoned the Radisson customer service team who said the issue can only be resolved by the Sheffield hotel, who refuse to respond to emails...

Would recommend avoiding on the basis that your online booking price isn't the price you pay when you get to the hotel and they don't respond to customers.

After reading such poor reviews I must commend Manchester Peter Street Manchester. I was given a king bed as a female with my 16 year old son, despite making it known on my status, I understand they are busy. After the first night they gave us a twin room, good result…, it is actually a very nice, comfortable hotel and staff are superb.

Dit hotel niet boeken

Mijn dochter en vriendin verblijven er nu 19 sept 2024. Helaas is mijn dochter ziek geworden en weigert het personeel haar te helpen. In paniek bellen zij mij voor hulp. Het is 3:15 in de ochtend en ze zijn onbereikbaar. Ik probeer al een uur te bellen en te mailen.
