PokerStars PA
Being in the USA and living under a poker prohibition in the states finding a regulated poker site to play on isn't easy. I have joined every poker site in PA and found PokerStars for Mt. Airey Casino to be the best option for PA players.
Positives:
The site provides a regulated and audited RNG for their deal. I have found that the deal here is the most realistic to live poker available to PA players. WSOP PA also has a good deal but far lower traffic.
Decent player pool, nothing like global sites but adequate.
Has a decent number of low buy-in tournaments and GTD tournaments, and cash games.
Negatives:
Not enough Sit & Go tournaments, with only two being listed on average at any one time. I'm a big fan of Heads Up and three-up tables with various buy-in amounts. There is usually just one with a $1.00 buy-in for heads-up play and only one 18-player table bounty S&G. I'm not a big fan of bounty hunt games due to the erratic play from people trying to KO their opponents. They do, however, have a spin-and-go 3-up tournament with varying pots to play for from $1-$25 with prizes ranging from $2-$25k.
Their Geo Tracking software gives me a hard time occasionally. It relies heavily on verifying your location by pinging other wifi sources. Since I live in a rural area which is most of PA and play from an IP generated in PA on my PC, I wouldn't expect this, but it does happen sometimes, and I get booted because they can't confirm my location. If you are in a very rural location, you may have some problems playing or be unable to play if there are not multiple wifi spots your computer can ping. I only have one neighbor that I can see their WiFi. I don't know if hot-spotting from your phone will resolve this issue. If it does (contact them and ask before joining) and you play a lot, you may use a lot of phone data while playing.
Overall: PokerStars PA is one of the best options for PA players looking to play poker online. The deal is fair and regulated, and they do have a good number of players, tournaments, and cash games.
