Had an issue with a charge controller I purchased from them. Once I was put in touch with the technical team (Joshua), they replaced the unit under warranty without issues. Can't fault these guys, won't hesitate to use them again.

Exceptional service. I changed to a lithium battery on a Inverter I purchased a few years ago and did not have a cable that suited. Joshua sent us out a cable the next day to make it all work correctly.

I thought I was purchasing from a large reputable supplier.
If you try and use their warranty tho they will use any excuse they can to get out of it.
I was informed by the Engineer Joshua that their panels commonly fail when exposed to the sun due to the heat generated and for this reason they where unable to fulfill the warranty.

Good customer service and super fast delivery. My package literally came the next day!

I have used Photonic Universe as a supplier of off grid solar panel products for some years. Recently I had some questions about some relatively low cost products. Their Product Advisor Lewis Gray provided prompt an informative responses to all my questions. I would recommend the company without hesitation.

Outstanding customer service and brilliant products. I really can't fault Photonic Universe, ordered a few inverters from them and received them in under 3 days each time! Incredibly quick delivery and not to mention free! Any issues with the set up or operation of the inverters the team helped me through! I'd definitely use them anytime I needed a solar inverter.

Had a technical problem with an item well outside of warranty (old lighting system) and had clear and detailed advice still from their tech team. Other companies often don't want to hear it when an item is no longer working out of warranty but the team still guided me to a solution/fix that could bring new life to it even though it didn't bring them a penny. I'll definitely buy from them again

Had a panel for 2 years barely used because of pandemic. It’s now lost all power, got in touch with the company and their customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Please avoid this company. There is definitely better out their. Even my professional fitter says he has a nightmare with them when he’s tried to get a brand new unit replaced.

I bought one of the 360W panels via Amazon, it got shipped from Photonics Universe to the DHL depot and never came out, after 12 days I got a refund from Amazon.
You could say this is the fault of the courier and not the the supplier, but it is still really annoying. Maybe they should choose another courier.

Photonic Universe supplied 8 semi-flexible 160W solar panels for my narrowboat. The panels were installed according to the manufacturers instructions, but within 3 years 5 out of the 8 panels had completely failed.

Photonic Universe blame this on thermal expansion and contraction from being bonded to a steel roof, however their own instructions recommend this method for use with metal roofs. They continue to ship the same instructions with new panels, and have the booklet available for download from their website.

The panels have a 1-year manufacturers warranty, and a 25-year 80% performance warranty, but apparently this does not cover the situation where performance drops to 0% within 3 years.

Photonic Universe have refused to replace the panels, or offer any meaningful resolution for this issue.

I'm aware of one other boat owner who has also experienced a 50% failure rate with the same panels.

I would caution anyone interested in buying semi-flexible solar panels to steer clear of Photonic Universe. If you are considering buying other products from them be warned that they do not stand behind their products, and put profits ahead of their business reputation.

Not happy I am a professional PV installer and purchased a 120watt rear entry panel under 2 years ago its gone faulty was told engineer would trouble shoot via email. As an installer I could not see what could be done as its stopped showing voltage out of panel. All email said is if its not showing voltage panel is faulty best they could do is let me buy replacement at a discount. I am not spending any more money with this company as a 130watt panel was £254.99 and only worked for under 2 years. The product come with a 25 year performance warranty but only 1 year product if its not generating that is surely not performing ??

Had a fault with 24v inverter after being in contact the service I received went above and beyond can not fault the service given and the inverter was sent back to me free of charge by pallet from Kent to devon which isn't cheap I work in similar trade never had the service like i received from this company the next time I need anything in the solar game this company will be my first port of call

The backup support and technical advice is the best from any company and any product. A technician called Sam is excellent and very knowledgeable with anything Solar.

I have bought 2 Solar panels over a 5 year period from this company and both times the service has been excellent! I thoroughly recommend them. Andrew

I bought a solar panel from Photonic
And - through my own fault- had a few problems. However, the technical team - and my contact Sam - were brilliant. Giving very good advice and returning emails almost immediately! Highly recommend this company.

Bought an inverter from them, then decided it was the wrong one for me and asked for a refund and they arranged it immediately without complaint.

Then asked the some presales questions which they were happy to answer, and bought their "P series" 2000 watt inverter, a big bit of equipment at a very competitive price which arrived promptly. It has worked fine - it beeps when first turned on and they were happy to offer a replacement, but then helpfully we worked out it is just filling its capacitors and working fine.

They helped me with this after sales question and then with some complicated questions about earthing, and even agreed that the warranty stated some exclusions that would not apply to me in the way I have set the inverter up.

All over perfect customer service and great equipment

What a great service from these guys, we brought 2 semi rigid solar panel 110w each both failed 15mouths later. Contacted these guys (semi rigid solar panels Only come with 12 mths Warranty) With a few tests and evidence of installation, these bent over backwards Sent out 2 brand new upgraded (120w) ones different manufacture (and they stopped using the original manufacture) There customer service is excellent I could recommend them enough. When things go wrong that’s how you judge a company. Thanks to all Photonic Universe Ltd

I have bought 2 kits and and a charge controller, had to contact them twice for advice, it’s how customer service should be and even had a defective charge controller out of warranty replaced for free.
Really feels like a company that cares

I have to say that I have been quite impressed with Photonic Universe's technical knowledge, dedicated staff and overall service.

I cannot fault a single aspect of the service or products they provide. I will be back very soon to purchase again.

I had an issue with a brand new hybrid unit. The customer service was first class, Sam who I dealt with responded to my emails within an hour or so, and was very understanding. The unit was returned for testing and Sam emailed me the results. A brand new replacement unit was sent by courier the next day.
I would recommend this company to anybody who wants good value for money which also has a customer service that is first class.
