If you care about your pet AVOID
Up to our arrival into Madrid we were very happy with the care received from PetAir Uk both leading up to our dogs flight and the service we received in London. That is where our positive experience ended.
The details given for collection were not entirely clear and there were steps missed out which led to a delay clearing customs and the language barrier proved a real struggle. When we collected our dog he was brought from his apparent ‘safe pet friendly place’ by a forklift truck in a huge warehouse! He was soaked wet through with urine (and we know he can hold for hours he is 7) in fact the cage was so saturated we had to leave to be destroyed! He was also agitated and jumpy at every little noise.
We complained to PetAir having paid thousands for what should have been a good experience for both us and our dog. The lies by Madrid Air Cargo were ultimately believed by PetAir and other than an apologetic email we were very disappointed. No taking into account the experience we received for the money paid!
I would search for a company that can guarantee a good experience throughout the entire journey and not ultimately wash their hands of you when your pet boards the plane.

Helpful Service but Concerns About Cost and Delivery
I felt that the service and communication I received from the PetAir representatives leading up to the travel date were prompt and helpful. My main concern was the overall cost, which seemed quite high for the services provided. Additionally, I was disappointed by the condition in which my pet arrived from LHR to SEA—the crate was soaked, and our poor cat was as well. To be fair, this may have been an issue with the airline rather than PetAir itself, but it still affected our experience.

We’re especially sorry to hear about the condition your cat arrived in. While parts of the journey are managed by the airline, we completely understand how upsetting this must have been and how it impacted your experience.
Your pet’s welfare is always our top priority. During air travel, pets must have access to water at all times to ensure they remain safe and hydrated throughout their journey. However, in a moving environment such as an aircraft, there are occasions where water can spill despite the precautions in place.
To minimise this, we prepare every pet carrier with absorbent puppy pads and fleece-lined bedding designed to wick moisture away from the surface using a one-way layer. This helps keep pets as dry and comfortable as possible, even if some spillage occurs.
While this is not the experience we ever want for any pet or owner, we do everything we can to balance essential hydration with comfort and cleanliness throughout the journey, and we’re very sorry that in this instance it fell short of expectations.

Amazing experience
Amazing experience, I was extremely worried about sending my 13 year old cat on a 12+ flight but I was put at ease throughout the whole process, everyone who helped along the way was super friendly and knowledgeable and answered every single one of my questions thoroughly, especially Victoria who walked me through the whole process and Sharon who took over seamlessly during Victoria's annual leave. There was a little complication regarding my cat having missed a vaccination but PetAir worked with my local vet to get it all sorted and back on track. I just moved to the UK and decided to manage my pets move from the US on my own. This meant finding an exporter, a vet, and an importer/customs agent all on my own and I’m SO happy I went with PetAir UK for my importer. I worked primarily with Megan who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She answered my many MANY questions and helped me get my two dogs across the pond despite a couple of hiccups along the way (on the export side).
I would 100% use them again for any pet relocation needs now that I’m in the UK.
Special shout out to Tony, the driver who brought my dogs from LHR to my flat. I live on a very busy street and he gladly helped me get both my dogs and their very large crates up the street and into the flat.

PetAir UK have been nothing short of amazing for transporting my dog all the way from the UK to Perth, Australia.
My consultant was Liz Blanchette and I cannot be more pleased with the service I have received. From the get-go I have been kept in the loop, informed and reassured. This could have been a rather stressful experience, shipping my boy across the globe, but Liz has kept me updated, with quick and thorough responses, explaining every part of the process and answering any and all questions I had with understanding and patience.
I received friendly and warm updates, including pictures of my dog whilst in transit to the airport from a handler named Chloe - which massively put my mind at ease. Frankie is a nervous boy and so I had additional worry for his happiness. However I have been made to feel that my animal's welfare has been paramount through this entire process - which is singularly the most important factor to me.
I was also concerned that this process was going to take up a lot of my time on top of all the other considerations of moving abroad, but that couldnt be further from the case. Liz has taken care of everything and detailed all that she has needed from me every step of the way. It was completely stress-free.

Exceptional Care and Seamless Support Moving Our Dogs from the UK to Perth 🐾✈️
We used Pet Air UK to move our two dogs from the UK to Perth, and I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough.
Our original travel date had to be cancelled when one of our dogs unexpectedly needed an operation. As you can imagine, that added a lot of stress to an already emotional process — but the changes were handled completely seamlessly. The team reorganised everything quickly and calmly, and we felt supported the whole way through.
Liz was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Her communication, reassurance, and attention to detail made such a difference. Moving pets internationally is daunting, especially to Australia with all the strict requirements, but Liz made everything feel manageable and under control.
We also had a last-minute hiccup when one of our dogs failed the lepto test and needed a retest. Of course this happened while Liz was on holiday — but Rachel stepped in immediately and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. There was no delay in support, no confusion, and no added stress for us. It was clear the team works closely together and genuinely cares about the animals and their owners.
Both dogs arrived safely in Perth, and we are so grateful for the professionalism, organisation and kindness shown throughout the entire process. If you’re relocating pets internationally, especially to Australia, you really want a team like this behind you.

From the very first phone call I made to PetAir UK until my dog landing in Auckland NZ everything was handled with the utmost care, all the questions I had ( and there were lots) were answered immediately and nothing was to much trouble, I was kept updated all the way along the process and when Henry was collected ready for his journey to NZ I received numerous pictures of him right up to getting on the plane.
