Oversold and Underdelivered — Not the Right Fit For Every Coach
I enrolled in Paul James Orlando's Business Launch Program (BLP) after being assured it was a strong fit for my profile and that the program carried a 98% success rate. Before signing up I asked for recent client success stories: these weren't shared with me, which in hindsight was worth paying more attention to.
The program content is genuinely useful and well structured.
That said, however, in the age of AI, a very similar curriculum is accessible for a fraction of the cost, so the real value proposition is the coaching support, and that's where my experience fell short.
The coaching interactions felt more scripted than personalised. When I raised concerns that didn't fit neatly into the program framework, they tended to be dismissed as weaknesses on my part rather than explored. I didn't feel my specific situation was being heard or addressed in a meaningful way.
At a certain point halfway into the program I stepped back to figure things out independently. From that moment, neither Paul nor anyone from his team ever reached out to check in.
The entire responsibility of staying engaged fell on the client. For a 6-month program with a significant financial investment of thousands of dollars, that absence of proactive support was telling.
What made this worse: the contract I signed included an explicit commitment to client success stating that support would continue if results weren't being achieved providing I followed the program, attended most of the weekly meetings and did my homework (which I did consistently). That commitment was not honoured in my experience. I have not been contacted once since early December (we are in March 2026!)
I also discovered today that my access to the program had been revoked as my six months are up without any prior notice or communication from their side.
These aren't matters of fit or expectation. They are straightforward breaches of the agreement I paid for.
I also connected with a handful of other participants who had similar experiences with overpromise and under deliverance, which suggested this wasn't entirely isolated.
Worth knowing before you enrol:
The program appears best suited to coaches in transactional niches (health, business, wealth). If your work is more purpose, identity, or meaning-led, the framework may not translate well. And if you're a beginner, I'd suggest building your foundations first before investing at this level.
The content alone might warrant 3 stars. The rest brought it down to significantly.
Far from a scam, but not what was promised either and in need of serious work in the client relationship department, specially for the price involved.
