This was my first time shopping here. I purchased a 12 x 20 carpet with binding. Ryan was great to deal with and gave me a discount. Unfortunately, the ball got dropped on sending it out to get the binding done. I called and stopped in several times and was told it was sent out and should be back Wednesday. The return date came and went for two weeks. My husband stopped to pick it up on the proposed return date and it wasn’t there. He felt like they really didn’t know what was going on. I then stopped in to follow up and talked to Ryan. I explained my frustration and wanted an explanation to what what happened. He apologized and said he would look into. I was upset as I needed it in the room for the next day. After a brief discussion, I learned the carpet was not even sent out yet for binding. He told me that he could do it in the warehouse and bring it to me in a couple of hours. This was a Friday night at 5 pm on a cold snowy evening. I told him that wasn’t necessary, but he insisted on making this right even though it wasn’t a huge financial purchase. That happened and we love the carpet. This first shopping experience there started off bad, but Ryan made it right and for that I will proudly recommend this store for your flooring needs. His customer service is over the top and is something hard to find. Again thank you Ryan for putting your customers first!!!

Carpet One put down a new floor in a renovated kitchen and a backsplash. Nicole was really helpful in picking out appropriate flooring and tiles. The workman were skilled, friendly and always on time. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend Carpet One for any flooring needs.

We had looked around Orillia and Barrie for a company to supply and install our flooring in our new home. The pricing was higher than a few competitors in the area but they guaranteed delivery faster for us and the salespeople there talked a good talk. We ended up going with Orillia floor fashion with a promise for a delivery date as it was very important to us. After the sales rep had all of our money, it turned out that the product did not come in for a month. We tried to cancel it after being 3 weeks late and they refused. Once it arrived, the installers were very unprofessional and did a very poor job. They say they guarantee workmanship but they do not. We tried speaking with multiple staff members and nothing was done. Most people who walk into our home comment on how old the new flooring looks and it has been 6 months. Pieces are lifting up. I wish we would have gone with the other companies in Barrie.

I checked with all the flooring companies in Barrie, Orillia and Durham region. Carpet one in Orillia gave me the best value on the flooring. Dean and Jessica were extremely knowledgeable about the product and learned my needs as a consumer.
Bill the installer was the best I have ever seen. I have installed flooring in my younger days to I know an artist when I see one. Bill was a pleasure to have in my home and we got along so well we had him to dinner twice. This does not happen very often with a trades man. Bill cleaned up every night so we could live in the house. Bill is the best installer I have ever seen and should get a raise.

Carpet One was not the cheapest price but the best value. You get what you pay for and I was ecstatic with end result of this project. I have recommended this company to all my friends.

Not sure if my review was posted, as it was sent by mistake before it was completed. So, I'm doing it again. We just had flooring put down by this company and we want to thank Jessica (Sales Rep) and Maurice (Moe and Josh) the Installers for being so helpful, professional and friendly. The service was amazing and it was a smooth event from purchase to installation.

The service is amazing. Jessica is super helpful and calm! Especially considering all the back and forths of choosing flooring. She helped us narrow down to a few choices (from the hundreds in their selection) and then we took the samples home. The full size samples, that is. Not the 3x3 sq inch sample that you have to BUY from Home Depot. No. The display sample. Awesome service. Can't praise enough.
The floors themselves are beautiful, and exactly what we wanted. They look and FEEL great. The vinyl tile even feels like stone. The engineered hardwood was supposed to be really hard but we've had minor scratches already. They are at the very surface, so I think it must be on the finish, rather than the actual wood. They're not really visible, though. We're really happy with the products anyway.
