So liebevoll verpackt mit einem individuellem Gruß des Herstellers...einfach toll. Und alles passt...Qualität, Größe ....Ich würde jederzeit wieder bei Novica bestellen. I LOVE the Undiscovered boxes! Whether I customize my box or they choose for me, the items are always well-crafted, interesting, beautiful and unique. I get the boxes quarterly and then use the items for birthday and Christmas gifts. I have always received good value for the money and the description cards of each item and artisan is a wonderfully personal touch. The delivery is also beautifully wrapped every time. I HIGHLY recommend Novica and the Undiscovered Artisan Box subscription!
The only problem with novica is that there are so many beautiful relatively inexpensive items that you can go bankrupt in a few minutes. Being in touch with the world artisan community is always wonderful. Thank you.
Novica has the WORST Customer Service and have technical Issues each time. For an Airmiles points bonus, the coupon had an error message and I missed points each time. Airmiles would not help as your issue. They can’t make up for a lot of Airmiles missing. They never care/helped. Never responded to my urgent calls/email to fix things. One gift was 5 months before the date, but arrived MONTHS LATE for her October birthday. She had no gift for her birthday. That ruined it for both of us. No help with sales/online coupons not working. One item took ONE YEAR due to too many problems using their Credits/Coupons. Very limited time for Managers working to fix problems. Make Managers competent and more available. It also took two weeks for urgent email to be responded to. A few had low quality problems, like not even close to the photo and not good and ignored for refunds/returns.
Work from home employees were awful. Did not understand - asked for a manager every time I called. I also sent a Facebook message requesting that Manager to fix the problems. No response.
Now last order ever! Told me most are shipped from USA warehouse. I LOVE elephants, so I bought four wooden elephants for Christmas. It was NOT their USA warehouse was AFRICA, so it was months to arrive. Calls/email asking why it was taking so long and arrived late January, my tree has only elephants, so I was upset none from you. Were not at all like photos - all looked black and from “ebony”, wood, so it is usually black. They were TINY and too small for my tree, but three were medium brown. One was darker, but still not dark like your photos. Never had them out because I planned to return them. I despise brown and my home is white and very modern, so they looked ugly. I emailed/called for return them and no response, then was told was too late to return - not my fault staff did not process the return. I updated them, as one cracked (perhaps 2 need to look in box). Of course - Africa to dry Canada, a TINY wood item would not survive. A waste of money. Was too mad to phone/email AGAIN, as never resolved problems and they ignored my Facebook complaint too. Now, it has been a few years and I get mad looking at the box on my desk and that you never respond, so YOU made me miss my return deadline - was not my fault.
Be very careful and know it is high-risk at Novica. Was great prices and now are 4+x higher with a Recession and way too many email, but I loved them for gifts. Not worth it. I just deleted about 50 email from them.

Thank you for your response, but you neglected to READ they don't respond to email, or phone messages. I spent a long time writing this and the purchase was not a lot of money, so I am done with wasting my time. Please resolve it here. YOU can copy/paste it to an email, as I can.

I absolutely love this company!!! I'm covered in bracelets and rings from this company that I wear daily!!!! They are study and hold up very well!!
I was counting on getting a beautiful handmade teak spoon. What I got could not have been picked from an uglier piece of wood. The bowl of the spoon is made from a tree that had a huge, ugly knot that takes up most of the bowl. I can't return it, as I have already conditioned the wood in the hopes the knot would improve. Instead it just got worse. I'll just use it until I can find a wood spoon I finally like, which has proven to be difficult. I'm just terribly disappointed right now.
Edit: I was promptly contacted by NOVICA about my negative review. I was offered either a refund or replacement. Assuming since I conditioned the spoons and they couldn't be returned, I gave the old ones to my mother and ordered new ones. I chose to just wait for the new spoons to see how they looked. I was delighted, of course. I couldn't be happier with the new set. I just wish I could leave pictures, because words couldn't possibly do it justice. The old, hideous spoon must have just been a glitch.

I just received a beautiful sweater by a Peruvian artisan earlier than I expected. It is good quality and exactly as shown in the catalogue. I am delighted with my purchase and its prompt delivery.
The item I ordered said it was backordered, but I received it very quickly. The bracelet is perfect in every way, beautiful, very comfortable to wear and even prettier than shown in the website. I hope to order other products from this artist.

While ordering on their website, I could not get the promo codes to apply to my order. There are 3 promos listed: $10.00/off $15Off and free shipping listed on the catalog i got in the mail. I called customer service and left my phone#. No call back from them in 3hrs! I will not purchase from NOVICA again!!!

First let me say it makes me feel good that I'm buying handmade goods from artistians all over the globe. Everything I've recieved is so beautiful and well made. I recently needed to contact there customer service in which there service team was so friendly very helpful and informative. I will definitely be shopping at this site much more in the near future.

This is my absolute favorite place to buy things for myself and friends/family!
I feel good about my purchases knowing I am supporting and not exploiting artisans around the world. They do put a lot of wrapping, but that is expected due to these hand made goods shipping from around the world, but its so amazing and special when friends open their gifts and see the little note they put inside that talks about the artisan or piece. The artisan even usually includes a little hand written thank you card.
Do not buy anything from them because they are overpriced with very cheap quality items. Customer service will never respond and none of the items is shipping from India like they claimed!! Customer service didn't respond me after 5 day until I got angry.
I sent the item back.
What a joke!

I ordered two items that totaled a little over $206. One of the items was on backorder, which was fine since I liked it and didn't mind waiting. The next day I get an email saying they weren't able to authorize a charge for one of the items (and that were both were actually in stock). I used affirm, which I like because you can set the card balance to just cover your purchase price. I noticed I also had an email from Affirm stating that total of $293 in charges were attempted which was more than the balance I set on my card. They also stated that the merchant (Novica) successfully processed the full transaction price of my purchase ($206 for both items). So I send screen shots and ask why they were attempting to charge me an additional $87. No reply, even though in their email they ask that you reply to their email to make arrangements. So I send multiple emails and don't get a response. I submit a bad review on Google and BAM within hours get a reply from someone saying they charged $119 but when they attempted to charge the remaining $87 it was declined. I attach the screen shots showing NO they ran through the full amount of the purchase for BOTH items ($206), and THEN tried to charge me twice for one of the items (the additional $87 that was declined) and asked if both items will be shipped since they were paid in full. Again, no reply. This absolutely blows my mind that their customer service is so bad they feel entitled to rip people off and offer NO explanation or acknowledgement of THEIR mistake. I have documentation showing they were paid in full for BOTH items. Their attempt to charge the additional $87 was denied because it was a duplicate charge for one of the items. Both items were actually in stock but as of today only one has shipped. If I don't receive both items I paid for and have to dispute the charges I will be pissed. You aren't keeping my money because your employees can't be bothered to do the minimum level of customer service by researching and responding to an obvious mistake THEY MADE. Stay away from this company unless you're ok with being ripped off and ignored.

This is an update on my previous review: the customer service people were able to figure out my situation and found a way to send replacements for the broken items and those that I wouldn’t choose for myself had I had a chance to customise them before they were sent out. The boxes they use are recycled boxes, but of everything is wrapped properly and there are no super heavy pointy items like the stone obelisk in my last package, there is no issue of damage. My overall takeaway is, since people who choose to support small businesses across the world, traditional handwork and local cultures, they are also likely to be really interested in the matter, it’s is not likely the company be able to customise the boxes right even if they try hard. So if you choose to subscribe to the undiscovered box, either customise it yourself or skip a box to avoid unnecessary disappointment. People have different tastes and the company provides a wide range of products to satisfy them. Just the policy of customising it for a customer to my opinion is very risky. Unless you consider this subscription a sort of “blind donation” to the company that supports and promotes traditional artist all over the world, which is of cause a very noble goal. I would also recommend the company not to send out the box until it’s customised, even if it means that by the time a person starts customising some of the items might be out of stock, which is natural and understandable after a certain official date.

The items sent were not customised by me. They were literally souvenir trinkets from a street stand or so thing? I have no idea how to use any if this trash. I stated mens focus, and purchased myself textiles in the past and I get Womens jewelry and childish figurine that I am supposed to put where? Into my goodwill donation box probably. One of the figurines, the wooden one arrived broke because someone thought to put the ceramic trinkets and a wood carving together with a heavy stone obelisk wrapping it with thin paper and shoved it into a tiny box made of flimsy carton?
