A Zoo that didn't make me cry!
We had an inspiring and strangely moving visit here today. I'm not always a fan of zoos but the animals here are clearly loved and kept with the highest welfare standards in mind. Enclosures are properly sized and reflect natural habitats as much as possible and the animals look very healthy and content. The only area where I felt a little bit sad was the birds of prey cages but given the high welfare standards on show everywhere else I imagine that the owls and falcon are given flying time outside their cages? I hope so. Other than that, I couldn't fault the place. One of the keepers who was feeding the meerkats and mongoose went above and beyond and took time out her busy schedule to speak to us at length and with great compassion about the animals she was caring for. Thanks Noah's Ark XX
