We had booked a Premier caravan at Devon Cliffs via newmans. Weeks before our vacation Newmans called to say our caravan was no longer available. We were offered a refund or alternative accommodation. Not wanting to upset the children we decided to look at available caravans. As you can imagine they were not many left. To add, Newmans heavily inflated their prices since our booking. This is where the problems started. Of the few available caravans Newman told us they would only offer us the lower spec van (which was in very poor condition). Note the price of this terrible caravan was more than we have originally paid for but they said they would honour the price (how kind of them). So to put it another way they where happy to sell us a cheaper (at least £300) caravan for more money!!! One member of staff even tried to claim it was a better spec than what we had booked (utter lies!). Even though there where better caravans available they would not offer us one - we begged we pleaded - but No they would not budge! The service from Newman was terrible. When i asked to speak to a manager they said it wasnt possible. One agent said they all work from home due to covid so cant take calls! Hang on, isnt that what the rest of the world is doing!??

Well to start off I had a phone call today from this company after having a holiday booked since 2019 this holiday was for myself and the girlfriend I was going to propose to her. Which I did at Christmas instead
The call is advising me they are cancelling it due to my age this has taken them nearly 2 years to say this but when I go on my so called planned rescheduled holiday which was fully paied for i will now be a few days off my 21st birthday which I was so looking foward too especially after the passing of my grandad and my sisters Baby in 2020
This was rescheduled due to Covid restrictions but now this company has said they are going to have to send me the money back which I'm so not happy about and would be interested if any one else has had a call from them
Personally I think it is due to costs and they can get more money by cancelling the cheaper covid holiday and get more money
I did ask for a manager but yet again they are not working today and will have to call back

We stayed with Newmans on the Ladrum bay campsite in a luxury lodge. Unfortunately we experienced a total loss of water on the Sunday evening meaning my children went to bed sandy, dirty and upset. We were unable to wash, clear or flush toilets. Tried to call Newmans for support on the emergency line without success.

The following day when newmans called back they wanted to send someone around to check on us so i waited at the caravan for 2 hour and no one turned up - Very poor.

As you can imagine this spoiled the weekend so I complained to newmans who basically we’nt interested. They initially denied it happened so i sent them the videos i had taken of no water. They then came back and said that Ladrum had confirmed there was a water problem but that it wasn’t their fault so refused to cover any of the cost of the weekend.

Overall a poor company to deal with who have questionable ethics.
