The recently upgraded app is useless and not fit for purpose. Whoever designed it should be sacked. Bring back the old one which was extremely user friendly and actually worked.

Monopolised private rail network.
5x more expensive than a plane ticket out of the country with return.
Every single platform is disgustingly dirty.
Just get a coach or plane.

Worse than before as it does not retain your usual journey means a lot of clicking in a rush and I’ve made mistakes with tickets twice now! It should remember your last journey, automatically go to todays date and time- super painful now! Even the date of experience box below doesn’t autofill!

Absolutely shambolic service these days. Greedy company constantly putting up the ticket prices for a completely out of touch service. Someone needs to step in and show them how it’s done. Laughing stock.

Went to Cardiff from bridgend with my 6 year paid 10, 30 had to stand all the way there and back yiu know it's Xmas and the weekend why not put on more carriages???? Absolutely ridiculous I'll take my car next time more convenient we were all crammed in like sardines

Awful "upgrade", often told no trains on your route in next 2 hours (rubbish) and I seem to always have to enter a via station - even for a journey on a single line between two stations that only have one station in between. When is someone going to get this back to somewhere near what it used to be which, while not perfect, was a lot better than this version?

Rubbish app and rubbish service...app crashes constantly and the trains are always delayed or cancelled with no warning and the prices keep rising. There has not been one train on time that we've needed since September and we get 6 a week. Such an unreliable service. Left my 16 year old stranded the other night in the rain...told to get off the train as all trains were now cancelled half way through his journey home from college and no bus replacement for another couple of hours after. Had to leave work to go get him.
Edit....15 Jan...last night son stuck yet again at a different station as they decided to just cancel the train after it being 30 mins to start with. No wonder people won't rely on public transport

It used to be a really good app but it has been updated and is now buggy with false data and not user friendly making you repeat selections and timing out after a few seconds. It is now useless. Go back to the old one, it worked!

The most useless upgrade to an App I have ever come across. I used the old version of the National Rail all the time, and loved it's ease of use when journey planning. Since the upgrade, journey planning is rubbish. You have to enter your journey loads of times before it decides to enter the station you want. It makes me bad tempered and angry using it, and what's more, when it finally gives me journey details, I don't trust it to be correct. It's a right pain in the bahookie to use. What are National Rail thinking. It's a right showing up to foreign travellers/visitors to Great Britain.

Why has the app been 'upgraded'? I've seamlessly used the app for years. Post upgrade I find it difficult to navigate, not intuitive in any way, keeps crashing or defaulting to start over again. Message is....'If it ain't broke don't mend it.' Now a Trainline user.😡

New app is useless, keeps crashing and much more difficult to navigate than the previous app.

Disgusting service today. I'm used to trains being cancelled or delayed due to the slightest excuse ( rain?? Come on.....) but today, Sunday.....just completely out of order
Huge delays due to train crew delays? What does that even mean???
Yet prices have gone up a huge amount on tickets, it is unacceptable, how do you justify these prices for tickets???

Utter incompetence. Total inability to run a consistent service. Deserve to be sacked. All of you!

Late or delayed trains. Just that. Travelled yesterday, first train was delayed which meant I missed my connection - a journey that should have taken 4.5 hours ended up taking 6. Today I had three connections to make, each train was delayed, which meant frantic running across train stations to try to make my next one. Missed my last train as a result. Moral- if you need to be somewhere by a given time, don’t travel by train.

Again more delays, the rail service is a joke, they say take a train to reduce the carbon footprint, the foot print is good because the trains never run, I have yet to travel from ipswich to south Wales without an issue, it's heart breaking for the people who have to use the service, unfortunately they just don't care.

If I could give it zero stars I would. It’s shameful over priced poorly run embarrassing service sat on a train for 30 mins and had to get off as they then terminated the journey.. now stuck on a platform waiting to get home

The new app it is awful, are train conductor I got problem all the time.
All The passenger are thinking the same , I hope someone in charge starting to make a good decision... the old app was much better...
