The first time was okay

The first time was okay. The driver was polite and skilled, so there were no complaints. If the consistency of their service weren't bad, I would recommend them. But the second time I was simply ignored. A driver didn't appear for some reason, and no one contacted me to apologize. They have no respect for customers.

Unsuccessful Commitments

Our company has been clients of Cars Co. since 2014, but effective immediately we will be closing our corporate account. We will no longer work with a company that fails to value their clients because of failure on their part. The event was a confirmed pre-scheduled reservation, but on the day of the pickup we learned (text messages to prove) the following statements are true. We learned that the driver of the pickup had inadvertently fallen asleep during the scheduled job.
In an effort to restore our confidence, we were offered reimbursement for another car service our client had to use in place of the one that failed. Unfortunately, since the very last email from Cars Co. in April the communications have become one-sided in our final efforts to resolve the matter appropriately.

NY NJ LIMO COMPANIES BEWARE

Beware other limousine vendors in the NY NJ Area. Alicia Hess From Cars Co is calling around looking for corporate rates and this particular time stating she works for Victoria Secret and wont give out a corporate email. Go figure I knew she was scamming. Beware all Limo companies of Alicia Hess. She is shopping all competitors rates. We should all keep ringing their phone lines, looking for rates and keeping their operators busy on the phones. 800-800-6757.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT service from Carsco Car service

My wife and I planned a trip to New York. I was unbable to go and I was really concerned about her safety, we stayed in Holiday Inn hotels before but when it came to the taxi service I was lost there were so many to choose from. I decided to choose carsco and let me tell all those reading my wife and through her I am very very pleased. They have such a family touch to there service. I choose meet and greet from the Air Port and my wife said the driver was so very polite. He met her with an umbrella in his hand just incase and open the door of the taxi then put the heater on it made her feel like I was right there with her thank you carsco for that, then he packed her bags in the car his name is Ivory. This company took things even further, I book online then called in to confirm my booking I spoke to a Sean and Eric different times they tracked my wife flight and called to inform me her flight was cancelled while she was on her way to the Air Port, because of that phone call I was able to get her on another flight in a different air port and carsco was there as well to meet and greet her again, THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH CARSCO for safe and great service. I know exactly which Car service I will choose in the future

Good Experience

The CarsCo experience was very good. Drive was about 10 minutes late however it was raining. He asked me for my credit card but I told him this was already charged to my account. He was very nice and courtesy.

Horrible Experience

This is the worst car service. Do not use this company! I booked a car service for New Years Eve. I received a confirmation that the taxi was going to be $47. 12 hours before the cab was going to pick me up, they said they did not have that car available and the price was going to triple to $110.00. That is insane. How do you extort people of New Years Eve. This company is promoting Drinking and Driving! Save yourself the time, money and aggregation and book with someone else. The custom service rep that I spoke with, Alicia Hess, was very rude and sarcastic on the phone. How do you change your prices once there is a written confirmation? On top of that, they charged my credit card $258.00 which is neither of the prices. This company is a scam.

I apologize that you feel I was rude to you just because I told you something you didn’t want to hear. Yes, you reserved the car online and the pricing came out incorrectly due to the holiday. We do not have the availability to send you a Camry for a local trip on New years for $39, we are not a borough taxi or a yellow taxi. As much as you would like for our driver to transport you after your festivities, he would like to be with his family and friends bringing in the New Year, which is why we must offer some sort of incentive and compensation for his time. We have had no other complaints regarding pricing except for yours. Our customers understand why our prices went up for today and are happy with the pricing we gave them. Other companies will not even do local trips today and if they do it would more expensive. We are not in the business of scamming people. We service hundreds of happy customers each and every day who return to use our service because of our incredible prices, reliability and our friendly office staff. In regards to the preauthorization this will drop off automatically being that the reservation was cancelled. Your husband stated that he clearly read the confirmation, so I assume he missed the part which clearly states that within 24-48 hours your credit card with be preauthorized for up 30% more than the total fare. Again my apologies, Hope you have a nice New year.

poor customer service and billing discrapencies, but cab on time

cab was on time, driver came in to pick up and was friendly. They charged my card more than quoted, and when I called to ask what the difference was, the guy I spoke to, James, was rude and disrespectful, by far the worst customer service agent I have EVER spoke to! He said I should have known that they charged for parking when the driver has to walk inside the airport, and if I have a problem with that I need to call back during normal business hours! His response when I asked what their hours are? He said, and I quote: "9 to 5 on weekdays like any other business! "ha! I thought I was on a prank call. When I said I will call back because he is providing poor customer service, he said, well i answered your question but you just don't like how i am talking. Too sad, i wanted to use their services again, but not after this! You would think he would stop after that, but surprisingly, he continued to belittle me, so i just said bye and hung up!

Really? NEVER AGAIN!

While the customer service is ok to so-so...can't say I'd ever use them again. ...I booked with them because their ad said $39 flat rate to the airport. ..then when I booked with the app, it said the total was $55ish...
THEN when it came time for the car to arrive, I saw that my card was charged $84...by the end of the trip the app said the final cost was $73.80....honestly. ..for $74, I'D MUCH RATHER get a town car for $10 less than ride in a bumpy toyot (the cheapest option available) with a child seat halfway shoved in the front passenger's seat no less (it was only me. .no children)..
I felt like I was paying nearly $80 for riding in someone's disorganized family car instead of an actual car service. ..totally not worth the money. ..especially since I had to pull up directions on my phone's gps navigation so he could figure out how to get to the airport from Manhattan & even then he kept taking the wrong turns ...Unprofessional & a compete waste of money. ..not to mention they can't even be honest about how much the ride REALLY costs upfront. ...it was twice as much as I was under the impression it would be. ..NEVER AGAIN! I'M GOING BACK to a REAL CAR SERVICE!

Our advertising as well as our website indicate that fares do not include gratuity, tolls or taxes. Furthermore we email a confirmation with each and every reservation. The email shows an exact breakdown of the charges and is clear and "easy to read". The disclaimer which is bold and in large text indicates that rates may not include tolls (as on most rides we don't know which route driver will take), taxes or extra stops etc... We also include a paragraph on the bottom of your confirmation about our CC policy (PLEASE NOTE: Your Credit Card WILL be pre-authorized at this time for approximately 30% more than the estimated fare for your trip. This is necessary to prevent charging your card twice in the event of any additional waiting time, tolls, extra stops etc... Remainder funds will be released once final charge is processed.) At the end of the ride we charge the CC and automatically send an email receipt with final charges. It is as clear as it can be. and being that we are familiar with the market and our competition we do not know of any other company that provides this information as clear as we do. Needless to say that the hundreds of clients we service every day include many of which that used to use other services and are now using us, it speaks for its self. We are sorry we couldn't accommodate your very specific needs, but we hope to see you again in the future. Evaluate your next experience with a different car service company and you will be sure to realize that we actually provide better service, at lower rates with a clear breakdown of charges before and after the ride is completed. Have a wonderful holiday season.

Excellent customer care!!!

Had to call last minute to go to airport,dispatch was very accommodating, said car will be there in 20 minutes and it was there when promised with constant texts to me to keep me updated. I was instantly pleased and happy when my driver got out and introduced himself as Marco and helped me with my bag. What a treat it was to be treated like a queen, he was attentive to my every need and chatted with me on the way to airport.I was very comfortable and the car was clean. I would definitely use them again as well as recommend them to anyone. Ask for Marco, you will be pleased!

Aweson car service

Awesome Car Service! We used them this weekend few trips from Long Island to the city and to the airport - everything went smooth, drivers were all nice, groomed and clean cars. Also prices was lower then our local car service and I love the Prius. Cool.

I booked several times always very easy to book, all your dispatchers are VERY nice on the phone, confirmations emailed promptly, text received when car arrive - clean cars polite drivers free wi-fi lower price then most car services I used before - happy I found you

Bad driver... Awful managers...with exception of Rolly

. I'm a fair person so I will say the pick up from our house to airport was fine... The trip from airport to home was an utter nightmare. After being one hour late we got picked up by the driver who looked absolutely disheveled and exhausted.. We got into the car and immediately we could tell this was not an experienced or professional driver. He drove between 40 and 55 mph in the left lane swerving getting beeped at and brighted. I asked the man multiple times "are u ok" because he did not seem to be. My wife felt nervous and almost asked me to ask him to pull over. That's not the worst part... After calling 4 times and leaving messages I finally got "management" on the phone. I said multiple times I don't even care about a refund I wanted to let u know that this was not a good experience.. So instead of him apologizing and trying to reason, he yelled over me and tried to argue with me. He kept saying u just want a free ride... I made it clear I did not care about the money.. He still yelled and tried to make light of my experience.. NEVER would I speak to any customer of mine the way he handled me. Not professional at all unfortunately I would never use this company again. I spoke to another manager named Rolly and he was very kind to our issues, he should have been the initial person I spoke to. The other guy should not be talking to customers...

Lol that's ur reply email? Wow u must not care to much about retaining new customers. What company writes back a sarcastic response to an unhappy customer? Good luck cars co. Oh and happy holidays to u as well. Well not all of u actually just Rolly

And who said the LIE is the "longest parking lot" in the world?! You claim "you didn't care about the discount" while we have an email from you stating that you want a full refund.. Sorry if you didn't feel safe in a car riding 40-55 MPR you may feel safer at 90 therefore we closed your account. Oh and btw how was the pilot on your flight back home? hope he was doing over 90. happy holiday!

Worst Service

Had a reservation to be picked up at JFK on October 11, 2014. Gave them the airline that I was arriving on and the driver went to the wrong terminal. Took him almost an hour to get turned around and get to the correct terminal. Then gave him the hotel name and after driving a long time, I ask him how much longer and he had passed my hotel and didn't even know it. I noticed the hotel on the left side of the freeway and ask him if he missed the hotel. With all this, I was late for an appointment. On the day I returned to my home, I called and talked to the owner and we agreed that I would pay the tolls and split the remainder of the cost. I hadn't even hung up from talking to him and I received an email showing my charges. The only thing that was deducted was the gratuity. I called and emailed several times after that and no response from anyone. I would never use CARSCO, Inc. again. Now I am having to dispute the charge on my credit card statement.

I would first like to apologize for the driver being in the wrong terminal resulting in you waiting for your car. For this reason, as promised by the owner we did refund you $39.46. Had you not received your credit or didn't see it on your statement you could've contacted customer service to insure the credit was issued and if needed we would've called your bank. I did double check through our terminal and yes the funds were returned to you. In regards to the driver passing the hotel, this was not because he missed your exit its simply because the closet exit to the hotel was passed the actual location. You are not able to veer off the NJ turnpike straight into the hotel parking lot. Again my apologies for the car being tardy. Should you have any further comments, questions or concerns please contact our customer service department. Thank you.

Fraudulent billing, opaque pricing

We went with this company from NYC to EWR because we got the best quote from them online. The confirmed quote was for $73.08 and when I checked my credit card bill (good thing I did!), I saw that we had been charged $110. You have to be kidding me! I called them to ask about this and they said that because my husband and I were dropped off at two adjacent terminals, this was an extra "stop" and cost another $10.

First, this is an absurd policy and if you want to keep to this ridiculous policy you should tell your customers. If I had known, I'd have gotten out and WALKED because the terminals were, I kid you not, a 3 mins walk apart. $10 to drive me that extra few feet? That's just bad business, and even worse that I had to call you after the fact to find out that I was charged for it.

Second, this should bring my total to $84.08, not $110. The guy on the phone then tells me that billing made a mistake because they though we made two stops, not one. Well, that would be $94.08, which is still not $110. You charge me for driving a few feet, but instead charge me for making "two additional stops," and even overcharge on that? I can't imagine how they think I'm dumb enough not to figure that one out.

The worst part is if I had never checked, they would have just fraudulently charged me for $37 more than I agreed to pay! Aside from this fraudulent billing, the driver's speech was barely comprehensible, and pulled up a block away from where we had agreed and insisted loudly on the phone that he had arrived. We had to figure out where he was and walk with all our luggage to meet him.

Altogether, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. We will not be using this company again.

After looking into your reservation I can see there was definitely a misunderstanding as to where the $110 pending charge (preauth) came from. Upon making a reservation with our company we require a credit card. Within 24-48 hours prior to the actual trip we preauthorize the card to insure the funds are available. (as clearly noted in the bottom of our confirmation email.) The software then calculates the amount your trip will be and then preauthorizes your card for 30% higher than the actual fare.(also noted in your confirmation email) This is done so that in the event you incurred any further charges such as tolls, wait time or stops we would be guaranteed payment for our services. After the trip is completed and final charges are processed the remainder funds of the preauthorization drop off into the account. This is certainly not fraud as we service hundreds of clients each and every day who understand our policy and have no issues with it. In regards to the stops. yes we charge for stops just as every other taxi and car service in NYC. Our services come with a price tag as does everything else in this world. Our drivers don't do favors or work for free. I apologize that you felt in some way you were over charged, however that is in fact not the case. In the future whenever purchasing goods or services you should always read your email, receipt or confirmation to avoid any misunderstanding. Should you have further questions or comments feel free to contact the customer service department directly. Thank you.

Never showed up - I almost missed my flight

Customer service first called me to say the driver was 15mn late and then called me again to say he would not come. I had to call another car service and almost missed my flight. Never again!

Not what I expected!

First if all when I went to get a quote for our needed transportation from mycarsco.com all cars showed to be black cars and then I booked a ride from JFK airport to my hotel destination which was in Brooklyn. I was quoted $54.00 TOTAL! Then I received a pending charge of $82.00 that I did not anticipate at all! I called to ask why and was told that an extra charge was to be on a pending hold to my checking account until the ride was complete, just in case we did not show up for the ride or there were any other fees such as tolls on the way. I was not told any of this and I even called to confirm the total charge. They did however only charge the total charge quoted of $54.00 after the ride was complete and this took a few days to come out of my account leading me to think that I had an extra $54.00 which I did not. And about the black car, well it turns out that all of the cars are a bright green color which the driver told us when we finally found him after we landed. He called us several times while we waited curbside with our luggage and kept saying he was right there and didn't we see him? Well no we did not see him because all of the pick up cars were black and of course I was looking for a black car. Well we finally found him and the car was pretty beat-up looking. The driver was nice, friendly and courteous but I because of all of the other factors I will never use this car service again!

Dear Debie,

I would like to apologize on behalf of CarsCo for your unpleasant experience. When booking online your first option of car class is the Prius which is Green.. when going through the reservation process after you enter in your pick up and drop out information you are brought to the next page where you can choose a car. Each car class is priced out differently and is offered to you depending on the passenger and luggage amount. Regarding the preauthorization, this is taken to insure our driver will be compensated in the event of a late cancellation, any additional stops, wait time or if additional tolls applied to your trip. This is clearly noted on the bottom of your confirmation email and not meant to be a surprise in any way. We must preauthorize as many times in the past customers will add additional wait time or stops and when it is time to charge for the trip their card is declined. However after we process the final charge we drop off the remainder funds instantaneously as we are posting to the preauthorization and not initiating a new sale. Many times the bank will continue to hold your funds being that they do not acknowledge the charge immediately as some other banks do. In regards to the state of the vehicle I will be putting in a complaint report with the driver manager to inspect the vehicle as we do not want our cars to appear anything less than how we represent them online. If in the future you should change your mind about our service I would be willing to offer you a membership discount on your trip. Again our apologies.

happy customer

i used carsco from jfk to east Hampton li the operator inform me to open my cellphone as I land at the airport.my phone ring and the driver was on the line and inform me that he is waiting for me at the airport and call him when I am ready to leave, the driver arrived 3 minutes after I called was little of traffic at the terminal but he got me but the most important the driver was professional and helpful, the fare was as we agree with no discrepancy, the fare was cheaper by $100 then other company and hybrid car, the truth I taught I will get a bit up car and I will be disappointed, but it was real was very happy ac worked I definitely will use carsco again and recommend that company good luck to you guys
