I bought an SSL 18 unit labeled as an open box item. However, when I tried to register it on the SSL website, it was already registered, suggesting it was used, contrary to the Music Matter listing. SSL customer service confirmed it had been registered four months ago. If it was just an open box, why was it registered? I received a second-hand unit and now can't access the plugins that should be included. This experience has been disappointing as I'm unable to obtain the necessary plugins.For the past three weeks, I've sent numerous emails without any reply and have called Music Matter customer service around 20 times with no answer. Trying to resolve this issue has been frustrating, as it seems they don't care about their customers after a purchase is made. I wouldn't recommend anyone to shop there.

The Alto TS415 is a very powerful speaker ,2500W output, a 15-inch woofer , sound quality is clear sharp and a good bottom end, good value for money.

Superb advice about art dj pre amp, great communication and rapid delivery. Pre amp is ace and built like a tank and delivers in spades. Very punchy with sub bass speaker. Has a high lumen blue light that looks the Business and is probably visible from the moon. Cut off switches are noticeable/effective. Great company 🔥

...have been buying from MM for some time now, thousands of pounds of gear. Their pre-sales service is excellent usually and the shipping well handled.

But recently something has started going a bit wrong...started with a pretty naff attempt at shipping packaging that an item barely survived. Fine, could just be an end of day rush.

Then I had to test their much lauded 3 year warranty after Moog told me to contact them direct about an issue...messaged via the site. No response, unusually so a week later I tried the customer service email. No response, so next was a call in...no pick-up. Might just be busy. Tried 4 more times on different days and times and no answer.

Moog/InMusic still telling me to contact them for warranty queries, so I'm stuck between a rock and hard place with a faulty synth.

Might just be an issue with in-house staff but as I've been buying from them, paying more than I would have done elsewhere because I wanted the 3 year warranty, until the after-sales customer service shows signs of improving I'm unfortunately going to have to take my business elsewhere.

If this isn't an issue for you their prices are good, their pre-sales service is great and they ship promptly if an item is in stock. Just don't expect any warranty support at the moment :(

I purchased a ssl 18 unit which was sold only as open box , as I try to register on ssl website , the unit was showing already registered which make me think the ssl 18 was second hand and not as it was stated in the specification on music matter website speaking with ssl customer service they advise it was registered 4 months I go , now if is an open box only why the ssl 18 was registered ? I was sold a second hand unit , and now I’m unable to get the plugins that comes with unit , I’m not happy at all with purchasing as I can’t claim the plugins

I have send multiple email for the last 3 weeks not response , I have call Music matter Costumer service a bout 20 times no one is picking up, to try to resolve this issue , they seem like they don’t care after your purchase , I would not recommend to anyone to buy anything from this shop , is very frustrating dealing with them

I purchased an expensive electronic drum kit from Music Matter as a birthday gift for my daughter. Within a month, the kick pedal stopped working. I understand that things can go wrong sometimes, so I contacted Music Matter via email to request support.
I received no reply.
I emailed again—still no reply. I then called the company on eight separate occasions over the following days. No one answered, and no one called back.
Weeks passed. I sent a formal complaint via email—again, no response. I followed up with a final, professional email warning that I would pursue legal action if I didn’t receive a reply. As expected—no response.
At this point, I’ve been forced to seek legal advice, which is now ongoing. All I can say is that this has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.
Please don’t make the same mistake I did—buy from a company that actually supports its customers.

Bought a XLR cable. Hasn’t been delivered. Can’t get a hold of anyone. Not very good really. Seems like a scam!!

Do not order from this site it’s a scam. I never received my order, seller will not respond to any contact. Both phone lines do not work. They’ll take your money and send you nothing.

This company has gone into liquidation, they knowingly accepted my returned item and didn't refund me my £1299 and I have just got a letter yesterday confirming I am a creditor in their liquidation.

One of the owners called me when I filed a return for my item, trying to reduce my refund by 10% just because it was an expensive microphone. When I told him correctly their returns policy did not align with what he was pushing, he started swearing at me and it was a super unpleasant call. He was even suggesting how he could do x, y and z and cause me a headache with the return and make it take ages for me to get my money then saying he won't though......and he has gone and done exactly that! I was shocked as the positive reviews did not match this.....seems the stress of the companies finances made him lose his senses as from looking at their review history it seems the anomaly rather than the norm.

I have a recording of the call but will obviously not share publicly due to privacy laws.

Now I am £1299 down but feel PayPal will sort this. I hope others in the same boat bought through PayPal and fingers crossed we will get our money back via them and not have a long process to go through to get reimbursed!

I’ve bought quite a bit from MM before and been very happy with the speed of service. However I recently needed to return an item after ten days and after three emails and now 9 days have had no response which is a bit strange and rather unprofessional.

UPDATE: They went into liquidation two days after my purchase. They are still selling equipment without noting this on their site.

Initially the help I received from the salesperson was great, they were knowledgeable helpful and patient, I spent over £1000. I now have a problem with the the PA system, it's overheating and venues won't allow me to use it. I rang and spoke to a different person who was dismissive, he told me to email which I did and that was over 10 days ago, I've emailed several times and tried to call but the call just gets cut off. I feel they were happy to sell me goods but don't want to know now there's a problem, Ive now raised a dispute with PAYPAL as i'm not getting anywhere trying to contact them directly which is a shame because the person I spoke to originally was very helpful, but to me service should be end to end !

They not answer my enquiries , waiting answer since 30/7/2025 , DPD return my order to the seller and they not answer any call or email to try solve the situation! Anyone can try call the company and never will be able to communicate with a person , always say busy, probably amateurs running a company think this is smart , they looks are waiting complete 30 days to avoid refund the money !

Music matter instruct the courier to return to sender after one attempted delivery - I didn’t get clear updates and for most people they will be in work during weekdays - then charge £20 for redelivery. This seems like a stealth charge - I may ask for a refund but unsure if they will still charge the money. They don’t answer phones or emails.
