Very professional, thoughtful and responsive. This was my third project with them and I will be doing more.

Music Gateway is the real deal! Was a bit skeptical at first but they were super responsive and managed to get legitimate traction on my music in just a couple of weeks. Would highly recommend! Their A&R team is excellent!

Randomly charged £25 to my bank and will not respond to my email in over 2 weeks. Definite scam and insanely sketchy, stay away.

I have a problem with a pending release on MG, and I have been waiting a week for it to be released, even though I was told everything was in order. (It's not my first release on MG, so I know what to expect usually). It is not a normal situation in that I had to replace the audio on the release on the day before it was due to be released, but I followed the instructions and was told the release would go ahead after a couple of days. That was a week ago.

I appreciate that my last minute change to the release was not MG's fault, but my beef is that I cannot get anyone to respond to my e-mails to tell me what's going on, i.e. the song is still not released, even though nearly a week has passed, and we are heading for bank holiday weekend in the UK where I'm guessing no-one will be available!

It's a shame. I like MG. No, they are not perfect, but they are no worse than the other platforms and offer some good additional services. However, this situation is especially frustrating when they are keen to take money to help your career with song promotion, etc., but cannot help me resolve the embarrassment of having announced a release to the world on social media and radio, but have it still unavailable! Even Spotify were able to respond to me, and I am still waiting on MG. They should commit to a deadline for support responses or give penalty payments to their clients.

Usual scam. They ask you for a card. They keep it. Even if you delete your account they issue you a warning of charges. You go and try to stop it. Well, you only option is to create an account! They look your Spotify profile and there you get it. New profile, charge in advance with no authorization. They force you to delete your account. You do it and they charge a second time.
Super YIKES.

I'm another victim of their fraudulent scheme by changing their free plan to a paid plan by their own accord and taking money from every single person on their free plan. People joined to be on the free plan. If they wanted to pay they would of been on a paying subscription. You got bank details from us all by saying it's not to charge us and is only used for identification verification purposes for protecting of fraud. You have no rights to take out our money without our consent especially when we haven't used your site in years or not even used any service on your site. Now you have to give refunds to many and on top of that you lose many potential future customers as we have to delete our account to not get charged again. That's not a good business strategy is it and now you are desperate to try and get rid of these reviews in exchange of a refund. Yes, I have seen a lot of what others have been saying and I believe them especially when I've also been getting charged without consent. This is really bad and you have created a very bad impression on your company in the music industry now. This was a quick temporary money grab trick by you but it's going to make you suffer long term. Treat the potential customers well is the idea but no. You want to push them away by using these dirty tactics and encouraging us all to delete our accounts so no one will be using your site then. This is your own fault! Your email on your site is no longer monitored it says when I email support for a refund and when I try to speak to an agent there is none available and I'm stuck with a clueless chatbot that can't really help me.

Update next day I got a customer service response via email and said to delete my account but nothing about my refund request.

I've replied to the email about that it's unauthorized transactions and expecting a refund.

I'll let you all know the outcome.

Update the day after received a response and they issued the refunds quickly. Unfortunately for security measures my bank put a block on music gateway so the refunds declined. Now I have to unblock and reached out for them to retry issuing the refunds again. I will update you all appropriately.

I signed up for the free plan. Then they sent an email saying that they were replacing the free plan with a paid one, which I ignored. They charged me £17 without my consent. I deleted my account, yet today they charged me £70.
It's basically impossible for me to remove my credit card details from their site, I have sent them an email but I don't know if they'll even respond.
Please do not use music gateway, they are scammers and will take your money

Complete Scam. On 20th March I was charged 19 Euro by Music Gateway. I never chose their pro plan, i was automatically upgraded from free to pro plan and they emailed me with promotional offer to upgrade which I ignored.
Today I checked my credit card transactions and they automatically upgraded my free plan to pro plan and charged me without my consent. This is gross misuse of my personal info and I request a refund asap from them since I never used their services after creating the free account. During free sign-up they say the credit card details is just for verification.

Edit: After multiple requests and talk with the customer care I have been able to get it cancelled and refunded. So, I'm increasing my review to 3 stars. The problem is that once you collect card information on the pretense that it's just for verification, it should stay as that. Changing terms and plans after 3-4 months, when the user has completely forgotten about the millions of services we subscribe to, is very improper. You can either provide a limited trial clearly mentioned during sign-up, after which users know for sure they'll be charged, or you cancel the account altogether unless the user pays.

Music gateway gave me honest feedback and an opportunity to get my music out to more ears! Thankful for such a great company helping to promote indie music!

Customer service was great and fixed my problem quickly. I find the company to be very honest and reliable.

Professional team, the website is straight forward & super easy to navigate around / upload metadata.

Sophie who saw to my case from the accounts team went above and beyond to help me with my case and it was greatly appreciated!

The company offers a good service for artists, a lot of useful components in one place.

I was particularly impressed by the aftercare support by Sophie, she really helped me out on the technical side and was personable throughout.

Signed up for a free musicgateway account in 2024 and planned to check out the possibilities later. I had to enter credit-card, but they promised to use it only as kind of identification / anti-fraud.

In March 2025 suddenly I noticed musicgateway had debited by credit card without any notice to me. Asking the support they told me they changed their plans removing free-plans - without any notice to me nor to decide if I want to change into paid-plan.

I asked the support for refund multiple times - no reaction! Obviously they are only looking for quick money and have no scruples risking credit-card frauding. I've never signed up nor agreed to paid plan nor to use my credit-card for this.

Also there is nowhere an invoice for the debit that music-gateway made. Neither the login nor support provided a valid invoice to me for my company!

Answer to reply of musicgateway from May 13th 2025

1.) I never agreed to a paid subscription plan (signed up for free plan) which has then been changed without notice to me.

2.) I've already asked for invoice. Its nowhere in account (which I had to close to avoid further costs). All mails and asking for invoice where never answered.

3.) I already requested for refund by e-mail to support@music***way.com and also by web-form for refunds.

They have never been answered nor there where any other reaction.

4.) I see hundreds of users being left with similar credit card usage without their notice here on trustpilot.com and google maps user feedback to MusicGateway.com.

I can only advise to all users being scammed like this to file a complaint with the police and charge back the credit card!

We have been working with Music Gateway for just about a year now and they have proved to be a great team and they have really helped us navigate our way around music promotion and distribution. They are knowledgeable and supportive and we also now get very helpful post campaign statistics to help us improve and refine the strategy for future releases. We look forward to our continued collaboration over the coming months!

We recently worked with MG on a Spotify Promotion Campaign and we are super happy with the results. To the point where we have decided to move our distribution over to them as well as working with them on much bigger campaigns for the near future. Great Communication and Customer Service
