I just have to say that Moss Bros Reading gave outstanding service to my nephew visiting from New York for Ascot, Royal enclosure. They were far more helpful and courteous than Windsor and Bracknell.... Näytä lisää

My wife bought two jackets one of each…

My wife bought two jackets one of each size for my son to try on and send the one back that's not the right size. She attempted to return the Jacket 16 days after purchase but they won't accept it as their returns policy states 14 days. What difference does 2 days make? We are now down £160 in a time that is not ideal to say the least financially for us. When we explained this to Moss they kept referring us to the returns policy. Poor customer service.

Bad quality

The company has clearly gone through a rebrand and their stuff and stores look great but I’ve now chosen not to shop here as three pieces of knitwear and two shirts have all shrunk and look tatty after one wash.

Liverpool store bad attitude staff member

Anyone been to the Liverpool branch Holy christ the salesman who works in here extremely bad attitude even a work mate as I'm telling him had the same experience just recently extremely bad attitude clearly hates customers and his job look at the comments clearly a problem staff member in here unbelievable his colleague on the other hand couldn't stop apologising for this mess of a man Google reviews all point to this same staff member and the owners do nothing slaters for all your suits excellent store with superb staff

We have been shopping for a toxido suit…

We have been shopping for a toxido suit at the Meadowhall. Emma was extremely helpful, She supported us with expert advice, check sizes in detail, helped with choice of a white shirt and a bow tie.

NO SUITS THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING.

After being incompetently measured by a member of staff, when the suits turned up only 2 out of 5 fitted. The contract we signed stated that, if suits didn’t fit, we’d get the replacements with next day delivery. What they DON’T tell you is that the warehouse that sends them is only open Monday to Friday. So no next day delivery for us and they told us that the suits would arrive the day before the wedding.
When that day arrived, we received an email at 11:30am from customer service (we were about to leave to go collect the suits) telling us that there had been a problem with shipping and the suits wouldn’t be there until the following day. OUR WEDDING DAY. No call. Nothing. And no answer from the Colchester store either when we, in a panic, tried to get in touch with them.
When we finally managed to speak with someone from customer service, one of their top solutions was for my fiancé to go pick them up from another store in the morning. As if that is an acceptable offer to ask the groom to drive to another city on the morning of the wedding doing their job for them when the ceremony starts at 12:30pm.
The situation was just about saved by a member of staff who had been pulling bits and bobs from other orders to find the items they needed for us. However, they still preferred to leave us in the dark instead of contacting us to say they were working on it.
Aside from all the issues we had with the Colchester store, Moss’ customer service is a joke. We got in touch with the customer service team after the wedding to ask for some kind of compensation. They said they’d look into it (almost implying that the problem wasn’t theirs all along) and that they’d be in touch within 72 hours. 11 DAYS it took them to actually grant us a reply.

Abysmal service, from start to finish. You’d think that paying all that money would help get the stress off of you rather than adding more on.

Excellent, attentive service

I came back to Cornwall to celebrate youngest sons wedding. This was to be a country casual affair and needed a linen jacket, shirt and chinos. My first port of call was Moss in Truro, I was assisted by Kingsley, I made my selection but found that the jacket was too long in the sleeve. Kingsley stated that an alteration would normally take one week but as I only had three days before the wedding he would do his best....and he did, I collected the jacket on the morning of the wedding, it fitted perfectly and was commented upon very favourably. I would like to praise Kingsley on his friendly and professional approach, I felt cared for an valued as a customer and cannot recommend him more highly. Well done Moss, you have never let me down.

Disappointed

Extremely surprised that a £600 suit doesn’t come with a complimentary suit carrier. Not a good customer experience and will certainly affect my decision around shopping with Moss again

Made-to-measure suit. Very disappointing. Very bad.

Very disappointing experience with Moss. Despite paying for a made-to-measure suit, Moss failed to deliver both the product and service I paid for. The measurements were taken incorrectly, the alterations were also wrong, and the resulting suit fit poorly. The sleeve length discrepancy alone was enough to demonstrate a clear failure in workmanship and quality control.

What made matters worse was the lack of accountability. Rather than acknowledging and resolving the issue, staff were dismissive and relied on excuses. Whether the suit is described as "bespoke" or "made-to-measure" is beside the point—customers have a right to expect accurate measurements, a properly fitting garment, and competent service.

A frustrating experience that wasted both my time and money. Sub-standard workmanship, poor customer service, and no meaningful effort to put things right.

Made a 30 minute fitting appointment…

Made a 30 minute fitting appointment for my husband at the Trafford centre store for a suit for our vowel renewal. To say the appointment was a joke was an understatement. Have used Moss bros previously over many years for my sons and others wedding and always got a great service with truly personal touch. Today we arrived and it was clear, it was anyone who was free of the young staff would step in. They have very little knowledge or care. 30 min appt, what what appointment!!! we were left to check the items out ourselves with a young assistant stepping in here if there. We were shown a pathetic hand rail with a few suits on and told this was the only choice to hire, absolutely appalling! We drive 40 minutes to this appointment and left with nothing! Sorry Moss can only think you’ve changed ownership and got the service strategy all wrong! People mainly go here for special occasions in their lives and be greeted total indifference made us both quite upset. The staff are far too young and inexperienced in this specialised service. Do yourself a favour Moss before you become the next high street store to close and disappear without trace, because now I’m looking at other reviews, most people have an unhappy experience in your stores. Wake up and change your atrocious service!!

The first professional who helped me in…

The first professional who helped me in the shop was great, but everything after that failed. This is now my second poor experience at this store. A 10-day window was not enough time for Moss Bros to order and alter a suit. When I reached out to customer service, Savanah completely ignored the points in my first email and instead made excuses rather than fixing the issue. I had to take extra time off work just to go back to the shop for a refund, and I ended up buying a suit from Slaters instead. I cannot recommend this brand.

Leaving a three star as prior good…

Leaving a three star as prior good experience’s but this one had been beyond painful.

I ordered three items(2 shirts and a jumper) the jumper didn’t arrive just the shirts in an ultra tight package(unlike any from them before) and very happy with the shirts as I have been with previous pieces purchases.

The shirts were there but unfortunately no jumper.

I’ve been reasonable and patient but the previous goodwill has run out.

The last email after I had chased yet again essentially was lazy and uninformed from a person I had never dealt with that clearly had an inbox to clear.

It’s only £30 but the hassle and sheer annoyance at something that would have been simple to fix is now beyond me.

If you order from here be prepared for pot luck delivery and service.

Severely disappointed.

They do not know Menswear.

Where do I even start? They state on their website they do custom made. I booked an appointment, went to their nearby store and saw that most of their suits and tuxedos follow the modern trend of low-rise trousers and thin lapels. With it being 'custom made' I asked if they can do my tuxedo with a high rise trouser, straight leg and they said no because they have to go from presets. Yikes.

I then asked about the jacket. If you know the basics of menswear you'd know that tuxedos do not have a notch lapel, vents or are more than one button. They said they could not do anything about the lapel or the vents.

Why is it advertised as custom made? The lady serving me was so lovely but I will not be going to Moss again and I urge everyone else who has a shred of respect for themselves and proper style not to go either. Terrible company.

The sales assistants Kiyan and Aaron…

The sales assistants Kiyan and Aaron were absolutely brilliant at the Trafford centre store, although there was a problem with an item it was down to the Trafford centre and not moss, he saw that the item would be delivered instead, not often you get that customer service, 5 stars to Kiran and aaron

Go anywhere but Moss

You only have to read the number of 1* reviews to see that this is a company wide issue. Book an appointment at Meadowhall, Sheffield absolute chaos. At least three separate people saw to my husband to hire a suit, asked the same questions multiple times
Email arrives to say suit is ready to collect in Manchester. Finally managed to speak to someone to be told they could get it to Sheffield but not sure how long it would take. Due to the absolute chaos in the shop we decided to head to Manchester. Told assistant we were here to collect a suit, she disappears into the back returns with suit in hand gives it to us and walks off nothing else said. He did decide to try it on on the shop, still not 100% sure we have the correct shirt. Packed it back into the bag and walked out of the shop. No details taken from us to the point the shop in Arndale centre aren’t even aware we have taken it!! Good job we are honest people!

DO NOT BUY SUITS FROM HERE

Do not rely on Moss / Moss Bros whatever they have tried to rebrand themselves as. My partner ordered his wedding suit from here, as well as his best men's suits. He booked an Appointment at the Trafford Centre Store for them to try suits on ahead of them purchasing. My partner informed me that the 'appointment' was absolutely shambolic, the guy who was supposed to be running the appointment was dealing with other people/ walk ins and were leaving them all waiting for 30 mins at a time. There was absolutely no point in actually making an appointment there. My father also informed me that he received the same treatment at the Sheffield Meadowhall store. When my partner went to pay, they informed him the printers were not working so couldn't provide him with a copy of his order or a receipt - they did not provide an email copy either.

Forward 4 months and it comes to collect the suits. My dads suit that was purchased in Sheffield was sent to the wrong store - Manchester Arndale and therefore had to travel to collect. My partner then collected his suit and the sizing was completely wrong - they have messed up his order entirely. Baring in mind, they told him he had to collect 4 days before the wedding. Now we are 4 days out, with a suit that would fit someone double his size. No real apology from the manager in the Arndale store, just 'well we are better than the trafford centre shop, you should have come here for it' - what a joke. The staff in the Arndale store didn't even update their system to say my dad had collect his - so they are as useless and shambolic as each other.

Absolutely appalled the service and complete lack of organisation throughout multiple stores of Moss / Moss Bros. Save your time, money, and stress and order your special occasion suits from literally anywhere else/

Very disappointing experience with Moss…

Very disappointing experience with Moss Bros suit hire for a family wedding.

From the initial fitting, the service was poor. We weren’t able to try on the correct items, and the alternatives provided were nowhere near suitable. Staff seemed unsure and unable to give clear guidance, which didn’t inspire confidence at all. The overall professionalism in-store was also lacking — staff were dressed very casually, and one was drinking from a large energy drink can during our appointment, which felt inappropriate for what should be a formal fitting experience.

There were multiple issues with administration too — incorrect sizing was entered despite being checked, and the store recorded the wrong email address, meaning I never received a notification that my suit was ready. We were also given incorrect information about when the suits would be available, which added unnecessary stress close to the event.

Although the issues were eventually resolved in time, the overall experience was disorganised and far below expectations. For something as important as a wedding, the process should feel smooth and reliable — this was neither.

I also raised these concerns with customer services, but the response was generic and failed to properly address the issues raised, which was equally disappointing.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t use Moss Bros again or recommend them to others.

Booked an appointment with Moss…

Booked an appointment with Moss Chatham, specifically for suit hire for my son’s prom, not to buy a suit. When we arrived, it quickly became obvious it wasn’t really a personal appointment at all — it felt more like a sales push.

When I mentioned that I had booked a hire appointment, the assistant said he could only see it as a general appointment in the system and not specifically for hire. He then pointed us towards around 10 random hire suits in random colours, many of them looking very worn, and basically said “have a look there”. There was very little interest in actually helping us.

Even when we said we were open to looking at suits to purchase instead, the service didn’t improve. The assistant kept disappearing, and the measurements he took felt completely pointless because he was bringing random sizes that were clearly far too big or too small.

The whole hire service felt like an afterthought and honestly a bit of a joke. In the end, for almost the same price as hiring, we bought a brand new suit from Next , with far better service and no hassle.

I won't order online again because Moss use Everi

I bought a pair of navy linen trousers online, and as soon as I saw the the dispatch company "Everi", I knew I had to make sure I would be home when the trousers are out for delivery. So on the 16/05, I received the notification that it will be delivered on that day between 1 and 3 pm. So I was waiting for the bell to ring but unfortunately I received an email saying it was delivered. I went rushing downstairs and luckily I found the parcel left outside my building (I was lucky to find it because usually there were situations where stuff went missing or stolen when left outside). Moss could have easily offered other delivery options but they don't. One thing for sure is, I won't order from Moss again simply because they use Everi.

I went in to moss to buy a suit for my Prom

I went in to moss to buy a suit for my prom and Saheed was always there to answer questions and was helpful throughout the whole process, Saheed went above and beyond and I would recommend this store and Saheed himself to anyone looking for a friendly and helpful staff member to buy a suit, I will definitely be coming back!
