Great software
Great software, easy to use, intuitive and well priced. I can't say I've had the same experience with customer service than others, but I do run a payroll bureau and know the job. When I have had to call it is usually something important and not queries on to how to calculate payroll or software functionality. On those occasions I have had to call I have found customer service very helpful. I have used it now for over 10 years with hardly issues. I also use another industry leading software on behalf of a client that costs 3 times as much and I have constant issues with their buggy system.

Poor helpdesk support - I'm changing software
I had a problem with running weekly pensions on a monthly RTI. aside from the annoyance of ringing a premium number, I spoke to 3 separate helpdesk staff. The first spoke to me impatiently, as if she had far more important issues to deal with than me. The second person was boardering on rude. And the last person was helpful but clearly impatient and didn't really want to deal with me. This is not the first time I have rang and had this kind of issue with the staff.
At the end of this payroll year I'm changing software suppliers!!
Amazing software
Amazing software - i know some people complain about the customer service but you get what you pay for. Value for money is exceptional. Been using it for years and recommended it several times over

I have used Moneysoft payroll for many years without any significant issues but my experience of their support has always been very good. Today I had problems downloading an update and received a reply to my email inside 25 minutes. The advice was bang on.
Atrocious customer service …
Oh my gosh I didn’t find these reviews when I was choosing my payroll software ! So bought Moneysoft and now I am having some issues setting it up. Tried the helpline and the guy who answered pretended there was no one on the line and hung up ! No idea what to do now this is such a shame as I need to get set up and run this months payroll urgently. What a mistake !
Support is useless
Have been using Moneysoft for years. Fine when it is working but as soon as anything goes wrong the support is dreadful. George McHamish avoids responsiblity and blames it totally on the user.
I suddently cannot send payslips to employees for no apparent reason.

Stopped sending payslips to employees. I complained and got an email. It doesn't make a head or tail. Very frustrating. I am looking for a reliable software.
Poor customer support
I have used Moneysoft for two years and was happy with the program. I renewed my licence in November, from that point my program became a sample, wiped all my previous data. I phoned moneysoft twice followed their instructions. Input all my emplorees information again, only for it to wipe it again taking it back to sample payrole.
Whilst making the two calls i had my mobile barred as the two short calls cost £12 taking me over my spend limit.
No 0800 or 0300 numbers only 0845 to use.
Now left with either making another costly call, as i don't believe an email will provide the answers.
I think it is time to leave Moneysoft.

I have got in touch with the company and seems like they have changed their policy, especially on customer service.
sent them another reminder and even after 3 weeks no reply.
Very rude behaviour and will not be renewing their subscription coming year. Avoid

A BIT DISAPPONTED WITH THE LACK OF SUPPORT FROM THEM. THE REPORT OPTIONS ARE VERY LIMITED AND GIVE OUT INCORRECT INFORMATION EVEN ON BASIC REPORTS. TRIED TO POINT OUT BUT DOESNT SEEMS THEY ARE PREPARED TO ACKNOWLEDGE OR CORRECT.
Expiration of support on windows 7
in MAY/APRIL this year my version of moneysoft's payroll without any warning ceased to work! I had paid my subscription in February so I wrote to the support department for a refund up to August 2021.
their reply was "We do not do refunds in those circumstances"!
even though they took my licence money and stopped the software a few months later working on windows 7, I knew I had to upgrade at some point but it was like having the rug pulled out from under you.
I am evaluating BrightPay at the moment which BTW still works on windows 7, after a shocking year of COVID and the effect this has had on my business I did not need to buy a new machine install windows 10 just because money soft decided to cease support.
they could have given a warning before the next licence renewal or a couple of years warning like Microsoft do on the O/S itself.

The rare occasions that I have had a problem that I've not been able to resolve myself through the Moneysoft website, I have found George to be perfectly helpful either by e-mail or by phone.
This has been the worse software used
This has been the worse software used, the staff are unhelpful, it’s just not an efficient software please pay a little more and find a better software ie safe or even quick books to avoid unnecessary constant hassle and pooor support from them.. technically they should t even be allowed to trade i believe
Great software but licence expiry is a major issue
I have been using payroll manager 100 in my small accountancy / bookkeeping business for several years now.
From a functionality point of view it is easily the best payroll software I have used compared to the likes of Sage and Pegasus.
I cannot comment on support aspects since I have never had the need to contact Moneysoft for this.
However, the biggest fundamental problem with the software is the licencing. If you purchase a licence at the start of the tax year, it will expire the following 5th April.
This means you will be unable to perform payroll tasks such as submitting P11Ds by the July deadline, unless you purchase a licence for the following year.
This is just plain wrong since you should be able to perform all payroll tasks for a particular tax year by purchasing a licence for that year.
Another nail in their coffin is that after the most recent software update, a message popped up to say that it will not run on Windows 7 after May 2021.
The price also increases quite substantially each year and for these reasons I have only given 3 stars and will be looking at alternatives for the 2021/22 tax year.
Been using money soft for accounts for…
Been using money soft for accounts for a while now. Had a problem today with vat return/mtd and called customer support. I guess my problem was simple for him but he was helpful, informative and talked me through what I needed to do.
The George Mc Hamish experience
We have experienced the same as previous reviews. Our organisation has been with moneysoft for over 10years and have had the occasional 'pleasure' of speaking to George! his attitude is to be unhelpful, abrupt and obnoxious, I can only imagine he lives alone and has no friends. He is there to support his customers when they need help not make them feel that they are inconveniencing him by contacting moneysoft. Because of the lack of IT support, and a nightmare to get any information or support, our organisation are considering cancelling with Moneysoft.

Poor Support, terrible business attitude!
Despite never using the software due to being hospitalised for months due severe health conditions, the support from the managing director George is terrible, unprofessional and he has simply poor manners. Surprising that someone can give such a horrible arrogant response to another persons severe health problems, not to mention running a business
I can't comment on the actual ability of the software as I purchased it but never used it but beware if you do purchase It , your unlikely to have any help on the other end if you need it!
