Very high level advice - nothing that I hadn’t already picked up from their web site. A financial advisor is a better bet, particularly for some pension types, e.g., final salary/defined benefit.

Answers to my questions were given clearly, helpfully and straightforward.

I was so glad I got in touch with Money Helper. The advisor dealt with my State Pension dilemma with ease, was very professional, and knew exactly what steps to take next, and showed a lot of empathy and consideration on how to deal with it. I believe the advisors help took a lot of pressure off me, and I felt relieved that at least there was someone who I could refer to and resolve my issue promptly with the greatest respect, and try out different solutions until we get a positive result!

Called for urgent information on my UK private pension. Appointment to speak to someone in 4 weeks but you can go online. This was a waste of time. Automated messages then you can ask a question and after 20 minutes of no reply I gave up. Had to use a Chat GPT to get some ideas but this is not UK and it’s scary how badly served UK pensioners are. No wonder they are an easy target for scammers. The Government should be ashamed how useless these so called public services are. Wake up UK and look after us old folk :(

Definitely recommend. Really good unbiased advice. However, i gave a 4star because, I have come across advisors who know “their stuff” but not all are good at explaining their knowledge in layman simple terms. Room for improvement.

The questions I was asked were all relevant to my pension enquiry and it was explained to me, at the begining, what the appointment would consist of. It was conducted in a friendly and professional manner and I was put at ease. All my queries were dealt with and I was told what my options were. At the end of the appointment I had a lot more idea of what my next steps should be and felt that I had a lot more knowledge to go forward and sort my pensions out. Afterwards I received an email with a breakdown of what we had discussed, which is very handy.

This is my 2nd time using the Moneyhelper pension advice service, this time only for guidance on one specific question. The advisor, again, was excellent and listened to the full question before giving me the correct clarification. I came away confident that the advice received was correct, where my actual pension provider was ambiguous.

The agent was very knowledgeable and she helped be navigate through my issue and brought up other ideas I had not thought of. She was very good at checking websites for information that was relevant to my case and together, we were able to list possible options I needed.
