Mixergy Arvostelua 

We have been running our mixergy cylinder with a heat pump and solar panels for around 3 years now. We have a 300 litre cylinder together with an Eddi solar diverter diverting power to the immersion heater when less than 3.5kW is surplus, and operating the heat pump when that is exceeded.
The great thing about the mixergy cylinder with solar power is that, even when only 10% hot water is available, the water at the tap is hot. In our previous setup with a conventional cylinder the water would have been barely warm at this point.
When the heat pump is used the efficiency is high, so our expenditure on hot water is minimal.
Technical support, when needed for teething problems, many caused by us, has been superb. Problems have been quickly and courteously solved, and when, on one occasion, a part was needed it was shipped quickly without a quibble.
An excellent product from a helpful company.

Fantastic kit keeping our home warm since 2 weeks ago. The 200+ litre tank is connected to a heat pump so has allowed us to eliminate our boiler - so no direct CO2 emissions from our home anymore, which is a great sustainable achievement for our family of 4. On top of the heating, we have got rid of header tanks in the attic so now we have more storage space than before. The Mixergy tank givers us better pressure for our showers than those tanks. All starts for tech ology!

The team was super helpful, helping us decide what was right, guiding our installer and super available either on the phone or visiting the site.

regarding my Mixergy plus care plan and ask if someone could please contact me and advise why the annual subscription was not taken in March as had happened in previous years and which I paid on 8th November to make sure that we are covered
heard nothing back after 24 hours so contacted them again with an assured that someone would come back to me. Again no attempt made to contact me

I just wanted to know why payment was not take in March as I did not cancel if it was an automatic renewal of receive a reminder to pay in March.
If I would have had an issue with my tank out of contract what would the consequences have been.
Was the tank remotely serviced and checked in March

I need answers to these questions

but still to date no clarified regarding our situation with them unknown, And they still have failed to respond to my request for a call baclk

The impression given is that they dont really care about their customers once the have sold you the system and customer aftercare is non existent

I needed to top up the water pressure in our Mixergy tank recently. I called the company, explained the situation and expected some basic guidance, particularly as the tank is new and still under warranty.
Can you believe they told me I have to hire a plumber just to do this simple top-up myself? That's completely unacceptable for a product that's supposed to be a smart solution.
Honestly, I'm so fed up that I'm going to rip this Mixergy tank out and throw it away the first chance I get. This experience has been unbelievable. I wouldn't recommend this company or their solutions at any price. Save your money and time.

We have had a Mixergy tank for a little over three years and it has proven its worth. Monitoring energy usage each month, it and a more efficient boiler has saved us money, even taking price increases into account. A minor connection issue was solved over the 'phone today. My lack of technical knowledge was no obstacle as I was taken step by step in diagnosing and resolving the problem. Thanks to R** and R***. A first rate system from a firm that provides first rate service and highly recommended.

Would really give a 0. Have tried all day to make 'phone contact with this company without success. Left message for call back, at their suggestion,no response.

We have ordered two separate systems for a solar water tank, one of the CT clamps was faulty, we have gone through hours of checks and the issue is still not resolved, 100% would avoid there product after service care is not worth the upside.

We have Mixergy hot water cylinder fitted to Solar Thermal and this has worked brilliantly and proven to be reliable over 2 years since installation

However if you do have a problem with your Mixergy tank then their Mixergy Care plan is complete waste of money.

We have now on two occassions had to call upon Mixergy to repair a faulty wireless card, which left us without hot water for 2 weeks. The immersion heater element has now failed on our tank. This was even highlighted by Mixergy that on quarterly care plan but no action was taken by them. We have since reported this on Friday 17th October 2025 and we still haven't been contacted by anyone at Mixergy.

The failure of providing after sales maintence support does seem to a fundermental problem for Mixergy.

If Mixergy could resolve this problem then I would personally have no problem in recommending their hot water cylinders.

We’ve had a Mixergy tank for a little under 5 years, and it’s worked very well throughout. I recently had an issue with the connection to the router, but Mixergy sent the replacement plug-in without quibble and for free. It was a nice gesture, and reflects well on them overall. I’d recommend the tank and system.

I've had a Mixergy tank since Dec 2024. Whilst the product is good their support service is absolutely atrocious. I pay £80 a year for their extended warranty and it doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference in being able to get hold of anyone.

I have literally spent 3 months trying to contact them to answer some queries on the solar divert but never had anyone call me back. The people that log the ticket are unable to divert calls so they always say that someone from the "Higher Tech Team" will call me back but they never do. I eventually ended up emailing the CEO of the company with my questions and even he never got back to me.

That was 3 months ago, I ended up giving up on that. However, now I'm at the stage where I'm having a problem with my immersion heater whereby it's periodically cutting out and then coming back on. It's been 4 days and no response.

Pretty atrocious behaviour for a product that is not just in warranty but I'm also paying an additional £80 a year for insurance.

The immersion element in our Mixergy Cylinder failed at nine months old....disappointing but otherwise really love the Mixergy Technology and the energy/money saving on hot water.
The plumber and electrician who installed the Mixergy kit were reluctant to investigate / diagnose the fault even with the telephone / video assistance of the excellent Mixergy Tech Support Team...

Ryan, Kaz and Abbas at Mixergy Technical Support were absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable , patient and really helpful - unfortunately we just couldn't find a plumber/ electrician in the SA postcode area who were confident enough to investigate Mixergy kit.

Luckily, Mixergy Tech Support contacted Robert Heath Heating and asked them to visit us urgently....
Josh (Engineer ) was on site within 12 hours actually arriving at 21.30 to check that Mixergy's remote diagnosis of a defective immersion element was correct - he was thorough, knowledgeable and friendly also finding another unconnected minor defect in the P.V Diverter Module..
Mixergy Tech Support sent out the replacement items and Lee from Robert Heath was very prompt at fitting them, checking the entire system and restoring our hot water supply...

I'll be asking about a service contract

It is summer, so I have turned off the Default heat source (air source heat pump) and scheduled electric for 3 periods. It would not work. Tried again using pvvsource. Spoke to Mixergy, nice lady elevated the problem, somebody would call.. Another 3 calls later, suggest that I switch the default heat source to electric, tried no good. Still waiting, but I have to use the ASHP to get hot water. A poor experience to date. Did I mention that when it was full it wouldn't let 2 adults shower consecutively?
So a 1 star review generated a call the following day from a Very nice guy, with Very good knowledge of not just the Mixergy, but also my ASHP and PV system, went through the system in detail, diagnosed what the problem is most likely to be (99% surety) and will get it sorted asap. Gave me a workaround until it is. Top marks for ROB, first class company representative.

I moved into a new David Wilson home, it had a Mixergy software tank installed, after several attempts to sort it out, I spoke with a chap called Rob.

What a breath of fresh air, though all of the Mixergy staff were helpful, Rob went the extra mile and set everything up for me , times, fuels, even to offset my solar when I’m using my car, as it would just go to the tank.

We've had our Mixergy tank and solar panels for a couple of years now, and it's a brilliant combo - free hot water almost all year round. Recently had a few technical problems, and the technical support team were really excellent, getting new parts out to us very quickly and giving us and our plumber all the help we needed to get everything sorted.

Great service by technical support Abbas who has helped set the system up to run most economically. With his help I can see we are getting the most cost savings from our system.

Mixergy’s tchnical support officer, Kaz, was brilliant, he stuck with us from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. He went over and above to help us sort out out our connectivity problems and made the process easy for us to understand and fix.

Heating and hot water system which will support our carbon footprint expectations and drive for reduced costs of energy use , really happy with the technology and so pleased I made the change . Cannot praise the Mixergy company and after care enough .

Good equipment. Initially some issues getting it installed and the correct spec. Had an issue with it losing connection to the internet for a while. It works well now and much better than traditional tanks. Not sure the yearly monitoring subscription is worth the £90.

We have had various issues with the Mixergy hot water system since it was installed into our new build house in December last year. The problem has been the lack of knowledge on how the system works by the various engineers and also not being connected to the internet. A couple of components had not been installed. We have got the copy of the user guide from a QR code. I emailed customer care yesterday as I had a few queries. The email was acknowledged and shortly afterwards, Kaz phoned me back. He was so helpful in explaining a lot to me on how the system worked. He connected the solar panels, as this had not been done previously. Kaz also sent me further instructions which I have found very helpful. I can’t thank Kaz enough for his help. It was nice to be able to talk to a person as well, rather than just questions and answers, like some web sites. Many thanks Kaz.
