If your looking for information on a specific release or building your collection its a great resource....But the market place is awful, the fees charged are definitely not worth the service given and once discogs take their money PayPal then take theirs. There is no way to load photos of the vinyl so there are a lot of requests to share these via email. There's also a lot of spam and dodgy links that arrive in your inbox as well as fake buyers and aggressive buyers. The price you finally get for your vinyl is way less than ebay with way more hassle to get it. I tried it for a year..that was long enough

Scammers. They tell you the fee that you pay on your sold records is 9%. This is incorrect. You pay much more AND the fee also calculated over the amount you receive for shippingcosts. Furthermore there is a fee from Paypal, you have to pay this, because there is NOT OTHER OPTION to receive your funds. So in total the fee is MORE THAN 15%. Disgusting way of managing your business by misleading your customers. Support department is a disaster, please don't buy and sell any records here!!!

Great Webside for record collectors and by the way mainly build and contributed by collectors BUT the marketplace is getting totally out of hands. Customer service is nearly unexisting or responding after serval weeks just to refer to Paypal in case you have a problem with a seller or buyer. As a seller they overtax everything from front to end to get their share off on all transactions.
Thats maybe normal for platforms like eBay or Amazon but for a community build platform its just disgusting. Hope there will be some alternative in the near future

7 weeks after paying for my order I have not received it. The Vendor is in the UK I am in the Republic of Ireland. The Vendor does not respond unless he receives an automated threat by Discogs to respond within 4 days or be suspended. Me " please send tracking number " Vendor "Let me check again". This exchange kicks the can down the road for another week . DIscogs themselves have not responded, it is now 5 weeks since I notified them of the issue . I will give this one more week and then will begin the tedious process of notifying my card Company .I have used Discogs before and had no issue but now understand they have no control over their vendors. I can see how grading standards could cause issues , ditto poor packing / damage during carriage but my "dispute " is simple I paid but have not received my goods . In a situation like this Discogs should have made contact with the Vendor and they have not done so ... Let buyers beware .

There is nothing bad about discogs I ordered from here it came in 19 days.
I don't know why I am seeing poor reviews I ordered from here discogs is really good my order came nicely and undamaged.
I recommend you to use discogs and ignore bad reviews.

Hi Rex, the comment you've said is not true. DISCOGS is made by USERS like you and me, wasting time for or "Giving" time to another users. Made more easy the search.

Interesting site if you want some more information about releases and artists. The marketplace is very good too, ordered some CD's for my collection without any problems.

Recently I decided to set my record player up and invest in some vinyl, I wanted to show my kids what they are missing out on . I stumbled across midnightselection.com and after several hours of listening to items I ordered five singles (45s) and a couple of albums. I'm not a big internet shopper but liked the way the site was easy to use and only basic information was required to set up an account . I don't have a paypal account and was expecting the checkout to offer this but they had something I had not heard of before , Nochex , this was very easy and I was directed to a secure page to pay..very easy..especially for an old codger like me. Anyway I received confirmation straight away,They personally emailed me the following morning to thank me for the order and that my items were on their way,and blow me down they arrived the next day by recorded post , very good packaging and great service. Would I use again ? Already have..
