Way too expensive to shop there any longer. They've gouged their prices to the point that they've driven me to shop elsewhere.

Loblaws/Provigo is a perfect example of Corporate Greed. Many of the large Loblaws stores closed in Quebec claiming they weren’t making money. Correct. Shoppers went elsewhere. I hear there is a Boycott going on. I’d rather see the company close for good. They are hated.

The Loblaws at High-tech Road in Richmond Hill had Pizza slices for $3.00 which were expiring today. Instead of giving it at 50% off, the manger took the whole lot and threw it out saying she rather toss the pizza then give it to any customer at 50% off!

They a bunch of theives bad as are government greed boycott them I see Loblaws stores lesser people shopping in there stores all Loblaws was doing is robbing people

I am appalled of the crazy prices and will be shopping elsewhere!! and make my own foods, like homemade bread, sauces and plus more!!

I just bought the coffee pods (club size). They claim to be 100% compostable but the the 100 pods are each individually wrapped in plastic. Why have compostable pods if they're wrapped in plastic. It's the equivalent of serving a vegetarian a slice of tofu wrapped in bacon but then advertising it as vegetarian because the inside content is. I will never again support such a wasteful company. I wish I could share a picture because it is ridiculous.

what made my experience great is me becoming more mature and showing growth that lasted a decade.

After paying (23.50) for my groceries I was leaving the store. The wheels on my cart locked as I went through the doors and a security guy was on me immediately with questions - did you shop? did you pay? lets see the receipt, etc. It really shocked me and I started looking for my receipt but as fate would have it, this was the one time I failed to grab my receipt from the self check out. To make a long story short, they made me pay again. When I got home I checked my bank account and found out that I had absolutely paid before leaving the store the first time and had now paid twice. I went back to the store and spent over an hour getting a refund. I have a really negative impression about Loblaws after the way I was treated and doubt I will ever shop there again.

LOBLAWS GREED REACHES A NEW SET OF LOWS

Today at one of its biggest stores in Ottawa, Loblaws had only two cashiers/// Great savings of poverty wages. Huge line-ups. forcing customers to self check-out.

But Loblaws does not trust self checkout. Customers forced into poverty by their disgusting prices might be forced to "steal"

So, now Loblaws has signs everywhere informing customers that they are under surveillance abd will be prosecuted.

It is impossible to use the washrooms - they are all barred; forcing disabled customers to do huge two way walks through lengthy checkouts and back...... no doubt to ensure that I do not hide cucumber in my pants... While I pee my pants. on Loblaws cameras no doubt, over this ridiculous. arduous customer unfriendly policy.

Not Enough for Loblaws insatiable Corporate Greed. Havong force customers to Self Check-out rather that to pay a few cashiers... Loblaws now demands to inspect your receipts..

Total Chaos; line-ups hours long..

Loblaws = I truly hope that you catch some young pregnant miscreant trying to provide milk to her starving children.

The fresh produce such as vegetables and fruit are terrible . Fruit and tomatoes for starters are put out for sale rotten. Just today the tomatoes are rotten and stuck together by mold. That alone is a health hazard. Why are they out there in the first place. Loblaws may say the price hasn’t increased, however the amount you get has decreased which means the price has increased. Pretty sad.

This company has zero respect. Takes advantage of customers and employees. Time to be investigated.

Price gouging gone way too far—A meal for one at the hot table chicken fingers and wedges has gone from $5.00 to a ridiculous $9.00 in less than 18 months. Take a stand —do t shop here

I feel Galin Weston CEO of Loblaws is pure evil.

We need to start a class action lawsuit, on the monopoly of the grocery market & the price fixing
Most of the prices are up 25% since 3 years, why? The US prices of milk, eggs etc is reasonable

It's unacceptable that people like Galen Weston Jr. are making record profits off the backs of hardworking Canadians while low-income families can barely afford to feed themselves

Galen Weston is a criminal. Remember when he engaged in a bread price-fixing scheme for fifteen years and nothing - nothing at all happened to him?

Evil!!! This company continues to make record profits, you know why? Because they continue to scam and rip off Canadians. We continue to get poorer and they keep rising prices. So disgusting.

Loblaws head office management aren't the brightest people.
They decided recently to cut the 50% discount (on food items that had passed the best before date) down to 30%.
Upper management really pulled a boneheaded move by doing this. The backlash from the public was enough to make them reinstate the 50% discount
This reversal happened about 7 to 10 days ago. So I was in my neighborhood Loblaws on January 27th and they are still using the 30% off price stickers in the store.
I asked a member of store management about this and I was told that they were still waiting to hear back from head office on this matter.
Today I am in the same Loblaws store and a store employee told me that as of Jan 28th they are now giving the 50% off on expired food items.
So my beef with Loblaws head office management is why does it take you 7-10 days to reinstate the 50% off discount?
A lot of customers are very angry with Loblaws for doing the above and then reinstating it when there is a huge public backlash!
Remember the bread scandal several years back? Guess who was part of that as well? None other than LOBLAWS!
Loblaws needs to get their act together and put the customer first!
Never mind the price gouging, the fat executive bonuses, and the shareholders! PUT THE CUSTOMER FIRST!

Record profits so we grab more money! How wonderful that Loblaw cares so much about the people that are struggling financially. Spoke to head office who today said they are reverting back to 50% off within the next 2 weeks. Until then I will be shopping at their competitors.

Totally corporate GREED. Now that 50 percent became 30, its a slap in the face. I now shop at raise to root and outer local shops to feed myself and family. A source of affordable food just vanished. Sent a complaint to Loblaws about changing the discounted items from 50% to 30% only to get a reply that basically says they do not care. I said, I would change my entire routine to avoid going to any of their store and I have. If more people did this, they may lose a tiny part of their millions in profits. FYI, for .50 more you can get an multi layered sandwich on a bun from Sobeys instead of their soggy tuna on bread. Better options that can fit the budget out there Loblaws!
