Ordered a NHL t-shirt and I regret not checking out any reviews before hand!
Ordered from a website called Fanatics International then the order email came from Lids International (this was the first alarm bell).
Not surprisingly the order was not delivered. The ‘tracking’ site landmark global showed the t shirt as sent then as (mysteriously) returned to the ‘returns centre’ (alarm bell number two).
After contacting Lids, I was told they would conduct an ‘investigation’ and get back to me within three days. Ten or so days later there was no update.
I reported the transaction via PayPal and they refunded the amount straight away (it’s almost like the saw the biller was Lids and did the refund without question).
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company.
Awful customer service
Is it just me or do employees at most lids stores hate their jobs?Went to the Ala Moana center in Hawaii today where there are 3 stores.
Two of them were clearly so inconvenienced just by having a customer there that they made it so uncomfortable I had to leave.
Not only were they unhelpful, they made it so obvious that they didn't want to have to deal with anybody while being paid.
One was a young guy and the second a young girl.
The third which was sthe largest store had an older more mature gentleman who was chatty and couldn't have been more helpful.
Such a shame.
Order not delivered. Refused refund
3 weeks after ordering on the day it was due to be delivered Lids replied to my email askibg for a refund saying that my item was still being customised and they'd let me know when it was shipped. They ignored my request for a refund. Thanks for nothing.
Customer services are beyond shocking
Customer services are beyond shocking. Item received early December. Not satisfactory. Cost to return is £7.50....item cost £9. Have tried many many times to sort this. Emails... phone call... even wrote letter. To date no satisfactory outcome.
Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company, full off clowns that don’t that what they are doing. Ruined a hat that brought from somewhere else, said they would keep the hat and give me money to get a new one? That’s my property, absolutely rubbish company. Also said they would process a refund and haven’t to only be told I would need to come back in store to get the refund. Bunch of jokers, perhaps should go work in McDonald’s or clean some toilets with that interlect.

Horrible costumer service on store
Horrible costumer service. And there is no contacts to communicate with anyone about an issue I had at one of the stores. Avoid the store at Lewisham in London,one of the employees will be very dismissive, won’t explain anything about the costume service and you will end up paying for something you won’t like.
They refuse to cancel or refund
Ordered a jersey and they said it would be delivered by December 1, 2022. I call on December 1 to see where the jersey is and they tell me it's not shipped yet and will be delivered by December 20, 2022. I cancel the order on the phone and wait for a refund. Instead of a refund I keep getting emails saying they're working on shipping the jersey. I contact them again to cancel. Same story keeps recycling with no refund and no confirmation of cancellation. I had to contact my credit card company to dispute it.

Owned by Fanatics, but has different “policies”
Tried to return a hat, which I purchased two of different sizes, and decided to keep one.
Lids.com denied my request, being 5 days late from their own "policy". For the record, Fanatics, which owns Lids, has a 365-day return policy, while Lids has a 90-day. Confusing, being the same company. Could've at least offered a exchange credit, in my opinion.
Within the same week, back with customer service, on why a hat wasn't delivered yet. Stated it would be delivered in 3-7 business days. Now on day 14. I would not recommend to shop here.
Online sale higher than price tags
I bought 2 hats online. Was charged $80 for both. I received them with price tags of $25 each. Last time I buy from lids. Can't be trusted.

The Lids in Palm Desert, CA is the worst stores ever. It is always full of rip off products and rude people and racism. Two rude boys in black shirts and blue caps are being extremely rude and mocking people for no reason as they go into Lids sports store and make fun of more people in there in Palm Desert, CA. What kind of store is this? Even sports need to learn integrity.

You cannot return online orders in store and they also take 2 weeks to process your return. Moreoever, you will need to pay for the return shipping fee or you need to choose the gift card option. However, the gift card option will also take 2 weeks to process. So to exchange an item you would need to wait for one month (since shipping also takes about two weeks)...
Ordered an ornament from them online
Ordered an ornament from them online. They gave me an offer for free shipping then sneaked in a 9.00$ expedited shipping fee and a nearly 2.00$ handling fee. They make it nearly impossible to cancel an order. I had to call their (foreign) customer service and put on hold for nearly 28 minutes just to cancel. I’m pretty sure I’ll never see any of my money back but I can assure you, Lids, that you’ll never see another dime from me and I will trash your name to anybody and everyone. You’re a crap company, with crap customer service and crap employees. I hope you go out of business so you quit scamming your customers. Y’all are trash!
