General Lamps Arvostelua 

Paid almost 50 pounds for 4 filament bulbs back in June when I undertook a rewire of my kitchen. Bulbs were finally fitted in November but one died in January. I made 3 attempts to contact the company after one bulb failed to perform for even two months. Sales team failed to respond and I had to send a contact request via company website. Finally got a curt response this a.m. which failed to answer my question as to life expectancy & when asked if they refund dud bulbs, they said this: 'No we don’t in the same manner as we don’t send an additional invoice for those that perform longer than they are expected to.'

I bought some lights from this company in November. They came but unfortunately I chose the wrong fitting. I have been trying to return my lamps for 2 months but cannot get a reply to my email requesting an address to return to. I have emailed 5 times and have had no answer so far.

Recently I have bought a pack of candle lamps via General lamps website.
All good to go, the lamps were delivered at my doorstep in time and in a special package due to fragile.
Nice company , quick and effective.

I needed 1 lamp bought a pack of 5 first2 I tried didn’t work. Third time lucky! I haven’t tried the other2!

Ordered the following incandescent light bulbs; 'GLS Light Bulb 240V 25W B22D Pearl 10 pack', for my outside porch lanterns and they only lasted about a day, blowing when switched on! The bulbs work ok indoors though, so suggest only buying them for indoor usage only, as no good with outdoor light fittings. Website stated they were ‘Standard Household Light Bulbs’, yet packaging stated they were ‘Not’ for using at home and are for industrial use only, further mentioning that they are for ‘traffic light’ use! (I was told this was to do with EU legislation). Thinking it might be due to the cold weather, I replaced them with 40w candle bulbs from other indoor light fittings and they worked fine.

General Lamps told me they weren't sure why they were failing early and offered to test them if I sent some back. I have requested a postage returns label for the remaining bulbs as well as a refund, but have not heard anything since 16th December 2022.

I placed my order on 26th December and the payment was taken from my account. Since then I have heard nothing, although I emailed the company on 5th January to ask when my order will be delivered.

It is now late afternoon on 9th January and I have still had no reply.

Haven’t received purchased that’s over 2 weeks emailed for feedback have not received a reply

The outdoor bulb I ordered arrived safely and works satisfactorily. The only problem was not of General Lamps making, in that the Postal strikes meant nearly three weeks in getting delivery.

The order was easy to do and delivery was as advised, excellent service.

Quick delivery despite Christmas period. Bulb bought although unusual size was perfect for Santa.
