Stay Away! Absolutely Appalling Service.

I have proof of multiple emails from Konica Minolta to support everything I’m stating here.

We purchased a KM C12000 PRESS through Repro Imaging and have always had it serviced directly by Konica Minolta — so they know this machine inside out. Before Repro went bust, we experienced countless breakdowns caused by poorly manufactured parts. Eventually, Konica upgraded our machine to the “e” version free of charge by replacing various parts and hardware, but the banding and fuser issues were never resolved.

They also changed the original service contract we agreed to. Engineers who were supposed to arrive within 4 hours routinely showed up 3 days later. After a recent breakdown, Konica offered a small “compensation” — which I have proof of — that was frankly insulting. They even mentioned providing a backup machine, but nothing came of it.

Several suppliers have confirmed that the first version of the C12000 was one of the worst ever made, and many customers had their machines replaced. Unfortunately, we weren’t as lucky — ours just kept breaking down after every repair, often lasting less than 24 hours before failing again.

Now that Repro Imaging has gone bust, Konica Minolta refuses to take over our service contract. Instead of being honest about it, they simply ignore all our calls, emails, and messages.

It’s truly disappointing. For any business considering Konica Minolta — do yourself a favour and stay away.

I ordered a full set of replacement…

I ordered a full set of replacement cartridges for my magicolor printer. When it came time to install them they didn't fit although they look exactly like the old ones. I phoned their helpline and was advised to send an email expanding on the problem. I e-mailed but got a response saying I was blocked from e-mailing them. This company is abysmal, their products are not fit for purpose.

Superb experience from start to finish

Superb experience from start to finish. We sent them an email asking about possible Optical Spectrometer instruments for our specific requirements and they sent us excellent information as well as a quotation.
Although the item was out of stock in the UK, we placed our order and expected it to take many weeks. It actually arrived in a few days and is perfect.
I've been using it already and it's superb.
A very good experience and I won't hesitate to buy again.

Long history of issues with this…

Long history of issues with this company. We moved offices two years ago and had them move the copiers to our new offices. It took us over a year to get them to correct the billing information with new address. A month ago I ordered toner and paid with credit card for product and overnight delivery. Did not come so second day I called again and somehow the order was never put through. Took 5 days to get. I put in a service call this Tuesday and never heard back, called again on Wednesday and it was cancelled they said due to a balance they had to write off. Of course, no one called to tell me this. I am still trying to get someone to call me back. We do not owe them any money. Do not buy from them.

This company does not like to reveal…

This company does not like to reveal its contact details, they have not complied with my request to remove my details from their database (breach of General Data Protection Regulations???) and they continue to send me ink cartridges which I do not want for a machine which I have no dealings with. (5 year contract expired ages ago).

Your printers are shocking

Your printers are shocking. I have never felt so appalled in my life. My youngest son, Gerald has came home in tears after his hard work was torn up by the printer. As a struggling mother of 4, do you seriously think I appreciate how my child reacted and the rip off prices of these absolute pieces of garbage. I will be in touch.

Avoid like plague rats

Interesting experience... According to the Consumer Contracts Information Cancellation And Additional Payments Regulation (can't link, google it), section J. Prohibition On Customer Helplines Charging More Than Basic Rate, their helpline policy is violating UK law. Support number on the device clearly begins with 03, which the above legislature says may not incur premium rate charges. And yet they charge premium rates. No warning when you place the call... Been chasing them over 6 MONTHS on this, they keep replying they have "chased it up with their colleagues". Are the colleagues living on pluto? How can it take 6 months to resolve something this simple? Avoid. Fyi, printer keeps breaking for no apparent reason.

This company cant deliver what they promote, walk away

Bad, Bad, I would not recommend to anyone Konica Minolta UK. They either don't answer the telephone calls or follow up any messages that have been left. Management cannot tell you the truth or at least a provide a straight answer. I have been in this business long enough to know the BS. Their IT support or technical guys that suppose to understand the technical s around process and workflows clearly don't exist along with their high level technical support were have they gone??????. Konica adverts you can see on Linked-in or websites are something that has either been dreamt up or written on the back of a cigarette packet, this company cant deliver what they promote clearly a leadership issue. Walk away.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, lies and mis-information, dealt with 4 managers - all useless. Please do not use this company for anything you rely on - they just don't work well, break down, engineers don't know the product or how to fix it, deliver the printer and come 3 weeks later to train you how to use it !! - honestly the list of issues goes on and on .. you have been warned.

They neither answer the telephone (recorded messages saying that 'your call is important to us', and canned music) nor any letters written to them. They do not use the submitted photocopier meter readings submitted to them for billing purposes.

Do not recommend

It is such a shameful and disdainful thing regarding this company.
This company promised handsome reward for introducing them to any company and to take up the service for such company.
I introduced Konica Minolta to one of the government establishment and their services were contracted. Hardware were purchased to the tune of 000s of 0000s. I tried unsuccessfully to reach this company to get my reward but no one care to know, I wrote several emails but no response.
This is bad publicity and should be called out.
