Kipling UK customer service hang your heads in shame!
Over the years I have purchased multiple items from Kipling with no issues until after using a large suitcase on only 3 occasions, a spinner wheel broke off. I then found out that Kipling customer service in the UK is non existent . No-one in the UK will repair the case and I was told it would have to be sent to Kipling in Poland for a repair.
The case is out of warranty so I removed the damaged wheel and located the part number then contacted Kipling to ask them if I could purchase the wheel priced at £15 on their website. They said it was against company policy to send out parts and my only option was to send the whole case to Poland which will cost 4 times as much and therefore makes it uneconomical to repair so will probably end up in landfill. Shame on you Kipling for this poor attitude to your UK customers and your shocking lack of awareness for the environment and global warming. You have lost a long time customer and champion of your products and I urge any UK customer not to buy Kipling products in the future if you have any sort of conscience. I have now replaced the suitcase with an Antler who are a British company and have repairers in the UK
Poor customer service and site functionality
For such a supposedly expensive, premium brand you'd think they'd have better customer service and a better working site. The live chat feature is useless, everytime I select to speak to an agent, it defaults to "Live chat has ended". I tried emailing them with the order number, and the person who replied says they can't find my order. I also paid extra for overnight delivery, but checking the tracking it says it's scheduled to be delivered on Monday, which is 3 days from now because for some reason even if you select overnight shipping, they send info to Fedex which tells them the package can only be delivered on weekdays. That is what it said on the tracking "weekday delivery only". I ordered Friday and now have to wait til Monday, how is that overnight delivery? And nowhere did I select weekday delivery. So frustrating to have to spend nearly $300 for such poor customer service, a barely functioning website, and shipping delays. Never ordering from them again.
The Kipling bag is a sham but…
The Kipling bag is very well-made but the wheels are very poorly made. They are basically two layers of plastic like an old bicycle wheel with a tube. The outside layers fail quickly and the inside wheels hold up fairly well but the bag is going to be noisy andd harder to push. Giving them a rating of three is a generous rating.
Mammogram Glitch
I bought a personalized backpack from them and they put two different names on the backpack. This is the email I sent:
“To whom it may concern
I ordered your backpack with my wife name mammogram on the side, and the bag came with the default name “Danielle” on the front. Other than that a nice bag. I contacted customer service and spoke with Whitney. She informed me to email you pictures. The order number is: **********
If possible I will like a new one sent the same way but no “Danielle”. Also let me know how to return the old one.”
This was there response:
“ Thank you for contacting Kipling. I was able to check in on the order you are referring to, and it looks like this is how it was ordered on the monogramming section in check out. Monogramming orders are final sale so we would not be able to take it back as it was ordered this way, I do apologize.

We have in total of 5 bag from Kipling, USA. I have violet sling bag, printed blue bag, Mom has one printed big tote bag, sister has pink tote bag, my son has red back pack. We love the color, the style and durability of the bag!! Used to buy from a friend whose living in the US and shipped here to my country in PH.

Should've seen company rating before i bought
Shopping on Kipling is my worst online shopping experience ever. So bad that I came to search a place where I can review it zero. So here I am. Below is a summary of shopping experience on Kipling:
1. No order details in order confirmation email. I don't know whether my customization is properly recorded in the system.
2. Messy warehouse management. Sent me the wrong bag 9 hours after my order placement, also with wrong customization.
3. Non-responsive after-sale service. I sent required pictures of the wrong bag. No response for 9 days. In their email they said "some one will be in touch with you within 2-4 business days"
4. Sloppy agent attitude online and over the phone until I was transferred to a supervisor.
5. The live chat on their website kicks you out after 5 minutes silence even if you are waiting for your agent's response.
6. Slow in every step,(processing and issuing slips). They claim they are very under-staffed. Oh boy that's not a good sign for a company.
It's been a week i returned the wrong bag but I still haven't received my refund.

The reviews posted here are true. I just had the worst customer service experience. I placed an order for a personalized backpack. I was sent the wrong - less expensive - backpack. I immediately called customer service and explained it to them. It took a couple of phone calls to even get them to email me the return shipping label. I had to call multiple times and was told the same thing - and LIED to- multiple times. Each time they would tell me the replacement was on its way. Today someone called me back and finally told me that they were out of stock for the item I wanted. And they STILL HAVE MY MONEY. DISHONEST COMPANY.
Horrible costumer service
I had an order placed September 3 and chose the ground shipping because I was taking advantage of the sites promo for “Limited Time Free Shipping” and there is also a good discount promo for the bag that I wanted. The tracking number for the order was sent to me through email via Fed Ex and said it was due to be delivered September 11. Unfortunately it did not arrive. The status of the order did not track until the said delivery date. After September 11th, the status of my order was “Pending”.
So I called costumer service on September 16 and addressed the issue of my order and asked if they could re-ship me a new one and since I was waiting for the bag for a couple of weeks, I asked if they can offer one day shipping and they said yes. The representative that I talked to said that my replacement order will arrive September 18. Again, it was not delivered. I didn’t got any order and shipping confirmation after the conversation.
On September 19, I used the “LIVE CHAT” costumer service on the website and addressed the issue once again and said that my order has not been shipped and approved yet for some reason. So the agent helped me and said they will fix it until the end of the day so it can be shipped to me the next day.
So I did receive a confirmation email that my order had been confirmed but still haven’t received any tracking details. So once again I went to the live chat and they said the order has been re-shipped and I just have to wait for the tracking number once ups receives the package. Sadly until this day I still haven’t received anything. This is such a disappointment & horrible costumer service. I think I got scammed at this one because they keep on juggling dates and promising to send me a new one but they don’t seem to care as if they weren’t bothered for the delay and don’t value their costumer. Horrible!!! I won’t buy from them again!!!!

Kipling does not offer the metal key chains for sale. The one that is on my bag is missing a leg.
