Utterly AWFUL customer services
Utterly AWFUL customer services, complained about the "bank feeds" feature being mis-sold, not had a proper response in over a month - but still received their marketing email shouting about their "world class customer support" - which is a complete joke. They take a years subscription, remove a critical feature like bank feeds (all other online companies like Xero/Sage/QB managed to replace them quickly) and refuse to refund.
Avoid. Use Xero or Quickbooks instead. We are accountants and now refuse to even support Kashflow.
Removal of automatic bank feeds!!
Use Kashflow to decrease admin time on accounts. Did automatic renewal in Sept only to be told that automatic bank links would be stopping due to EU regulations a few days later. Not ideal but excepted it.
Then receive email from Kashflow to say automatic banking links now working again (including HSBC). Hurrah I thought.... however it didn't work for me so logged a help call with Kashflow. After a few days they reply to say that have NO plans to work with HSBC going forward and the HSBC logo had been removed from their site. So now I have to do manual uploads and pay for the privilege!

For some reason I decided to use this software rather than Sage which I am used to. It wasn't even cheaper in the long run as they increased by monthly payments after a short while. Then when I wanted to cancel, oh what a mess. When I clicked in manage my subscription there was nowhere for me to cancel, then they said my accountants were in charge of it and they logged in and they couldn't cancel either. So I have ended up having to cancel my credit card just so they can no longer take my money. Avoid this company at all costs and stick with a reputable software company.
Good Tech Support but where is my money ?
Whilst Customer support is good. Trying to get my money from them for referrals is a nightmare. The payments don't come and email to support and complaints are left unanswered for weeks. `Update Dec 2022' All up-to-date. Also a discount if you use the code KASHFLOWCLIVE.
They are robbers - I have been with Kashflow for 9 years
I have been with Kashflow for 9 years. I received an email from them on 30th September to say my annual subscription was due the following day and that they had taken £204 from my card. I called and said I did not want to renew - I am retiring - and they said I would receive a refund. When this didn't happen I emailed and was told that no refund was due as it was up to me to cancel in time! So I am being asked to pay for a year's subscription that I will not use. Totally Immoral! I will pursue this as a chargeback claim from my credit card company and if that doesn't work, then a County Court summons.
Kashflow user since they began but .......
Have been using Kashflow for over ten years now, pretty much from when they started and have found it easy up until now! Since Kashflow changed over tot he newer version after MTD (Making Tax Digital) it now no longer can reconcile your bank accounts, it keeps giving the wrong starting balance for the date, so cannot reconcile any future accounts as does not add up. I have spent the last three months trying to get this fixed with Kashflow Support but all I keep getting is inane answers or them telling me to go back over my accounts as I have changed or deleted something resulting in the wrong balance. This is not the case and one of the helpful support workers painstakingly went back through each and every one of my bank reconciliations checking and agreed that my entries matched my bank statements, so why Kashflow has changed the figures we have no idea and it seems Kashflow do not know how to fix this. All they keep saying it to go back and delete all of my ncorrect bank reconciliations, which means going back over seven years and re-entering the whole lot again, which I cannot do as I no longer have the bank statements from over seven years ago!!! They are no help and are now ignoring my emails! I am definitely going to cancel my subscription and try another accounting software.

App would be useful and even though they have one, it's taken ages to launch and still poor quality. Can't do everything on it and clunky.
Website is brilliant though and fine for what I need it for.
Very good but not perfect
I am a director of a Scottish Professional football club and a chartered accountant. We have two companies on KashFlow - our community trust which is our charitable arm and the football club itself. Football is quite a complex and unusual business, unlike almost anything else but we have found Kashflow able to cope and mostly intuitive to use, especially if you have experience of “traditional” accounts packages. It is not perfect but the pluses for us way outweigh any negatives.
Positives: easy to setup and use for anyone with a modicum of accounting experience. Easy import from most self respecting accounting systems
Very reasonably priced
Access from anywhere with Wi-Fi on any device. We use primarily PC laptops but it runs happily on my android phone and Apple iPad. I do not understand criticisms of this on other reviews
Until recently, direct import from our banks worked flawlessly but for the last couple of weeks E.U. changes to bank log on methodologies have stopped this, though Kashflow are working on it. Meantime, we can download csv files and import those.
Easy drill down from top level figure to transaction level, including attached scanned documents such as purchase invoices
Easy import/export to MS Office.
Negatives: no proper purchase order system although we are promised that is coming
Bank link temporarily unavailable - not sure how long temporarily means
No report writing facility. There are around 50 standard reports which adequately cover most areas - aged debts, aged creditors etc. But we export trial balances to Excel to produce accounts in our required format.
Identified improvements to system take a long time.

Started off ok, used for 3 years. Just left because of the following
- Bank feed not able to talk to my back anymore due to "EU Legislation" and when I go to manually upload CSV it throws up an error message so currently can't reconcile my accounts. Strangely enough I've now migrated to QuickBooks who don't have the "EU Legislation" problem?
- App... Where do I start... Un-useable basically. Haven't ever been able to send an invoice or estimate when I'm out about which is the whole point of the app Imo.
- Also be careful if/when you do migrate your data. when you cancel your subscription it points you to some "useful" links to download .csv which don't have all the info you need. i.e. for the customer .csv it excludes the email column! which for me is one of the most important things I need to migrate.
- Customer service haven't been too bad but I haven't had to bother them too much..
- The cost! Very expensive especially when the app doesn't do what it should.
KashFlow- Easy to use
Came to KashFlow from Quickbooks mostly because it was a lot easier to use. I was hesitant after reading some reviews with support but I use the chat box and there's always someone on the other end who I can speak too, I've used that feature a few times. Mileage calc is very good too.
8 years of bad experiences. Leaving...
The support is embarrassingly poor and has been for a while with no attempt to improve it. We've used it for 8 years and are moving to another package. At one point their support advice was to delete my (8 years of) account and start a new one to fix a minor log in problem. I never write reviews but Kashflow is causing us so many problems and the lack of support is really difficult that I wanted to share. We have fed back to them again and again without anything being done, and very rarely had any advice that has helped with any issues, and it Kashflow to have more than its fair share of issues. It has a pretty interface, and talks about how great it is a lot (even on the dashboard page) but my advice is to listen to what the other reviews are saying, and to avoid it.
Very frustrating customer service
Very frustrating customer service. I have been dealing with Alison Bushell re a server error while trying to get to the import section and it seems she is deliberately misunderstanding me as I’ve told her step by step how far I’m getting and she is replying complete nonsense regarding steps down the line. Clearly I had been a customer for 3 years + and have uploaded 100s of files in the past. Pure incompetence and apathy. Aside from that the software is clunky and manual. I’m a qualified accountant and I know we shouldn’t have to work this hard. Avoid for your own sanity.
Absolute rubbish site.
Absolute rubbish. I forgot my password and after resetting it, I am told my email address is wrong. Tried for several hours over 2 days yet I'm told the email address that I've used for years is incorrect. Waste of time but sadly this is what my employer uses.

Totally unreliable software and useless customer service.
Constanly missing entries from the bank statements, and we have to check each entry manually to find what one is missing.
What is the point to have a software which need man work to check its own errors?
We worked faster by book-keeping everything manually !!!
And the customer service is totally useless, the only thing they can do is denying all the responsiblies of the software and asking customer to talk to the bank and solving the problem themselves!

I’ve been a loyal user of Kashflow for nearly 10 years but I’m now migrating to a different service…From a recent subscription issue it seems that Kashflow are more interested in their bottom line than giving a friendly, helpful customer service to small businesses and they do not live up to their questionable values – it’s all marketing hype. Don’t believe it.When it comes down to it, they’re totally inflexible and unsupportive and will look to their legal teams and small print in contracts to protect themselves rather than putting the customer first. Their customer service model, ethos and ethics are stuck in the past.If you’re looking for a friendly, customer focused accounting solution, I’d seriously look elsewhere before you’re tied into them…

I'm a freelance writer and have been using KashFlow for the past four or more years. I love that I can easily create quotes, invoices and reports. Bookkeeping is straightforward and everything is compatible with my accountant's software. I am a huge fan of KashFlow and would recommend it.

We have used Kashflow since 2013 and been happy with it until this year, when for some reason a bug altered all our bank totals, and suddenly nothing added up - I had to go back through every year to 2013 to find the entries which were "corrupted" and delete and re-enter them. Absolutely no help from customer services who basically acknowledged there was an issue, said they would look into it and then complete silence from them - no help at all, no phone line to get any immediate assistance, so we cannot recommend them, and are currently looking at transferring to QuickBooks
