Very responsive helpful customer service. Aidy delivered on a Saturday and took lots of trouble to place the bulk bags of topsoil where we wanted them. will use JC Tye again for any horticultural or building materials.

1st Class service from Independent builders merchant.
I used J C Tye for a recent garden landscape project. They supplied the Indian sandstone for my patio, 2 bags of dry stone walling stone and all my sand, cement and re-bar.
Their prices were reasonable and they delivered swiftly.
The big difference with J C Tye is their small team of knowledgeable staff, from the boss to the trade counter to staff, to the yardsman and delivery drivers. They were all able to give me tips and advise about the materials to select and ideas about how to achieve the look I was after.
e.g. they demonstrates the way the Indian sand stone subtly changes colour when wet vs dry and advised me on mortar dyes which can be used to match the concrete finished top on my dry stone wall to the wall stone itself.
This is from the point of view of a consumer and not a trade customer but I’m sure their service to the trade is just as good and reliable.
I’m sure I’ll be back for more, just not that soon as having my laid 60sq mts of stone patio and building a 2 ton stone wall, I’ll need a bit of a break!
