Incompetent, dishonest.
I hired this legal firm to assist my purchase of real estate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The real estate developer was late in delivering the building and I contacted my lawyer to intervene. From the date of that explicit request, it took them 6 weeks and multiple emails for Iris & Iris to respond. They lied and said they had contacted the seller. The developer told me they had not contacted him. Then Iris & Iris Abogados told me they had filed a lawsuit, but refused to send me any proof of the filing. Finally i asked them for an accounting of how many hours they spent on my case, so that I could ask for a refund. It has been 6 months since I asked them to do their job; they have refused to send me or my new lawyer an accounting of hours or any proof of a lawsuit, other than a sloppily scanned, barely legible, letter and a few threatening emails with no legal teeth that they supposedly sent the seller. I recommend against hiring them.
